Cons: It’s not totally their fault, but parking was a bare.

Cons: The walls were a bit thin, you could hear every conversation in the hallway and every door that closed in the hall.

Cons: Valley parking expensive

Cons: Had to pay for parking every time I came & went! It wasn't what I was told I woud get!!!!

Cons: There is nothing the hotel could have done, but there were loud muscle cars displaying their ridiculousness until about 2am. If you want a quieter room recommend asking for an interior room.

Cons: Parking is too expensive. Housekeeping was a little too anxious to clean the room.

Cons: Lighting in the room was not bright enough; at least one mirror should be available in the room, outside of the bathroom; headboard was not attached firmly so it banged against the wall with any movement(had to wedge a towel between it and the wall).

Cons: In the AM the maid knocked on my door a little early.

Cons: Though standard for hotels to take credit card #, they actually ran $50 on it; when I called, because I had no charges, said "it would fall off in a few days."

Cons: Did a similar review for Expedia right after I had checked in. In my review I suggested updating some of the rooms and hotel features. My review got sent to the hotel staff immediately and they responded promptly. When we arrived downstairs the next morning for checkout the receptionist was gossiping with the bellmen about our review and speaking negatively about us. When she noticed we had arrived to the desk she confronted us about our review and said she had received it. She tried to make us feel uncomfortable and sorry for leaving them a poor review. Will not be returning to this hotel for this reason alone.

Cons: -Menu was not as expanded as I thought it would be -Reserved room w/ balcony. To our major disappointment, our balcony had a 5 1/2 foot wall that was not noted in advertisement - major let down.

Cons: I was disappointed when they confirmed my request for a small refrigerator via text message but once I got there couldn't find it in my room. I called the front text who notified me that there are no rooms with refrigerators but they could refrigerate things for me for 31$/day. NO thanks because I was also surprised by the 21$/day for parking.

Cons: Broken coffee maker. No biggie, Starbucks is across the street.

Cons: The night desk wasn't as helpful when we were looking for parking areas that weren't connected with the hotel or were lower in price than the valet. She gave is directions to the valet garage but my fiance (in the car at the time) couldn't find it based on her directions. We eventually decided to give up and use the $21 valet because it was late at night and we had already driven a long way from home, making us very cranky and tired.

Cons: Plumbing made noise during the night.

Cons: I didn't like the fact that we were stuck in a room in the back facing a wall. I will probably go back to the Omni or try the Renaissance Hotel next time in Richmond. At least there you're not looking at brick walls. I parked on the street couple blocks up due to over priced valet......it simply isn't needed with the parking garages around.

Cons: Breakfast area was unattended. Trash piled up in can. However, I would stay again and recommend to others.

Cons: The area was near downtown but still a bit sketchy. I started walking to find a cafe or restaurant but then thought better of and turned around. The parking was valet for an extra $12 or street parking but if you parked on the street (if you found any) you would get towed if you didn't move by 7am or 8am.

Cons: We were originally placed in a ground floor room (after requesting a room on a higher floor), which was dark and had a window into the hallway corridor. It felt as if you were in a dungeon. After our first night (of a two night stay) we discovered two bedbugs in our bed. We immediately notified the front desk which kindly agreed to change our room. Although the second room we were placed in was much nicer and on the top floor of the hotel, our stay was less than comfortable given the fact that it was difficult to sleep when imagining bedbugs crawling in bed with you. The hotel staff did not offer to compensate us in anyway for our troubles other than a gift mug. Although the hotel was booked for the weekend and we had heard good things about it, I would strongly recommended finding somewhere else to stay if visiting Richmond.

Cons: Do you remember grandma's toilet, where several courtesy flushes were required to safely ensure things didn't get clogged....well...welcome back :) Built 1847, and restored in 1988 as an Inn, so quirky plumbing can be expected :)

Cons: Not a downside really, but no easy way to carry luggage to room. Uneven walks and paths for us that like our rolling luggage. You get what expect from a hotel built in the 1800's. Neat place. Rooms are dingy.

Cons: No real amenities at the hotel. The wow factor was not therefore no need to return or nor to recommend. You get more bang for your buck at the hotels in Richmond on the West End which are near to many other things as well as good restaurants.

Cons: Price, and location specific to event I was attending. Very inflexible and relatively early check out time 11am only negative but well offset by price and location.

Cons: The only downside was parking, which was basically impossible to find without paying for valet parking.

Cons: Reception area not what expected for over $200 a night. Lobby nice, not so much reception area. No cafe. Rooms varied greatly. One big nice room, 2 okay, not so nice rooms. Son moved 2nd night w/children since air conditioning broke. Fortunately he and his family were moved into a MUCH nicer room..it’s be nice to understand what rooms your getting.. Also, sheets were kinda creepy..not the quality I expected at all

Cons: The keys are huge and the locking mechanisms look dated. Key card might not fit the theme exactly, but I would have felt better with those on my door.

Cons: Even with Platinum status, I did not get a high floor as requested. The floor lobby was noisy past midnight every night. A couple was given keys to a room occupied by another couple on my floor - that created drama in the middle of the night. There was cockroach in my bathroom. The HVAC made noise when running.

Cons: The towel in the shower was dirty - as in, big black streak across it as if it were used while working on your car, and the streak was on the front-facing side of the towel on the rack. I haven't seen that in all my travels before. The other towels in the room were fine but that one was a negative surprise. The room itself was only okay and quite outdated. The parking garage was very tight, hard on two-way traffic, crowded so you had to go up and up to find a spot, and expensive.

Cons: Ice machines not working.

Cons: The ice machine on our floor didn't work, but it did on others.

Cons: The room wasn’t as clean as you would expect. Some kind of yuck was splattered up the wall and on the baseboard. You could tell the drinking glasses in the bathroom were probably wiped down rather than replaced with clean ones.

Cons: I reached out to the front desk for a couple things like band aids, a beer bottle opener, hdmi cord, and they didn’t have any of those maybe 5 items I asked about. I wasn’t surprised they didn’t have some of them, but none? Additionally, the person at the front desk who checked us in was short and frustrating. He seemed either annoyed or rude by nature. Other staff were great.

Cons: Pool wasn't open, it was easy to get lost and enter the construction areas of the hotel. We couldn't get into teatime which was frustrating
