Pros:Perfect spot to stay at in Hollywood if you’re a no-frills traveler; clean and friendly staff
Cons:No elevator available to get up the very steep stairs; hard to negotiate that with a heavy duffel bag

Pros:So, to start off, let me say that this is not a hotel. It's a cheap way to share a room with seven other people and have a little base of operations to explore from. The thing that impressed me most was how clean it was. Every time I went anywhere in the hostel, there was someone cleaning something. I felt very comfortable in that. Also, having a lot of internationals around makes for great conversation. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. Great stay overall!
Cons:The only thing I didn't really enjoy as much (and this really couldn't be avoided) was sharing a room with 7 people. Not that they weren't nice; just the awkwardness of not having much privacy and trying not to make much noise when you come in late or head out early. Other than that, it was great.

Cons:Long flights of stairs to room. Very slippery tiled shower floors -- I fell! $2 extra for towels.

Pros:Great breakfast, and very clean all around. Super helpful and friendly staff. Lockers in the room for your valuables and a really soft blanket! The beds were pretty good and there were sockets in between each bed with room for about 6 plugs.
Cons:Everyone showers in the morning so the water gets really cold. This is not their fault though:)

Pros:Nothing
Cons:Everything. The minute we get there we are ignored for a good 15min while the front desk flirted with a girl in the lobby. We are finally helped, but with attitude from the minute I opened my mouth to check in. Then we were told I had to have a passport to check in. I provided my out of state drivers license and was told that still wasn't enough. They had to have an itinerary showing that I planned on leaving. Nothing on the website we used to book advised anything about having to provide a passport and i have stayed at sevreal hostels around the US and never once did they require a passport to stay at their establisment. I even double checked my itinerary details when we left to see if there was any disclaimer. We ended up just cancelling our reservations as long as they didn't charge us. The guy checking us in was rude the entire time and had little to no care if we stayed. Never again.
