Staff were very friendly, we arrived late so they accomodated us very quickly, nice hotel presentation from outside and also inside to
Reservation was not made correctly so instead of a double room we were given a twin, we were compensated by free english breakfast
Dirty tired hotel breakfast did not even bother went out it was an insult to even be considered a breakfast booked 3 nights only stayed 2
Service was nice and staff were helpful
Heating not easily controlled
Everything just fine.
Room was described as a double de-luxe, this was definitely not the case, it was in the attic, with sloping floors, I couldnt stand up in the shower due to the sloping ceiling, You could feel the springs through the mattress, The window was at floor level and about 600mm high, you had to lie on the floor to see out. The shower curtain had seen better days
Convenient to find and central
Breakfast was rather chaotic! Little food available after 9 p.m.
Staff were friendly and helpful
Rooms were of a very poor standard.
The bathroom and windows were filthy. The atmosphere of the hotel was neither safe nor welcoming.
the lady who cleaned my room
i did not like the way i was treated, the hotel was not handicapped accessable, the lifts were broken 5/9 days i was there, there was no information available about things in the hotel such as the bar, the restaurant, the game room, the common room, i found them by accident. the staff was not willing to help with suitcases/bags
Built in 1854 to coincide with the reopening of the Crystal Palace exhibition venue, Best Western London Queens Crystal Palace Hotel is a striking Victorian building in one of the most picturesque parts of south London. A stay here puts you in good company – French writer Emile Zola resided here for many months in the 1890s during his time in exile, while German emperor Kaiser Wilhelm II used the hotel as a base for his visits to Queen Victoria. Our updated rooms all come with contemporary décor, air conditioning, flat-screen TV and hairdryer. We also have an onsite car park, conferencing facilities, Italian restaurant and spacious ground floor lounge bar with satellite TV. Selhurst Park football ground is only a five-minute drive away, while Crystal Palace Park is just two minutes by car. If you’re looking to do a spot of sightseeing while you’re here, you’ll find the major attractions of central London around 8 miles from the hotel.
