Summary of reviews

Guests say
Guests overwhelmingly praised the hotel's excellent location, with many highlighting its convenience for exploring the city. The staff generally received positive remarks for their friendliness and helpfulness, though a few guests reported isolated incidents of unfriendliness or lack of attention to detail. However, the small room sizes were a frequent complaint, as was the limited and sometimes disappointing breakfast offering. Cleanliness was an issue for some, with a few reviews mentioning dirty rooms. Overall, while the location and service were appreciated, improvements could be made in room size, breakfast, and cleanliness.

It was a ok hotel. When I asked for a refill of my morning coffee I was told by a snotty waitress that “ we don’t give refills “. I was paying 400.00 A night.

Pros (+) Stylish hotel with beautiful public spaces in an excellent location
Cons (-) Rooms are so small that I couldn’t open my suitcase without putting it on the bed. No natural light, which can be a blessing in NYC, as street noise usually accompanies natural light. Nicely renovated room, but I do not know how two people can fit in a space so small.

Pros (+) Location was great for my business in the city. Staff was nice.
Cons (-) The lobby was under construction, walls were thin in my room so it was noisy at night. No coffee available until 7am and I had to leave in mornings by 6:30am. Rooms were very small.

Pros (+) The staff were accommodating when I requested a late checkout due to an interview in the city - it was great to have a place to come back to and change before another long travel day. This is the second time I've stayed at the hotel and each time the stay has been nice, staff friendly, and rooms comfortable and clean.

Pros (+) Enjoyed my stay. The rooms are petit but have all you need. Bathroom a decent size with a good shower. Nice pastries in reception for breakfast + kettle to make tea / coffee. Easy walk to many midtown locations. Street noise average for NY. Staff were very friendly. Overall a very nice surprise considering I had never heard of the hotel before
Cons (-) WiFi often needed to be logged back in when you returned to your room but worked well when connected

Pros (+) This hotel is very cute and boutique. It's unique character is charming and inviting. I was only there for the weekend for a short business trip and the hotel was a 5 minute walk from where I needed to be, so the convenience to a lot of locations within walking/subway distance is a major plus. Even though NYC traffic is loud the hotels windows blocked out a majority of the noise, which was nice fo...
Cons (-) The only thing that was a huge issue for me, which is not the hotels fault, was all the party people coming in at all hours of the night and being unbelievably loud at 3am. Woke up several different times during both nights which wasn't fun. Heavier doors or maybe asking guests if they are in for business then putting them away from the elevators? Again, not the hotel's issue, just wasn't a restfu...

Pros (+) I booked this last minute to get a quad room for a family. They ran out of rooms with two beds so after some back and forth gave us a suite with one bed and a couch. The weird thing about this hotel is that it is located next to the museum of sex. My 7 year old kept asking if we could visit (not good) and there were a lot of younger/partying people on our floor that yelled into the night. Overall ...
Cons (-) Museum next door and younger crowd- not great for families

Pros (+) Great place to stay! Convenient location in a non touristy part of the city. Being a former long-time resident of Grammercy, this is nice and close to my home neighborhood. Small but efficient and comfortable rooms, nice toiletries, good beds and linens, quiet.
Cons (-) Nothing

Pros (+) Nice staff, powerful shower, nice bathroom fixtures, good liens and firm bed.
Cons (-) Very small and noisy. Radiant headed floors in bathroom would not heat. Two requests of front desk staff to have repaired not fulfilled. No room make up after 2nd night. No coffee service in the room. A pot of coffee shows up at 7am in the lobby with small pastries. No napkins, they have a box of facial tissues. New Yorker visitors much be used to poor value.
