Pros:The staff was very helpful. It was quiet and very relaxing.
Cons:My only complaint is the mandatory resort fee. We did not use any aspect of the resort. I do not like that I was charged $30.00 for something we did not use.

Pros:Lakeside restaurant was fantastic with new management, new specials and great food! The location is beautiful!
Cons:This hotel is under staffed. Only room service available at the lobby bar on Mondays it took more than 1 1/2 hours to get my food order, multiple customers faced the same issue and we actually felt sorry for the employees as it was severely understaffed. The hot tub wasn’t working, water slides not operating and the grounds unkept. Balconies don’t have chairs and in general the property looks under maintained. Prices are of a 4 Star Resort with $12 drinks but the service and facilities are more like a two star property.

Cons:Understaffed and overwhelmed by groups. It took over 30 minuets just to get a beer. Poor logistics at buffet style restaurant and not enough waiters serving beverages (not even a fountain with juice and water). We all practically finished our meal before being served coffee and orange juice.

Pros:the updated room was very nice, love the bathroom the ball room and convention area is beautiful. we had beautiful views from our room.
Cons:when we entered NO one greeted us. the desk staff 3 at the time. One person being waited on. the other didn't say hello or we will be with you in a minute or anything , felt like they didn't want to have eye contact because they would have to help us check in. the wait was not long, but was not welcoming. the remote in the room for the living room didn't work, you would think they would check things like that. I didn't want to spend my time getting things fixed in the room somebody must have been cleaning up in the entry (in plan site of the check in) , there was a cleaning bottle just left in the area on the floor in the middle of the area, no one seemed to care at all. the exterior of the tower very plain hasn't changed in the 20 years since we visited before. Not attractive at all. Looks old. I understand it is winter, as I have traveled in the winter I have seen some nice winter landscaping. they might wont to do a little during this time. the windows in our room where really dirty. took away from the beautiful views

Cons:The overall facility was dirty. We had a room on the seventh floor, but there was noted bug and bird feces all over the Windows- everywhere. It doesn't seem that management is concerned with the presentation/cleanliness of the resort. We had noted pet hair on our carpet- for the duration of our stay, there was a towel wrapped under the ice machine on our floor (never changed). The buffet was the only eatery we tried, which was enough for us to want to venture off site for dining choices. The food of the buffet was limited and wasn't fresh, no one was available at the cutting station (though there were only two other tables at the time). Not worth the value for what we paid for a party of three. The pool area was also unkept. There were fire ants on the one section entering the lazy river. Only four elevators for a hotel with 20 floors? It was a stampede trying to get an elevator. I hope that the current management of this hotel reads reviews to improve their establishment- it is a nice location, and not too far a distance from Houston for a quick getaway, however, the price to stay here isn't justified with the subpar upkeep.

Pros:We loved the pools, the food was good, the staff was helpful. We loved the sushi bar. The piano player was fantastic. We have spent time at other resorts similar to this and this was the best value we have found! Rooms were huge!!!!
Cons:Needs a little upgrade, the lazy river is just OK. A little better customer service in food/bar.
