We booked through Kayak and accidently booked the car in our home town in Minneapolis. I was unable to get a refund from Kayak so I tried to get a refund from SIXT. Even thought the mistake was discovered minutes after the reservation was made I had to pay for 3 days of the rental just to cancel. Probably wont use Kayak or SIXT again. Should have been an easy correction from Kayak or SIXT instead cost me $145.00 for nothing. Booked my rental car through Hertz2.0 Poor

Pros:
The staff was more than helpful and accommodating. I have limited mobility. One of them volunteered to take my wife and I to the terminal with our luggage. That is what I call above and beyond.Cons:

I found out after going to the wrong place that the MSP airport has two Hertz counters in different terminals. The lady at the counter was very nice and said it was no problem and would help me find a car at her terminal. We ended up with a Jeep Cherokee that was amazing.7.2 Good

Pros:
When I went to return my car, I didn't realize that I hadn't filled the gas tank and it was only 1/3 full. The attendant let me leave the lot and gave me instructions on getting to the nearest gas station. This saved me about $60 and I was very grateful. Thank you, Hertz return attendant, for being so kind and accommodating!Dollar

The rate I was charged differed from the rate on my reservation. When I called, I was on hold for over 20 minutes then was told because it was in the first 24 hours after return they couldn’t make any credits to my account and I would have to call back. Which is just ridiculous6.0 Okay

Apparently MSP airport has 2 pickups for rental cars. We didn’t know this. I was told upon pickup that I was at the wrong place. They took care of me though. We dropped it off at the address listed on the agreement. It was at the other terminal. We had to hump our luggage on a train, through the other terminal and than a tram. We were in good shape and had time, so no worries. If neither of those things were true. It would’ve been tough. Better communication would help.Enterprise Rent-A-Car

Cons:
It was cold in Minnesota and when I turned the heat on the windows would cloud up. I had to continuously turn on the rear and front window heaters which would then shut off the heat. But it was alright, I did not freeze but it could have been a little more comfortable. I would rent from them again.2.0 Poor

Our rental was supposed to be $460 for 12 days but I was charged $610. Enterprise told me they couldn’t find my booking and had to make a new one even though I had the confirmation number. When I called about the extra $150 I was transferred around and around no one was able to help. I will definitely be using a different rental company next time.2.0 Poor

I booked a car using Kayak supposedly for MSP but when I got to the airport, I was that the car was for an off-airport location some 15 minutes away by taxi...and that I would return the car to the same location...they ended up renting me a car at 2.5x the price I reserved...never again...Kayak or Enterprise9.2 Wonderful

For this occasion, it worked excellent for us. I picked the vehicle up and was delighted with it's performance and gas mileage. It's got the power to easily maneuver thru traffic and the comfort was great. (Keep in mind I was traveling with two guys who are easily 6'3" in height and all then of our baggage and suitcases .... Yeah, if it worked for us it ca work for you!)Cons:
I picked this vehicle up from the airport at Terminal 2 in Mpls. I found the signage to get to the rental office difficult. Better signage would help a ton!! I think the problem is most customers are air travelers and if you are simply a local patron you do not get the signage direction that you would from inside the terminal. BTW: When returning a vehicle ... Holy Guacamole is that easy ... signage brings you right to the spot! More signage needs to direct you from outside of the car rental pickup!! The car was clean inside and had been washed on the outside. Inside the car rental, the procedure followed protocol and progressed relatively quickly. There was no hard sell on the need for their insurance. I especially liked that I could pick my own car within the prescribed row of automobiles.Cons:
I presented the small scratches and tiny pits on the car that took me 30 minutes to inspect and catalog. The check-out representative said, "Oh, don't worry about those" as she walked around the car in 30 seconds. I demanded that my findings be documented on the contract. She did so at my insistence. She was not rude at all. Still, I know that if it is not written down, there is no legal credibility to "my word" when established corroboration is needed.10.0 Wonderful
