Cons: Do you remember grandma's toilet, where several courtesy flushes were required to safely ensure things didn't get clogged....well...welcome back :) Built 1847, and restored in 1988 as an Inn, so quirky plumbing can be expected :)

Son moved 2nd night w/children since air conditioning broke. Fortunately he and his family were moved into a MUCH nicer room..it’s be nice to understand what rooms your getting.. Also, sheets were kinda creepy..not the quality I expected at all

Cons: We were originally placed in a ground floor room (after requesting a room on a higher floor), which was dark and had a window into the hallway corridor. It felt as if you were in a dungeon. After our first night (of a two night stay) we discovered two bedbugs in our bed. We immediately notified the front desk which kindly agreed to change our room. Although the second room we were placed in was much nicer and on the top floor of the hotel, our stay was less than comfortable given the fact that it was difficult to sleep when imagining bedbugs crawling in bed with you. The hotel staff did not offer to compensate us in anyway for our troubles other than a gift mug. Although the hotel was booked for the weekend and we had heard good things about it, I would strongly recommended finding somewhere else to stay if visiting Richmond.

Pros: The carriage house rooms that are disconnected from main Inn is where I stayed and it was lovely. The room was clean, the bathroom newly remodeled, the Queen bed soft and inviting. I had to leave before the included breakfast but I liked everything I saw.
Cons: The area was near downtown but still a bit sketchy. I started walking to find a cafe or restaurant but then thought better of and turned around. The parking was valet for an extra $12 or street parking but if you parked on the street (if you found any) you would get towed if you didn't move by 7am or 8am.

Pros: Loved the location and the style of the hotel (very modern with pops of color). The room was beautiful and had everything we could ask for. The location is the best in Richmond.
Cons: Our room was only surface clean when we arrived. There were dishes in the dishwasher that were still dirty, and the dishes in the cabinet didn't look too clean either. The floor felt like it hadn't been vacuumed since the previous residents' stay, and there was a suspicious stain on the comforter. The sheets, bathroom, and kitchen surfaces did appear to be clean.

Pros: The view was awesome from the 15th floor. We loved all the windows! The proximity to restaurants and bars was great, and the Starbucks on the first floor was so nice to have close by! The aesthetic of the rooms was nice and modern.

I wasn’t surprised they didn’t have some of them, but none? Additionally, the person at the front desk who checked us in was short and frustrating. He seemed either annoyed or rude by nature. I haven't seen that in all my travels before. The other towels in the room were fine but that one was a negative surprise. The room itself was only okay and quite outdated. The parking garage was very tight, hard on two-way traffic, crowded so you had to go up and up to find a spot, and expensive.

Cons: Did a similar review for Expedia right after I had checked in. In my review I suggested updating some of the rooms and hotel features. My review got sent to the hotel staff immediately and they responded promptly. When we arrived downstairs the next morning for checkout the receptionist was gossiping with the bellmen about our review and speaking negatively about us. When she noticed we had arrived to the desk she confronted us about our review and said she had received it. She tried to make us feel uncomfortable and sorry for leaving them a poor review. Will not be returning to this hotel for this reason alone.

So much to say.... Overall, this hotel was presented as a luxury stay that was not. We paid almost $1,000 for two nights which created a level of expectations that were not met. The hotel had an overall clean look to it and the staff were very nice. However, if you are looking for 4 or 5 star experience, this is not the place to stay. It has a Holiday Inn or low-rated Hilton feel to it. The rooms were aged and unattended to from a design perspective with old and dusty chairs. They felt dark and stuffy. The windows did not open which made it all worse and you could smell the bacon cooking in the kitchen! ugh.. The shower head did not work, the towels were not soft and were over-used for way too long, there were no health and hygiene products made available in the bathroom, and cleaning service was not provided nor offered during our two day stay. oh...and we were disappointed that the rooftop was not open at all even though it was really beautiful outside. Anyways...just my two cents. We love Richmond...and next time we go, we will stay at a chain hotel like Westin!

The hotel has been open for a couple of months but is still working lots of kinks, such as rooftop bar and pool not open, disorganized front desk, elevators not working properly, coffee shop lacking essentials. They even only have one wine opener for the entire place. These inconveniences were almost comical, but I hope the hotel will have it's act together soon.

Pros: Beautiful location with great access to nearby venues. New construction so everything was well designed and up-to-date. Friendly staff!
Cons: The cleaning ruined it for me. The bathroom was poorly cleaned before I got there and during my stay. Multiple issues with this prompted me to write a review. I'm hoping they correct this issue moving forward.

Cons: This place was horrible I wouldn’t advise anyone to stay here unless u have no other choice The rub was filthy the rooms smelled horrible makes u want to throw up when u first enter the building the staff is very rude and the TVs don’t even work nor did majority of the lights in the room

Cons: The vibe was not good, only one power outlet worked, the furniture was old and dated, the bed sheets had cigarette burns in them, there was a bug in the room, room did not seem clean, no elevators.
