the location was great. it was near to shopping and high way to airport hotel staff were unpleasant.. never smiled and hard to approach
near to shopping stores Staff was unpleasant.. unkind.. no smiles
Set in large shopping complex with loads of eateries, However, we dined in hotel restaurant each evening. Not only excellent value but great food and attentive service. 5 minutes from Carrascal tube into Madrid (one change required but quite simple). Room comfortable and well appointed. Parking sectioned off from the shoppers. Range of shops impressive if that is what you want,
The Hotel is nice and is handy for shopping. The Hotel is too far from the City Centre to be used for a city break and the reception staff could be a little more customer focused.
The luxury room with balcony on the shopping-site and the hospitality of all the people of your hotel I made a reservation for a room for 4 days. At first we get roomnumber 111. This is a room without balcony and no vieuw at all! That is unacceptable for a 4-days stay. We made our complain at the ladys of the reception and they gave us roomnr. 135. That was an excellent room.
big supermarket in 1 minute of walk, 5 min to underground, free drinks in refregirator the veiw from window to the opposite wall
quiet, considering the location (public shopping mall) receptionist was unable to arrange for a taxi, in Madrid, in November - there were always plenty around
Hotel is above shopping centre with lots of restaurants for all budgets. There is also a fancy fountain display in the mall, which a lot of the restaurants look out onto. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from a train station that takes you into Madrid Atocha in about 10 minutes, and the Warner Bros park is about 25 minutes away (by car). The rooms are basic, but spacious enough for two adults and two young children. Free WiFi works well.
Nice hotel, good room, good breakfast friendly people. Not so far from the metrostation to visit Madrid. We had a good time over there. The last day during the breakfast it was very busy and a lot of noice in the diningroom
Cleanliness of the room. The rooms are not soundproof. However, being that I was out all day sightseeing, I was too tired to even be bothered.
The hotel reception staff was very courteous and friendly. This is an uncomfortable hotel. It looks and feels dingy. The smell of cigarettes was extremely strong, even in a non-smoking room. Even worse than that, the hallway stunk of dead fish and garbage. The room was poorly laid out, so that even though it was large in square footage, there was no place to put things. I stayed there only because there was no other place near the University.
We were trapped in lift/elevator when it broke down. No apology from hotel management. Aditional car parking charges
I was close to university Carlos III.
price, comfort location
The hotel is quite nice. The staff was nice, the location is good, it's comfortable. I recommend it. My room didn't have a window, only a skylight.
- Very nice hotel in general - Very small room with no windows ! - terrible situation, no way to park your car in the town, so no other choice than to use the private parking and to add 15 EUR to the price of the room !
The breakfast The spaces in the room. It was the smallest where I`ve been in my life
I went into the city every day, and found it to be a little bit far, but it's close to a metro station and a Cercanias station, so it wasn't hard to get in, just about 20 minutes. It was exactly what I needed
Free Wifi (need a PIN at reception), toiletries amenity Far from the railway station (walking distance more than 10 minutes)
Staff Safe box was not working
Nice staff, nice rooms (good beds, luxurious bathroom), very priceworthy dinner buffet. Cheap minibar. It is a bit isolated. Trains and metro take 15 minutes to walk to the station first. Line 4 brings you to central Madrid in 20 minutes for € 1,85 However with a taxi you'll be at the Palace in Madrin in 10 minutes for € 20,-
The breakfast is excellent
The staff was really nice and helpful, and the facilities were really nice. The room was great and their breakfast buffet was awesome. Really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back again. It is not close to Madrid city center but not far either about 30mins using the metro, but still great value for your money.
Cleanliness of room , restaurant on site, quiet location, two type of pillows available Handle in the bathroom missing, magnifying mirror's support broken, staff not always available at front desk
The big room, the big double bed.Very clean room and toilet.Easy and free parking.Kind staff. The access to the hotel was problematic. There was not in the navigation system.
The Reception Area. Ugly room carpet, old tv.
Everything was very nice the noise of the air conditioned
the breakfast was good it was clean and airy the beds were hard, late night access was awkward the restaurant did not open till 2030 hours(far to hungry to wait till then)
The bathroom was the only thing that was the best thing about the place . The food was bad the in meant s was not there .
Very comfortable reasonably priced hotel. Food in the bar/restaurant area was good. An ideal hotel for a business traveller
The room was clean and modern, and the breakfast was OK The phone didn't work, and the walls, for a new hotel, were paper thin.
It is a very good Hotel that suites us for the break in our journey to the south. good breakfast and the service is friendly and very helpful
Third bed was not comfortable
Everything was very new, the proximity to a major shopping center and to Warner Park The 1 hour wait for breakfeast one day.
close to shopping centre. breakfast included, lots of free parking spaces, brand new hotel. I could not find in the GPS.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is directly next to a large shopping outlet. The breakfast in the morning is large and a good value, but if you don't make it there until late in the morning you may be faced with a line up for food. The hotel is far from the city and a cab ride is expensive, so public travel is a must, unfortunately it stops shy of midnight.
place and price
The hotel is basic, but gives good value for the money. It was a good choice for a night stop during a trip to southern Spain. Breakfast choice and quality was quite poor. The rest was as expected, or even a bit better.
excellent location for Park Warner
The staff, the silence and comfort. the restaurant with a good ratio price/quality The cleanliness could be improved in the rooms
the silence and the location
Hotel is modern with nicely designed rooms. Great location for Warner Bros park and easy commute to Madrid by car. Large shopping complex 5 minutes drive. If you don't have a car this is not a place you would want to stay.
Perfect hotel if you are a business traveler with appointments in the getafe area.
Rooms are ok Restaurant service is terrible, food is even worse.
Its location suited me well for visiting the Airbus site (courtesy bus was provided and only a 20 minutes walk if wished). The building was new, modern and clean. The WiFi was effective, fast and free. Some TV channels were available in English and reception was good. The breakfast buffet was varied and plentiful. The aircon in the room did not work. When asked for the instructions I was told it only heated anyway (would have not been good for a Spanish summer). I found the room too hot when I returned, and opening the window did not help much. The hotel lacked character and although built in 2009 there seemed lots of minor things were showing signs of wear - I therefore think the quality of build was not very good.
Overall it's a very good hotel, very clean spacious, well equiped rooms. Downside is the location, if you got a car then it's worth staying otherwise it's too far from everything especially from centre Madrid.
clean, bed was comfy. We booked here thinking we were getting a good deal compared to the last time we stayed in Getafe but it kind of wasn't. When it comes to basics, yes they were good but based on the little extras I wouldn't stay there again. We could never get the AC to work in the room and when we opened the window, the outside traffic was too loud to keep it open for long. We had a fridge in the room but no minibar to purchase. And that usually wouldn't bother me but we were so thirsty in the middle of the night and I had to go down to the lobby to ask if they had anything available. I put the do not disturb sign on the door before we left for the day and when we returned, the maid had entered and cleaned everything. Again, appreciated but we had left our stuff everywhere and what's the point of putting that on the door then. There was no safe in the room. Also, not close to any means of transportation. You'd have to take a bus or taxi to get you to the closest metro or train station which isn't within walking distance.
Ease of access. Breakfast buffet was inconsistently maintained.
very comfortable room excellent bathroom facities and very cleen good parking facilities although we were very comfortable other guests were very inconsiderate and rather noise having loud conversations in the hallways.language battier in hotel was quite hard and no allowance for vegetarian diets
Very comfortable and ideal for Madrid Airport. Transfer also very reliable.
Well run and efficient staff Nothing
Friendly staff, free shuttle was on timeboth ways, very clean, very quiet. The buffets were awful. Tasted like processed or out of a box food. Not worth what you are charging. I would return but I would not eat here.
The hotel was modern, clean and the staff was excellent.
Comfortable, clean, free shuttle, value for money.
Freindly staff, great value, neat and clean.
Shuttle service,helpfull staff.
We stayed in Avant Torrejon for one night during our long trip. The hotel is close to the airport but you can sleep well and rest, because you don't hear anything.
All very modern, friendly staff A little bit far from the airport, but they have a free airport shuttle service that is very good...
We toured Spain and stayed at 5 other hotels and hostels, and found this to be the best of them all. Providing the bufett was welcomed after a long day on the road
Excellent hotel at an excellent price. The van for the airport shuttle is small, so sign up early. New, nice and not expensive.
Very friendly and efficient staff, excellent room, extremely comfortable bed, and good breakfast included in room price - very impressed! Directions provided on hotel's website weren't easy to follow - would be much easier to find if they said they were next to the huge El Corte Ingles and Porcellanosa just off the M50 motorway
Cheap stay, clean room, perfect for a short visit to Madrit and the neighbouring locations. Basic breakfast though perhaps adequate to the price.
all great from staff to the hotel....location was so wrong.....not close to the station and was so scary to walk around to reach shopping centre near by. location...wrong!
Hotel is very modern and clean. Free secure parking. Very good value for money. Breakfast was very basic but didn't expect much for the price paid.
Minimum staff, however very pleasant and helpful. Room was quiet and spotless, also tastefully decorated. Good buffet breakfast choice. Unfortunately the hotel is situated on an industrial estate. To access other areas nearby requires transport. No evening meal is available, however a nearby pizza delivery company will supply guests with a take away which may be consumed in the hotel.
Modern decor and excellent bathroom plus location next to the train station but not at all noisy Slight odour in room (maybe floor polish as the floor was wood effect)
quality of room furnishing very bad airport shuttle availability. Did not book it before my stay and paid 2 x 30 euro return for taxi. Thin room walls.
Nice hotel in a not so nice town
clean, very comfortqble room, great value, very good breakfast have to book shuttle in advance. when we got to airport, shuttle was in use and had to take taxi to get to hotel- clerk was not too helpful about any other choices- this was one of the reasons we stayed there.
Nice rooms. Was not actually close to the airport, the cabbie said it was 20 km away. We arrived at 10 pm to the airport and we waited over an hour for the "free shuttle" which actually turned into a $55 cab ride once we realized the free shuttle was not coming.
Clean, comfortable, next to a few shops and restaurants, next to train/bus for Madrid centre No wifi in rooms. Internet based on cable connection - the cable was very short and had to sit next to television to use.
I booked this hotel because of the free transfer which must be booked well in advance. We were picked up at the mini bus point outside terminal 1 and they returned us to the Airport at 4.30am the following morning. It was nice to have the stress of getting to the airport at that time of moring removed. An excellent service well done. The meal in the cafeteria was disappointing. I ordered a hot club sandwich with chips but it was cold when it arrived and my partner ordered a pasta dish which came when I was half way through my meal. When the pasta dish arrived it was shell fish with black pasta and my partner hates shell fish so he had to eat the rest of my cold club sandwich and I ate the pasta. An english menu would be useful
Friendly staff, nice room, free internet pc use. Gloomy corridors, uncomfortable bar area.
Good, modern room/bathroom, good design. Gym small but good enough for a general workout. Food barely acceptable. Too high priced for being outside of Madrid (Torrejon is a town of its own, separated from the Capital)
Pillow menu - nice soft pillows. Nice shower room. Hotel did allow us to swap our first dinner for breakfast the following morning as we were due to arrive too late to have dinner on our first night. Half board was actually evening meal only, which had to be taken in the cafeteria (not the room). Cafeteria was noisy (loud TV) & smokey. Curtesy bus not available weekday nights or anytime over the weekend. Poor lighting late at night made getting into our room diffucult. No trouser press or DVD player in our executive room.
Room was clean. Friendly staff. Extremely noisy at all hours. Could hear loud conversations in other rooms, footsteps, excessive street noise.
Firstly I liked that the staff of the hotel was always ready to help me with all the problems that could emerge; another positive moment was surely the cheap cost of the hotel while situated not too far from the metro station and other means of transportation.
I'm glad to meet the owners brother,George and one of the employee,John who speak English fluently and are able to assist us in many ways. Thanks to them I have a great trip to Spain
The hotel took me in although I came before check in time by a few hours, it is centrally located in Getaffe near the market and the food outlets and is yet very quiet as a hotel. It was newly renovated and the rooms and bathroom were great with hot jet water and the cleaners did a great job.
Very good location in the center of Getafe, close to the train station (linking Getafe to Madrid in about 15 minutes) and shops. Only the lack of a lift, however we stayed at the first floor. A more practical (and feasible) improvement would be placing a small fridge in each room.
Good wifi and nice staff. Ordinary breakfast but good value for money
Very friendly staff and very helpful in getting around a new city, the room was more than comfortable and had a good range of amenities. It was only the location of the window and that it was not able to be opened up fully ( or if it was, I could not figure it out) to enjoy a better view from the window.
Internet is for free, the room was nice,... Parking is to expensive, the garage its to small to park,...
The room and the bathroom were very nice and clean, everything was almost new. The price of the room was very good, the receptionist speaks English and it was very kind. It's outside Madrid. Although, in the metropolitan area of Madrid. By train you make 20 minutes to the City Center (by metro, around 1 hour). The railway station is very close. They had no curtains on the windows, only drapes, so you had to stay with the drapes and the lights on, or people on the street could easily see you in the room.
The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were great! The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating, and the food from the restaurant was delicious! Also the close proximity to Getafe Central...5 minutes or less by foot! The say they offer daily cleaning, but it's really just tossing the trash and making the bed. There was hair from someone other than me from the moment I got there to when I left...from either a previous guest or someone who cleaned. The breakfast buffet was very limited for 6 euros...could have probably eaten somewhere else for much cheaper with more options. Also was far from the city centre: about and hour or so from Getafe Central to Sol on the metro.
Very close to Leganes regional train (and metro) station Room is quite small and cramped for a three-star hotel with basic facilities. Although the hotel is located ca 10 km south of Madrid, the price is about the same as a 1-star/2-star hostel in downtown Madrid. I had to stay here because the cheap hotels in central Madrid were booked out.
The facilities were excellent and my room was clean, spacious and well cared for in everyway. On the technical side the room was amazing, with a large flat screen TV showing a vast range of channels and a host of Films for a very reasonable €4.00 per day. Reception and Room Service could not have been better and the Airport Pick-up service was very good too. I would certainly recommend this hotel, but at the moment - without the food option - see below....... It was very difficult to find by car and its location was in the centre of a Business and Commercial Area, so the views were not good. I had booked with breakfast and because of the location I also opted for evening meals. this is where the hotel let itself down badly. There was only one member of staff on duty which was clearly not enough. Even so he disappeared for long stretches of time so that items ran out, and food under the warmer congealed almost beyond edibility. The Hotel Management need to thoroughly review this area if they are going to offer food, as this was the only area that was below 4 star level.
Breakfast is very good and the dinner buffet is fine too. Only the shower room need some adjustment because the water came out so easy.
We were totaly satisfied with this hotel. The staff was extraordinary kind, polite, flexible and helpful. The buffest breakfast was well prepared with wide variatons, the only thing what we missed some greens, tomatoes. The coffe was surprisingly fine, not so strong of course. The fruit juices werent flooded with tap water as in many places. The location is far from everithing but the public transport is working and the hotel is easily accessible by car. The restaurant next to the hotel is perfect and before the main lunch time nobody is there to smoke. The is black shell is the best ever we eaten. We have definitely nothing to complain. Good value for the money.
shuttle service to and from airport, very helpful! also free internet, comfy beds
Room was clean enough and there was a wi-fi. bad restaurant (not even a restaurant only buffet), no good service, no good bar.
Good quality room Shuttle service a let down, some distance from airport, late arrival meant food a problem after 10.30
The personnel at the Front Desk were excellent. Welcoming, warm and patient. The buffet breakfast was sumptious. Excellent value for money I felt. The location at first as the hotel quite far from everything. But then on a curiosity trip to Torrejon de Ardoz (the nearest train station in the area), I was delighted by the lovely and reasonable yet modern shops, as well as the nice restaurants, the public square, the Semana procession and the quaint houses etc. I wanted to go back there again but alas, no time.
Clean, good location to IFEMA visitors. Not enough staff, bad isolation between rooms
Dinner buffet, huge and delicious. The stuff doesn't speek English at all.
Room was very nice. Staff were friendly. Location for us was good as we did not want to drive into Madrid and instead we were able to drive to the nearby train station and caught the train into Madrid which was convenient. Shower head was awesome but ended up flooding the bathroom. Air conditioning was working which was great because it was 38 degrees in Madrid while we were there. Can't really understand why they charge for parking when other hotels with similar parking garages do not. Shower cubicle still had hair clips from the previous guest which made us question the cleanliness of the shower. Shower ended up flooding the entire bathroom because the drain wasn't draining well enough.
Great room, nice restaurant and very good structure. Great value for the price.
Hotel design and the resturant design that are together are so nice. and breakfast and hotel staff were good. hotel is in the zone B of madrid and it is expensive and time consuming to reach it especially from airport, therefore it is not good place for who wants to visit the city.
nothing really Staff not professional, toilet was not cleaned, wifi connection poor or not working, food in restaurant the worst I have experienced for a too high price (16 euros buffet incl.drink), noise from the restaurant, bar was not open. This hotel is like a chinese tool, it looks good from the outside but the quality is very poor.
Comfortable overnight stop with good facilities and easy access to good value restaurant 50 metres away
The hotel was slightly dated, but very clean and the food and service in the resturant was very excellent. Its is very hard to find and you need a car to visit any attractions as the only access to the city is via a bus then the metro. Buses stop at 9.20pm. There is no where to go on foot from the hotel.
Noise from traffic at a4 could not be heard! Swimming pool opens only during the afternoon from 13h to 18h. This is very uncommon and the information was not published here intentionally as staff at reception admitted. lcd tv had no signal (only blue screen). No air conditioned remote control was available nor any way to control the unit unless using the disconnector next to it.
Parked under the room, motel style. Comfortable, but AC did not work. Restaurant not open but cafeteria was, with the restaurant Maitre D in charge. A cafe with a Maitre D ??? Food absolute rubbish
Very pleased with Hotel. Dissapointed to find that the restarunt was closed.
Beautiful facility This is a hotel located by the side of a busy highway, 20miles away from Madrid. The location is very inaccessible and surrounding is dirty and far from any food facility. Do not go there unless you have a car and know your surroundings.
Very good option for a short stay like i did.Confortable and quiet. The advantage of having a free garage under the room is a plus. Good, spacious room. The breakfeast is basic but fair.Good if you traveling and equal nice if you want to visit Madrid. Very good price / confort relation.
the cafeteria staff were very rude and arrogant, i chose to eat else where because of this. the room smelt like cigarets which was disgusting
Although restaurant closed, the meal the Cafe provided was very good. Staff al very helpful. Difficult to access off a 4 lane motorway. If you missed the turning which we did because it was off a slip road, it was a bit hairy turning round.
Despite the location near the highway, i never noticed any noise in the hotel interior. I also liked the fact that it was sorrounded by tall vegetation fact that transmited a sense of privacy. Good and free parking, each room as a parking space. The hotel website could have the map with the directions to the hotel, for example the map that they have in the reception, because we found dificult to acess it eventhought we saw it.
The Hostal Torrejon is a good hotel, we didn't have any problem about the rooms or service. If you don't have to go to the center of Madrid, it's a good choice. It's far away from the center and inconvenient for public transport and in uninteresting location.
hotel staff and cleanliness of my room
Nice hotel. Modern, clean, spacious room. Pleasant, helpful staff. On the same cercanía line as Alcalá de Henares, so it was easy to pass a few spare hours in Alcalá. The hotel has a free shuttle service to the Madrid airport, however it did not start running early enough for me to catch an 8:00 a.m. flight, so I had to pay 30 Euros for a taxi ride. I had chosen this hotel because of its reasonable rate and its free shuttle service, but the taxi ride negated the reasonable room rate.
Staff were easy to approach, even though I am not fluent in Spanish
I booked the hotel because it had a shuttle bus to and from the airport. However, this was not a 24 hour service and I ended up having to pay another 30 euro for a taxi to the airport. I would have stayed at another hotel if I had known this
The room seemed to be recently renovated, nice modern design. The restaurant was opened until late and the restaurant's staff had good suggestions. I had wanted a hotel near Madrid airport. Hostal Torrejon is actually quite far away (15 minutes by car) and their shuttle service ends at 22:30. Si if you have arrive late, you will have to take a taxi, which adds to the price.
nothing. neutral. yes, the electricity went off from 12.30am to 5.30am. Why? It's not afghanistan!
