Pros: My friend and I were coming into Port Townsend to go whale watching. The Old Consulate Inn was the most affordable and did not have a minimum night stay. We shared the bedroom with the twin beds for a night. The beds were very comfortable and the room was very spacious. Aside from the courthouse bell, it was very quiet. The building is a beautiful Victorian home built around 1889. The owners have done a good job with upkeep and decor. They also accommodated our early departure the next morning. We requested a to-go breakfast. The regular seated breakfast is around 9am. In our boxed breakfast we were surprised to see all the food. There was a lot of it! And all so good! There were 2 different muffins, 2 different fruit cups, slices ham, and 3 kinds of cheese. It was very delightful!! They were also flexible with dietary restrictions. I would stay there again.
