Centrally located near train station, shopping and city sights. Helpful staff. Good value No parking on-site.
Great location, good breakfast It most be great to stay here during winter, but in summer months is too hot and did not have any ventilation.
rooms were large decor was dated
The Pool was great, the hotel clean and friendly. Restaurant menu limited for vegetarians. No night staff so nothing happened before 7 am
All that we required for walking and fresh air
All facilities were right there in the hotel
Hotel too far from tobogganing park, not good with small kids walking up all those hills to get back to hotel after a tired day of play. Didnt have enough choice on food.
Good location for mountains and lifts, nice view across the valley and large sized comfortable room. In need of renovation in a few areas - bathroom had a bright orange sink! During my stay the restaurant was being renovated so the owners seem to be addressing this.
Ease of access and helpful staff. Bathroom was not clean (hair stuck to wall of shower), breakfast selection was limited.
Friendly personnel, the pool and sauna, lovely view of the room, very good buffet food.
Beutiful location and nice staff Hotel generally very run down, old carpets in corridor, very unfresh, bed very sat down on the side - not a four star hotel, booring expensive breakfast
The room is clean, big and comfortable. The view is good. The location is very convenient. It has wireless internet with payment. There is no coffee cooker or mini bar. Therefore, we cannot have boiled or hot water.
Very kind and helpful staff. It is a very comfortable 'anyplace anywhere' hotel, which was fine for this stay, a bit stale.
Hotel staff, comfort
I arrived late (at about 11pm) and although the kitchen closed at 9:30pm, the waitress provided me with food and drink - excellent service
the reseption staff were so beautiful exactly "Geraldine" the location : you have to step up the mountain for a distance more than 10 km to get the hotel. also the house keeping was bad
The hotel is reasonably good
Wireless Internet & Convenient The telephone in the room cannot work.
a very nice hotel, in a picturescue location. Very good value for money, higly recommended The price for the breakfast is high
It is very comfortable, there is the kitchen.Very nice wiew.
The room was spacious, the furniture not too old and in very good condition. Quiet location. Nice and clean bathroom including a hairdryer that can be used also for long hair without taking ages to dry my hair.
The apartments are ideal for families or groups. Well equipped and comfortably appointed. Beautiful views. The specific apartment we used was not ideal for small children as the upstairs bedroom is up a very steep set of stairs.
the good deal with the price, nice apartment and clean bed sheets, the place was very cold when we arrived
Spacious, clean apartment, well fitted kitchen, underground parking, didn't have to check out until 1800. Quite far from the main lifts in resort.
The view of the mountains. The beds were surprisingly uncomfortable. Including the sofa bed. I think that the quality of mattress and beds can improve.
The view of the Swiss Alpes, no other town has the visibility of so many mountains In November there is still no snow so you will need to go to the 3000 glacier which is about 100 francs just to get there.
- Customer oriented staff. They really went out of their way to please the customer. - An in-room kitchen with young kids is a major bonus. - Fast service - The staff brought us a baby crib right away. - Covered parking - Pullout bed (fouton) not very comfortable for 4 person room
Everything was great, nice view, good service. Great value for the price. The only drawback was the fact that hotel is situated a bit far from main tourists places.
The mountain views were wonderful. Very nice town in the Alps.
The view - fantastic. Excellent breakfast - and taken on a lovely terrace. Spacious chalet room. Uncomfortable bed with horrible duvet covers. Cracked sink
The view was amazing. By far the best hotel in an amazing area filled with other beautiful hotels. Very romantic and refreshing. Food was great too
Flexible and charming team. Great food in the restaurant, including the breakfast buffet. Very clean rooms and well kept surroundings. Flat pathetic pillows and inspite of turning all visible heating equipment off, the room kept heating up in the night. Very good for winters, I'm sure, but not otherwise. Horrible coffee, dispensed by a machine, which is fine, but the beans were burnt. Change the beans.
very quiet and nicely situeted hotel .nice view on the mountains.. the SPA was "out of order"
Nice hotel, comfortable and clean, friendly staff, good cuisine. Good 4 stars hotel, but too high location (difficult to walk) and problems with parking. To stay there was nice, to leave and come back - was the problem, the hotel for to overnight or for skying may be(we were at summer time).
bien. a besoin de rénovation; the dining room has a "mexican decor" not adequate for this region of the world; the mexican music during the breakfast; waiting time at the reception to check out; the hotel did not have our Reservation - we were lucky there was a room available.
Location is stunning. Staff very friendly, food at breakfast and evening meal was excellent. None really, although the bathroom was a little darkly-lit.
The food was amazing! Very friendly staff
I needed a filled ice bucket with two wine glasses, which were not in the room. I went down to the bar in the hotel & the staff were so helpful! They brought everything directly to my room. Nice & friendly service staff! & the view is absolutely incredible from the balcony! The hotel is an older establishment, and the rooms are very small, but I think this is the best value for for money in Leysin where there are not so many hotels!
The chalet has an amazing view and the staff were friendly. It was worth the extra money to have the chalet room as it was much larger and airier for not alot extra. Our children had a standard room which was very nice but a little small and dark. We all loved sitting in the spa with the snowy alps in the distance. It is not possible to walk to the shops and restaurants in Leysin. It is a bit out of the way. But great if you want quiet.
The hospitality and the views. Somewhat difficult to find.
Very friendly atmosphere - guests made to feel very welcome. Owners can provide lots of information about the area and its attractions. Very good breakfast provided. There is a well equipped kitchen for guests who do not want to eat out in the village None
Living the dream review: The best value for money near Montreux. Great beds and showers. Videos and kitchen facilities great. And the view from the window after snowing the whole night- awesome. The free coffee and juice is great. Breakfast is included and includes Porriage, bread, cheese, ham, waffles, spreads, jogurt. Hourly trains from Aigle to Leysin with good connections to Montreux, Geneva, Visp If you want luxury not the place to go, but if you are laidback and want to cook your own meals this place is for you
Owner was amazing and very nice. Great food and room was pretty nice. The location is a bit out of the way and a little difficult to get to, but well worth it once you get there.
Lovely hotel, and lovely owners could not be more helpful
Nice hotel, pleasant stay.
Warm fabulous hosts, superb room - comfortable, warm, and great view. Excellent location, yummy breakfast. Glorious!!!! Absolutely nothing
very warm welcome - great room (with adjoining room for our 13yr old that worked very well) with huge balcony and incomparable views of the mountains. Great to take breakfast back to the balcony to enjoy the sun and views in comfort. Use of kitchen & dining room meant we could suit ourselves re eating in/out. Would stay again
The house is so beautiful that we like it very much! And the hostess is very kind~~The breakfast is rich. The dogs are lovely~ When we arrived there is no person in the house despite two dogs,we had to wait for half an hour......And the traffic is not so convenient...
Rooms are basic, warm and tidy. Some rooms have terrace where you can see Alps mountains. Owner is friendly, as well as her two dogs. Recommend for young people with low budget.
Good hotel for the active person who only uses a hotel to sleep at night and have breakfast.
breakfast dinner not available
Very helpful friendly staff, quiet place, nice bedroom.
silent, beautiful village in the mountains excellent for tourists, who spend only the night in the hotel breakfast
Good position, possibility to go to the mountain or other intersting sites, quite place, warming welcome.
Manager was helpful, good mountain views from room, sufficient parking beside hotel, room was clean and adequate continental breakfast. Hotel in need of an update and our room was also in need of new carpet.
Central location, comfortable and friendly staff.
Nothing Hotel in need of updating and staff need course in customer relations
The owner was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, very large, and was reasonably priced. We really liked the Hotel La Tour d'Ai and would certainly recommend it to our friends. No.
Nice view over mountains. A bit isolated but silent and calm location. Cold at night.
The quite situation before the green mountain panorama. A very quite place to make a holiday road stage or to pass a "green week-end". Some good typical restaurants in the village.
avoid noisy rooms far from center. Poor breakfast no english spoken
The atmosphere was relaxed and the owner was hands on but very relaxed and let you feel at home. No complaints.
Nice room, very good breakfast, friendly people
Nice view to te mountains from the terrace of the room, clean and quiet place. Check in only after 5pm. Breakfast limited.
surrounding, friendliness of the staff and valuable information provided
Magnificent location ,
Competitive price, calm location, great view, relaxed atmosphere
Beautiful view and area around the "hotel". The owners of the hotel were very kind and accommodating. Bad directions. The hotel is quite far from Aigle and is difficult to find since the roads are not well marked on mountain top. Make sure to bring a good map. The "hotel" is just a house with three rooms to rent on the bottom floor so we could hear the owners walking around at night. Breakfast was very good but basic.
A very cosy BB a bit outside of town. The (continental) breakfast was really good. The family running the BB was friendly. Highly recommended if you don't mind walking 10-15 minutes to town.
Pretty views No sheets!! No clean towels every day or on any day. The table in the room was old plastic with a dirty cloth covering. One small towel per person for the entire 4 day stay. The mattresses were hard as rocks! Breakfast buffet was awful. The buffet featured corn flakes, muesli, yougurt, chocolate corn flakes, milk, bread, tea or coffee every day. Never fresh fruit, or fresh juice; The wireless internet does not work and the management did not care to repair it. The furniture in the living and general areas was very old and in need of replacement. There was no sauna as advertised unless you walked to another facility and advised them in advance .
The friendly feel and standard of the rooms. Friendly accomodating staff who were very keen to ensure we had a good stay The bill was a 100 gbp more than was quoted on your site which was not expected. We are still puzzled at this but felt we had to pay it as we did not speak enough French to understand why this had happened - so this was disappointing
The hospitality, it feels like beeing at home. very comfortable. price is a bit high
Comfortable room, reasonably close to lifts. Exorbitant credit card charge, no curtain on bathroom window, never anyone at reception, no soaps/shower gel in bathroom. Should not be classified as a hotel when it is a bed and breakfast.
Good views. Kind host. Big room. Free WIFI.
The great view of the swiss alps from the bedroom window and friendly and helpful staff
Located in a lovely position, with confortable and clean room. Nice and friendly staff available at any time. The wireless well up and running. Breakfast needs to be improved: to cover a range of sliced ham, salami..(not only cheese) some fruit and eggs.
It was very clean and well presented. For a holiday it would be a good place to stay. I stayed here on a business trip. As such it was not suitable. There was no "in room" drinks facility (until I asked for it) and there were no soaps or shower gels. Luckily I had a soap from another hotel. Finally, as I was the only guest the heating was on low and I was very cold at night.
Charming chalet. Room very comfortable and warm. Warm welcome on a daily basis. Good location close to ski lifts and a short walk into the village.
Beautiful setting, wonderful, helpful staff, very clean. I think this was an excellent value, particularly based upon rates at other comparable facilities in the area.
The hotel was in a wonderful location and the large corner room with a large balcony had glorious views. ( We had reservations about room safety at the hotel). We stayed off peak in August and there was only one dining room open. I have read the type of menu they had many times "en Suisse" and my wife and I were disappointed with the standard of the food, its presentation and unusual execution. The waiting staff were very polite.
The cleanliness and comfort and the fact that they offer free shuttle service into town. But then again, if they did not offer that nobody would stay! They charged the client for everything, Tea water and the charges weren't cheap either.
The facilities, and service, the room. The room was too hot.
Excellent service and good value although there were some hidden costs e.g. parking, which are not necessary in a rural hotel.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay as our children were staying in an apartment next door and it was most convenient No
All super!!!! No
Staff really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Really great with kids 2 of the resturants had the same menu's and there wasn't that much choice, but otherwise the food was good
Excellent facilities, close to the ski area and very comfortable. The cost of the taxi arranged by the hotel from Geneva Airport was extremelly expensive.
The bedrooms are of the highest quality and the bathroom one of the best among any five star alternatives. Everything was beyond expecations. Expensive, but you really felt you were getting fabulous return value. Thanks booking.com for keeping us informed of low-season discounts. Great job! Just a tad over the top expensive
Very friendly and helpful staff, new facility with modern but still cozy features. The breakfast buffet is meager (especially if you show up after 10 am - although served until 10.30), the pool to cold and although staying in a junior suite a small room.
position, friendly atmosphere some of the chairs are a little dated and not comfortable.would like a seperate shower in the superior rooms.
The staff is friendly, helpful and speak good English. The food in the restaurant is very good, the bar is charming and fun and the waiters and waitresses are very nice. The hotel is within a short walk to other good restaurants, nice shops and the train station. They provide free internet in the lobby or you can buy it in your room. They provide for your use a laptop computer in the lobby. They have free parking outside or you can pay 12 SF to park in the garage under the hotel. Our rooms were charming with pine furniture, a shower in the bathroom and comfortable linens. They provide a lovely buffet breakfast with fruits/juices/ meats/cheeses/eggs/sausage/yogurt/cereal, several kinds of bread, croissants, coffee & tea with a mountain view If you book a room in the front of the hotel the train starts running at 5:45 AM. Not a problem if you do not have the French doors open or if you are not a light sleeper.
The wellness area was new and modern. The interior of the hotel is completly out dated.
I liked the breakfasts, the dining room very inviting and staff friendly - the views were stunning from the breakfast room. I thought the staff on the whole were very friendly.
Convenient location and large rooms A little dated
Please write at least 15 words
friendly and relaxed
location , lounge bar good rooms were cold No fitness room
Generally very friendly and helpful staff
The room was renewed, with an adorable bathroom, showering looking out the window and seeing all the mountains was priceless. The terrace was huge, quiet with again a lovely view on the mountains. Breakfast OK, not too fancy. Not too much variety of things, but the necessary was there.
Helpful staff, excellent menu and wines, convenient location, good breakfast (excellent fresh bread and home-made conserves). They omitted to clean our room one day, but it was done promptly once it was pointed out. I would have liked access to a computer to pick up e-mails - I don't take a laptop computer on holidays.
beds were very comfortable and the rooms were cosy. Staff was wonderful, food delicious. Very well located.
Nice comfortable room with a view of the mountains from our balcony. Generally most staff spoke good english and were very helpful.
The welcome we received and the overall friendliness and helpfulness of the staff during our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely not!
The servive and kindness of the maitre was poor.
The place is very beautiful, the staff very attentive and the breakfast wonderfull The mattress is not good.
well located. very welcoming & efficient staff. Good restaurant
The location is right in the middle of Villars, but there is a marvelous view onto the Chablais. They are renovating their rooms, and ours was very nice, with a lovely bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Hotel position is excellent and good parking
The housekeeping staff was very friendly and responsive. Any request was quicky accomodated The rooms were "tired", with laminate peeling off of the bed footboard and closet. I stay in Villars - at least once every year - and find the Bristol and Golf a better value but these other hotels were not available at this time.
I've stayed in Villars a lot over the years and I have grown accustomed to mediocre hotels with high rates. The Eurotel Victoria broke that trend! The room was large with great views, the staff was amazingly friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was plentiful and parking was free despite what was mentioned on the website. I'll definitely stay there next time! The only thing I did not like, but it was not really a problem, was that our room was on the top floor which was not reachable by the elevator. I would not think twice about it had I not been travelling with a baby!
The salad buffet in the retaurant was absolutely amazing. The rooms were really comfortable and very big and I wish I had that bathroom at home! The breakfast staff was rude despite having asked for an early breakfast the night before.
Nothing It was a bad experience !!!!!!!!!!!1
I guess it is a good size room with plenty of storage. Good facilities for families Overpriced 3 star at best. Room was not only smelly but bed was terribly uncomfortable. On top floor could hear lift working in room all night. Staff not rude but untrained. Bufffet B/fast tables unsanitary. No sneeze guards over food or tongs to pick food up. Food all handled by guests so if one guest had not washed their hands... Not a risk I was willing to take. Overall very dissapointing. Not a hotel for couples.
The staff were friendly. It is very conveniently located in Villars.I will use the hotel in the future as my daughter is a pupil at Aiglon College and it was very convenient. Car parking was on trust that the local "Traffic Wardens" acepted the cards provided,It worked as far as I was concerned.I apppreciate that in a very restricted area like Villars that space is at a premium so a solution would be very expensive.
Friendly and efficient hotel, good for children located 400m from the pic d'orsay cable car
The location is very good, since the hotel is on the lake and very close to Chateau de Chillon. There is a nice trail from the hotel to the castle.
The hotel had no record of our reservation with booking.com, but were very helpful and managed to accomodate us in two rooms rather than one family room for the same rate. The area around Villeneuve was a little run down and the location of the hotel right next to a night club and the policy of no designated "no smoking"rooms may make it less attractive for families. However, the room was still clean with excellent lake views and the restaurant opposite offered a good choice of food and a children's menu. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed our time there and would recommend it to others.
Fabulous view of Lac Lasserne from bedroom balcony. Excellent lakeside restaurant
Well located, efficient, clean well equipped rooms, easy car parking opposite - can prepay the meter the night before for the following morning.
Easy for ski slopes. Good sized room with good variety available.Pleasant staff. Handy for shops and restaurants no
Excellent location. Splendid service: very friendly and courteous host,
I had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
Very friendly and helpful proprietor and staff. Clean, efficient - a great example of a decent, simple hotel - just what we wanted for a 3 day ski break.
The location of the hotel is excellent for skiing. The staff are very welcoming and the in-room breakfast is a fabulous idea for getting yourself organised for the slopes in the morning! The kitchen facilities in the room should not have an additional charge and each room should have a kettle and tea / coffee facilities.
Very clean, kind staff, free room service for breakfast and cozy atmosphere. Parking is free of charge, by the way.
Friendly, and comfortable hotel with efficient servce and good location
refurbished rooms and bathrooms with very comfortable beds, helpful staff, close to bus stop and train station. very quiet at night.
location very small room and bath room
Room was comfortable and clean. Convenient for railway station and boat service. Hotel fronts onto a fairly busy road - traffic noise with window open. Breakfast could have been more substantial - need to get downstairs early to avoid empty plates! To be fair, more may have been available - I didn't ask. No tea/coffee in room: given the room price this would have been very welcome.
