Pros: The staff very accommodating and friendly. There were nice tables outside the front of the hotel to watch the world go by and the staff kept the bar open for us late in the evening. They found extra rooms for us when our party of 6 all decided that wanted single rooms as opposed to sharing as per our booking. The rooms were clean and functional. There was secure parking for our motorbikes and they organised paying off our parking tickets for us! A great place for bikers.
Cons: The hotel was across the road from the station, so it got a little noisy from the station announcements.

3.3 Mediocre
Cons: Very noisy rooms (ac cannot be stopped) Facilities not operational Too expensive for what you get
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was well equipped and comfortable and the hotel was in the town close to the river and amenities
9.0 Excellent
Pros: We only stayed for 1 night. We have chosen this accommodation because it was close to the Drachenberg Castle. The cleanliness was flawless, the bed pretty comfortable and the space relaxed and spacious. The receptionist that made the check-out was friendly.
Cons: The receptionist from the check-in couldnt find our reservation and didn't understand my name, even when I showed him on my phone the confirmation and my name written. He gave an "I don't really care" attitude and kept searching in the computer. Suddenly as an act of magic he found the reservation in a document that he had in the desk. Probably in the "arrive guest" pile that all hotels must have. Didn't felt friendly. The water in the shower was ramble from warm to random jats of cold. Really unpleasant. The air conditioner was not working properly.
6.0 Good
Pros: We only stayed at this hotel because my kids wanted to use the swimming pool but it was out of order. The hotel did not communicate this during the booking process.
Cons: swimming pool out of order and hotel did not communicate in advance. Hotel staff at reception and buffet were just pleasant.

7.5 Good
Pros: The old details in the building and the interior from the restaurant where nice
Cons: The bathroom was looking cheap and had no style. Also the hotel was in 2 buildings. So when you wanted to go to the resection you had to go outside to the other building. And that is the reason that I thought that it was to expensive for what you get.

Steigenberger Grandhotel Petersberg - Königswinter - Building

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the views are unbeatable. The food (restaurant and breakfast) was great.
Cons: That hotel is so big. Finding the restaurant was kind of a challenge.
4.0 Okay
Cons: A lot. Bit of a strange hotel this. Reminded me of the hotel in The Shining. No one to meet you when you pull up in the car. Reception not clearly indicated (which door you had to go). Floors are strangely labeled. There where other guests but the hotel felt empty and cold. Room had only small windows so felt caved in. Also there was a rumbling noise from I guess the HVAC system throughout the night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The location is beautiful with gorgeous views to the River Rhein, Bonn and Königswinter. The historical building is very well designed and offer many different areas and rooms for guests to enjoy their stay including an outdoor biergarten. The recently renovated spa, swimming pool and gym areas are definitely a highlight. The bedroom was clean, spacious, and really comfortable. The breakfast was amazing! The restaurant, bistro and cafe also offer affordable options for guests even in such prime property.
Cons: When you book a five star hotel you do not expect to find dirty and torn bathrobes in your room. We could have just ignored that but to access the spa and swimming pool area you need to wear one. When new bathrobes were requested I was asked to go downstairs to the reception as I had to show the bathrobes and justify why I needed clean and not damaged ones. After leaving the bathrobes in the reception a staff member came to the room and asked to see the ones we had. I explained to him that I left the bathrobes at the reception. I thought that was unnecessary as they could have just believed in me but I also thought "well... maybe thats the German way of handling things". My surprise was to find out that they could not offer us two bathrobes for men because each room must have one bathrobe for a man and one bathrobe for a woman. Wi-fi does not work well in the spa, gym and swimming pool areas. The Hotel does not offer a shuttle service from / to the closest train station (Königswinter). If you do not have a car then the only way to go up and down the hill is by taxi or walking (3.2 km - 50 minutes walk). Please consider that while planning your trip. With some more training staff could easily become more friendly and more service oriented. English is still a challenge for many members of staff even in such international environment.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is beautiful spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Baby crib was good. We were giving a room upgrade which gave us more space with the baby which was very nice and thoughtful.
Cons: There is nothing for children to do at this hotel. No play area or activity options. Even though the staff were very friendly with our toddler.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was so nice ! Perfect ! We loved the guy who transported the laggauges to our room. No Problem with parking at all ( maybe the price for the ones who complain about it but I dont find it too expensive for the srevice !! ) I was with wife and baby for a business trip and everything was more than perfect ! The sights the breakfast the rooms! We felt like king and queen as if it was our home ! Thank you so much we will be back so soon !
Cons: Everything was awesome !!!
7.0 Good
Pros: Location location location
Cons: The quality (of the food, drinks, breakfast) was not as you would expect in a hotel from this level. The "muzak" during breakfast was horrifying.

Cons: Crazy road to hotel

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here for 3 nights and it was a very welcome place to be. The room was bigger than we had thought (more like a little apartment) and was comfortable and very clean. Plenty of storage space and the bathroom was sparkling!! Located in a small town, near a railway track we were surprised how quiet it was. Breakfasts were lovely and staff we met were extremely helpful and welcoming, helping us identify places to eat or shops to buy food / snacks etc. On our first evening we had amazing pizzas at a little place near the river, not far from the big spa pool in the town. The eaterie we went too looked a little dull from the outside but go on in and you'll find a friendly outside eating space with views of the river. We really enjoyed the individual teapots at breakfast with their little nightlight warmers :)
Cons: There wasn't anything we didn't like.
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast was fine and the room was clean but at the end of the day this is a three star hotel with no pretensions to be anything other than that. It's fine but not great.
Cons: The room was warm but with the window open you could hear trains passing at regular intervals through the night. Our "garden view" room looked over what was effectively a car park.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very pleasant hotel, with friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Even though we didn’t speak German, they where able to help us sort our day trips out.
