Location, close to he beach. By car close to papagayo beaches. Old furniture, water with no pressure, one day the water was cut, no shower possible... Beds are really old and very unconfortable. Hard to sleep on those beds. It ruined the holidays
Entertainment was good in general and very good for children Although most guests seemed to like dinner we did not like the food at the buffet as we like healthier and fresh food
location and garden area
H10 Bahia Blanca Rock's rooms are set in very nice gardens full of mature trees and plants all kept bin immaculate order. Rooms very clean. The rooms, although very clean, could be improved with modernisation and updating of the cooking facilities.
The hotel staff was very friendly. When I booked it it said there was a fitness center at the hotel which was an important feature - it did not. You could use a fitness center of a sister hotel that was a bus/car ride away - not acceptable. The kitchen, which was advertised as basic, was very old (the entire apt actually smelled antique) and less than basic, without enough adequate cooking utensils. It would've also really helped to at least have dishwasher liquid, a sponge, oil and salt to get started without needing to purchase everything immediately.
outdoor cleanliness, good snack bar alongside the pool area swimming pool could be warmer
the staff were excellent, entertainment very good and food also very good The room was terrible, the first thing that greeted us was a cockroach there was also dead bugs all over the walls but without doubt the lack of air-conditioning in a place like Lanzarote especially in August with temperatures reaching the middle 40's was unforgivable and caused us serious problems overnight
The rooms are indeed simple, but we required only simple accomodations with beds, a functional shower and a bit of lounge space. This is certainly not a luxury hotel, but it fits the bill if you want to save a bit of money.
Everything, all staff were friendly & helpful and left you to choose what to join in with or not.
Helpful reception staff, great position, very relaxing. It would have been useful to have a hairdryer and wineglasses in the room.
The hotel was in an excellent position, overlooking the marina, and of an interesting design, appropriate to its surroundings. The buffet food was wonderful, the rooms were comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would go there again. The volcano!
Great location, spacious room, amzaing views from most of the rooms, lovely restaurants in the area. The staff were unhelpful when we asked if there was a possibility of a late check out and were unwilling to check if they had any other rooms available.
the hotel its self is lovely and the surrounding marina. I8 usually stay here once a month The service was terrible this trip. Terrible receptionists and also bar staff. Incompetent and slow. More like 3 star service not what one expects at a 5 star hotel. I will not stay here again because of this.
Very good room in a great location. Food was good at the breakfast buffet. Staff were excellent and very helpful and friendly. Thought the hotel was very spread out. There was not a central meeting area such as a comfortable lounge. The weather was not that good so a lounge would have been used.there were a small number of guests in the hotel at this time and it felt empty and lacked atmosphere.
The Royal service The fabricate maintenance needs to be improved in some areas.
I think the coffee and tea in the room should be complimentary and replaced daily
It was a very comfortable hotel with a number of bars available for drinks and snacks all day, they had live music most evenings. nothing I can think of.
Quiet location, but easy to get to centre of Playa Blanca. Bikes easily available right at hotel.
nothing staff food verry faraway from the town
Food was exccellent Bathrooms were outdated. Poor shower facilities.
We liked the area of Playa Blanca very much, The common areas of the hotel were nicely kept and appealing. The rooms were in need of rennovation, AC, lamps and safe all broken. No patio furniture on terrace, bed uncomfortable and walls thin. The food was average at best.
Food, staff, facilities Poor maintenance
The pool facilities are excellent Remotenesss of hotel. No information given about H10 club, which I would have joined,I learnt about it at the airport going home from a fellow guest. The food was not varied enough and not always hot.The staff seemed to concentrate on serving all inclusive guests at the expense of the half board guests which was extremely irritating
The staff in general were hard working and helpful. Patricia the reception manager in particular was very helpful. We did not like the very noisy restaurant where we had to eat in the evening with everyone from all inclusive and we were half board. Our original room was long, thin and sparse and the balcony was half size, set back from others with a wall to one side and a palm tree in front, making it very dark with next to no view. We upgraded to a better room and still had to pay even though we are h10 members. Charging for the use of the safe already in the room seemed excessive. Who are we securing our valuables from anyway? When full the hotel is extremely noisy.
Good facilities. Cold coffee at breakfast. Poor pots which do not hold heat.
The buffet food was excellent, variety, quality and quanity. I was upgraded to a suite as my booked room was not ready. The air-con unit on the roof above my bathroom was very noisy - sounded like someone slamming a door when it cut in and out every 20 mins 24hts a day! 4 complaints never succeeded in getting it fixed. I had sleep with ear-plugs for 7 nights.
The all inclusive was good value The buffet meals were not good, not hot,and a poor selection
food was good Pool was out of action and could not use due to work being carried out had we known before hand we would have gone elsewhere spoilt holiday
The location, the pool, other facilities like table tennis, pool The rooms (eve having booked superior ones) were a little scruffy
Very comfortable room. Excellent facilities. Friendly, helpful staff. Great buffet breakfasts and dinners. Just a short stroll to village of Playa Blanca. Inland location meant uninspiring view from room.
The good european standard services
The food was excellent, plentiful and varied Comfortably furnished in a good location. Most tastes catered for. Room badly situated at rear over kitchen, noise and smell. Pool closed and under renovation .Disappointed at room allocation to first time user as hotel half full.
The hotel is in a very good location in Playa Blanca a short walk to the beaches, shops, restaurants etc. It is very safe for taking children, the pools are great, they have a 2 fantastic play areas one enclosed for really small children the other for older children, the evening entertainment for them is great too, the adults is ok. The food is average but their is a wide choice, but you are so close to other eateries it's not really a problem. Majority of the staff very friendly & helpful if you have a problem. Very noisy at night, the rooms need updating as the hotel is very old now, if your lucky enough to get a pool view room these are great if not you might be overlooking the septic tank, staff will usually try to move you if possible though.
Whilst the majority of staff were very pleasant and helpful there was Particularly rude barman at the pool bar who clearly thought he could decide when it was time to close the bar and to ignore customers suggesting they try the main bar "as it is bigger". Not the level of customer service you would expect in a hotel like this. Perhaps the management need to sort this out?
The location of the hotel was excellent - very near to promenade, shops, bars, restaurants & also beach. Staff were all without exception very friendly & helpful. Refurbished room very nice. Good selection of food in restaurant. Noisy during the day due to refurbishment being carried out - could not sit out on balcony without hearing drills, etc. although accept that this work has to be done some time. Although refurbished room was lovely there was no other storage space apart from within the wardrobe (ie no drawers or shelves). Lift out of service two days including the day we left so had to carry cases downstairs. Had to pay for towels/mattresses every day. Carpets in the corridors were very stained & nearly all the public seating areas especially in the bar had stained fabric & could have done with new covers. Although we have stayed in H10 hotels before (in Tenerife), we felt that this hotel did not come up to the H10 standard & was more like a good 3 star.
Excellent design of the central areas and comfortable bedroom. Food choice was wide and usually interesting. Liked the champagne at breakfast! No heated pool
We found the hotel to be very acceptable, prior to arriving at the hotel we emailed asking them for a refurbished room with a sea view if possible.....their replay was that they would try to accomodate us if possible with regards to our request.....We actualy got what we requested. The facilities were excellant, service was excellant and the food was pretty good as well....... Very cold swimming pool.....but its still only January...On a seperate issue, and this is not the hotels fault....there was a lot of noise from the the entertaiment complex across the road and down the street a bit from the hotel which carried on into the early ours. I think that the local authorities need to be aware of this as it will most definatly lead to further complaints about the resort.
The buffet food was nice, but nothing special. The hotel is very very tired and the general maintenance is very poor. Peeling swimming pool, smelly rooms, leaky roofs. Staff in the restaurant are generally grumpy. There is no visible management in charge - and this is the problem. The hotel is understaffed. There is no table service either in the bar. This is NOT a luxury hotel, please don't waste your money on this hotel when its so obviously 3 star,
simply excellent, perfect in HB accommodation, very wide choice of meal at buffet
The choice and quality of the food was first class. Location perfect for walking to Papagyo beaches. A nice quiet area of Playa Blanca with no building works around. Poor gym facilities, unless you join the organised fitness classes.
Really good staff, confortable, clean, good food, really good location Should trust more in their clients and let the remotecontrol in the room. They ask a deposit of 10 euros to give the remotecontrol, but we always forgot to ask and it was really annoying. The towels are really worn out.
The variety of food at breakfast was excellent. The main areas were always kept clean. Staff were bilingual. The rooms were not cleaned often until the afternoon.
Location, swimming pool,bar/terrace The quality of the food was good but there was almost no variation of the buffet dishes.
Quiet hotel at night. Near the promenade to playa blanca. Good buffets. Many germans. The ugly fishtank in the lobby!!
It is a realy nice hotel,we enjoyed it. The water in the pool was very cold,my wife is pregnant and she was not able to swim there at all.
very good hotel; friendly multi lingual staff; very quiet location; extended buffet for both breakfast and dinner
The hotel was everything the adverts and description said it was, also the staff could not have been more helpful. The food was varied and generally to a very good standard and the dress code in the restaurant was well upheld. I particularly liked the way the pool attendant (who we nicknamed the "Towel Snatcher") patrolled the pool area removing any towels which were reserving sun loungers. If I had been allocated one of the third floor rooms looking onto the hotel perimeter wall, I would have been extremely unhappy as the only view from these rooms is a 3 metre high stone wall situated 2 metres from your terrace. My room was on the fourth floor directly above the unfortunate third floor occupants and it was obvious that these people were very displeased.
Location is wonderful. You can walk along the ocean on a walkway that takes you into the Rubicon Marina which has some nice shops and restaurants. Buffets were wonderful and they had a large selections. Staff is great and pretty much all speak numerous languages. Resort states that it's on a beach, not true. It's in a great location and has great views of the ocean however you need to drive or take the resort shuttle to a beach. Also gym facilities are very poor, treadmills need to be replaced, and limited exercise equipment.
the activities, the all inclusive package was excellent remotness but ok overall
Cleanliness, friendliness and helpfullness of staff, their excellent self service food. Queues for drinks in the bars at night
We had very nice room in block A - it had absolute fantastic view. The hotel is very close to the ocean though a bit far away from Playa Blanca town. It's easy to reach Papagayo beaches. There are 4 bars in the hotel so you always have a choice where to have a drink. The hotel is so big that you can always find a place to relax. The restaurant was overcrowded. No wifi in rooms. The lady in Oriental restaurant was not very friendly.
Everything it is ok.The hotel has everithing you need for a pleasant holiday.Food it is ok. the swimming pool (and maybe something else thing) needs absolute a restyling becouse a lot of squares are broken.it is not nice to see it and it is dangerouse
quality food, close to the sea, out of the way with lovely pramenarde walks.
big comfortable rooms, 5 swimming pools, qualtity/quantity of the food coctails, wine, unfriendly staff bar, noisy restaurant
The swimming pools, the wide variety of food and some bars had premium whiskey as standard. My room needed re-furbished as it was tired and outdated!
An excellent hotel througout. All inclusive value great. Food great. Would like to see more outdoor bars open by night. Maybe a childrens dining area.
The all inclusive is great and the view we had from the room as well. Even though we had a partial ocean view, we think we had the best view from the hotel (over the coast, ocean, Playa Blanca City and sunset every evening). Almost the entire hotel staff speaks English and pretty helpful when asked. The water in the pools was extremely cold.
you want a quiet base to explore the island or a family holiday next to plenty of swimming pools then this is a good choice. It is a bit far from the beach and town (15 minutes walk).
very pleasant well run hotel no place to eat at lunchtime on the complex other than in the Hotel restaurant
Comfortable apartment with plenty of room. On site facilities were excellent for young families. Distance from beach.
Nice hotel. Bit of a walk from the beach.
The complex was spacious and the grounds and properties were immaculately maintained. The bar (The Village Inn) was not great. One night we were served our drinks in plastic and paper cups. It seemed out of character with the rest of the complex.
excellent location, right on the promenade, beautiful restaurants in the nearby marina, especially Afrodite & el Mano, Dorado beach nearby (5 minutes), friendly staff, pool area very clean and comfortable. ants everywhere in the apartments ( we changed apartments during our stay for a better view). no night time bar
The staff and location Construction work began in September was still going on in November. Badly organised and executed. The main plus of the Hotel, location, was spoilt.
The pool area was well set out and nice for sunbathing The ground floor apartment we were allocated smelled of damp and had a depressing view of a wall and fence. Certainly not the 4 * we expected.
Lovely position near the marina. We requested a sea view and were given one. The pool bar was poor, rude staff and unpleasant to sit in. No bar in the evenings
quiet and relaxed well maintained and clean with ease of finding sun loungers around the pool we seemed to run out of hot water fairly quickly
excellent location in a lovely marina settng first room was looking out onto main road with a casino/amusement facing view. we requested change and was given a pool view without any hesitation.
the hotel is set in a beautiful location next to the marina with its exclusive shops and resteurants, and overlooking the sea.
Excellent location, very peaceful and right on the sea. Restaurants and beaches are very close (about 10 min walk to Playa Blanca town) Noisy maintenance work early in the morning.
Position of the hotel ideal as have the restaurants of the marina or Playa Blanca to choose from. Small complex in comparison to some, was a peaceful place to be.
The location away from the township of Playa Blanca along with the closeness to the Marina and restaurants The pool bar was not a very popular venue for guests as I suspect the prices charged were a little on the high side when compared to what was available outside the hotel complex.Perhaps a local survey would be advantageous. It was far cheaper to visit the local supermarket for drinks than to purchase from the pool bar.
Quiet area, close to all restaurants. directly on the water and walking path.
The pool area was very nice The rooms could do with updating and the baby cots could do with a good clean.
lovely location just yards from the sea. Rooms a bit tired, kitchens in particular could do with updating.
Cheap and everything we needed.
Nice, basic no fuss accommodation. Not perfect, but priced accordingly and everything worked! The ´bungalow´ was much bigger than expected. Staff were very nice, friendly with the kids and helpful when needed. Maids did an excellent job of cleaning/tidying the rooms. Nice pool area, there is a small kids playground as well (again not new/massive, but well maintained). There IS some guest parking, and loads of safe street parking outside reception. We were really pleased and enjoyed our stay a lot. Recommended.
peace and quite. good price for the standard. very big place with older clients mostly. the smell outside! when water distributors turns on smell of water is really... intoxicating:) also internet is working very slow. It's impossible to do almost anything, not mention wifi availibility should be as default for this kind of pensionate.
Very simple room, but you have all you need for a relaxing holiday. Very friendly and helpful staff. If you like walking is OK, otherwise I would recommend to rent a bike or a car.
hotel up for sale could not get breakfast as advertised very few staff . had to pay for kettles irons washing facilities
friendly staff; nice area; peace and quiet; well tended the rooms are a bit simple; partly a bit shabby; it smells as if it had been wet; it was cold in the night in December; we had to rent a radiator for 11 euros per week
not so close to the center (10-15 mins), but the hotel is located in the front of the only beach of the city, which is very nice if you have a front sea room (to pay apart), which is very rare in lanzarote. In this case you will have the room on the main road, but seems not so loud. Very nice hotel staff, and good breakfast. Rooms are clean.
great if having AI, nice pool, rooms quite large, good equipped Quite far to city centre or to a beach
The grounds are nice, the bungalows are spacey, the pool is large. This is a tired old hotel in need of a facelift. We opted for all inclusive but didnt use it a lot - the food is just OK. Evening entertainment a joke. All inclusive costs borne by the hotel are obviously limited by not having enough bar staff on (I complained twice but nothing changed). Beds are not very comfortable. Hired a bungalow but loads of crockery missing and no kettle, just a coffee maker. Hot water took ages to come on in the morning, and then it was luke warm, evening no problem. Hotel set a long walk from Playa Blanca.
Great for a relaxing holiday
loved the location, near some fantastic restaurants, relaxing however short distance from nite life felt the staff were over worked and seemed a bit discontented. would not have liked to have an all inclusive package.
Great staff, good facilities and close to the second beach of playa blanca this place would be great for a romantic holiday. Great price too. Unfortunately, many people had problems with cleaningness and our room amongst others had a stuffed toilet resulting in overflaw of sewage into the bath tub. Very unpleasant stuff that was not taken care until after we left and hence could not use toilet or shower the whole day. A great example of how you turn a 4- into a 2-star by cutting corners in construction.
After booking,I was worried about the standard of the hotel due to a few poor reviews -- however we were very happy with our stay there and would have no hesitation in recommending it. We had dinner in the hotel a couple of times, and found it to be very good -- I feel the hotel shoud "market" the dinner more as the numbers there were quite small. You should have a "runner" at the reception to help with any problems which might occur.
Peace and quiet and pleasant environment very basic for a so-called 4 star aparthotel
the rubimar was near the marina and it was lovely to go for walks down by the boats
The swimming pools were great, one of them slightly heated. The bungalow was spacious and the resort very quiet. The staff at the reception were very helpful too. Recommended if you are looking for self-catered accomodation, with a swimming pool that can be used. The food was not that great; there wasn't filtered tap water available for dinner so you had to pay for all drinks (we had half board); no soap or shower gel provided in the rooms.
really lovely staff, very comfortable appartments, lots of green around, excellent sporting facilities - outside swimming pool, indoor pool, sauna, gym, tennis, ping pong ... - all this for a bargain price. I should mention that there is an excellent running track in the desert which goes to the inland of the island with stunning mountain views towards sunset and sunrise. The actual town itself and the beach with a view of another island only about 30km away is very picturesque. Possibly my best holiday ever, and I've been to over 40 countries so farl.
We stayed on a budget week. Staff were very good .Room was excelent and was serviced each day. We did not eat in hotel as we were on a packet for following week so we went local resturents for meals. Beds were hard
The area around the polos and the waterslides and the games room and reasonable cost of drinks. The 10 minute trail to the seafront.
From word go we were impressed, the foyer is just gorgeous, the layout of the swimming pools really lovely and heated! it only took a day to get settled and feel right at home, the little bungalow felt very private even though we were surrounded by lots of other houses We had no problem in putting down a deposit for a remote control which makes sense and most of the rentable items did too, but there was no kettle and you had to rent that. That's a basic amenity that I feel should either be in the bungalow or made available even with just a deposit required. Also the access road is in poor condition in comparison to the great road system around the island, any car passing over it creates a fierce rumbling which is hard to block out
the first two nights before everyone from the sunpark were sent for what ever reasons but there were a lot . the distance toa bite of nitelife
This hotel is very nice and very easy to get around. You get a lot for a nice price.
Everything was perfect: very calm place, friendly and always available staff, good food, very interesting excursions it's a little bit distance from the ocean and the beach
Hotel is quite close to ocean, it's close to beach too. Bungalows are in good standard, however without AC. City centre is not so far either. I think with this money, you cant find anything better in Playa Blanca :) You must pay extra for every single things... For iron-ok. For dvd player-ok. But for TV remote? And biggest one-for a kattle? Did you see any time kitchen without a kattle? It was silly... Some time wind brings bad smells from another big hotel :( Reception desk staff have got v.good german-but english even worse than my one :D However, they was friendly and helpfull.
