Pros: The best breakfast I have had at a hotel that comes with a room. Very friendly staff and a clean room. All thee of our rooms were great. Cons: Nothing
5.0 Okay
Pros: I liked that there was a bedroom separate from the kitchen/living room area. The beds were comfortable.
Cons: It claimed to have a fully equipped kitchen which was not true - it is a sparcly equipped kitchen. The couch was uncomfortable as was the side chair. We were given 1 fork 2 spoons and dirty dishes, the couch was full of crumbs, the extra pillows were covered in someone else’s hair. The toaster had some kind of burnt residue all over it. The one time my husband ate at the community dinner he got sick that night. The breakfast on two of the days had no protein other than eggs. The extra blankets we were given were very rough looking and they looked 10 years old. When we asked for more supplies it took calling several times of minutes of ringing for someone to answer. Came to find out it was because the front desk person is responsible for running around delivering things to the rooms at night and while she is gone no one was manning the front desk. When we spoke to the manager the following day he kept saying “if you want to leave we understand” I didn’t want to leave I wanted someone to fix the issues. He did comp us one night.

Pros: Hotel appeared to be new or recently renovated.
Cons: Asked for top floor and extra pillows. Received notice that request would be accommodated. At arrival was told no, put on first floor with one pillow. Pros: Everything. Breakfast was amazing!! Hot fresh, eggs, ham, bacon, oatmeal, waffles, cold cereal, pastries, coffee all day and night ling. Free soup from 4-6 until gone. Iced lemon water in lobby. Warm chocolate chip cookies in afternoon. Shuttle to Mayo's, free and free parking. 5 star hotel!!!!
Cons: Staff was awesome!! Very helpful, courteous, happy. There wasn't anything I didn't like
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice and new. Breakfast was more than just the usual carb-fest. I had some nice french toast and pretty darn good sausages.
Cons: They do have a shuttle to the Mayo Clinic that makes quite a few stops. If you're coming in from the airport you should probably rent a car.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good breakfast. I liked the bed but my husband did not. Indoor pool area was nice. Overall it was a nice place to stay. Convenient and free shuttle to the Mayo clinic.
Cons: The shower head was broken, but they fixed it as soon as we let them know. The hot tub jets didn't work.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean - great staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was awesome. Love the variety.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location was convenient and continental breakfast was excellent. Room was clean and modern. Nice to have laundry on-site, workout room, pool, etc. Felt like good value for the money (compared to other hotel options in the area).
Cons: After checking in, we attempted to unlock our door and the key wouldn't work. Walked back to the front desk and told the clerk. She asked "Did you swipe the card upside down?" I said "Um, no?" and she said "We had a bunch of cards printed upside down by mistake so you need to swipe it upside down". I get mistakes happen, but I would also assume the clerk would let everyone know that when checking in vs. needing to make an extra trip back to the front desk. I know it's minor, but we were tired after a long day on the road and it didn't give a good first impression.

Pros: Wonderful and welcoming staff who made our stay perfect. Coming back from the Mayo Clinic I was exhausted and in pain and they graciously allowed us a later check out time. That really helped us. Staff is to be commended as they were outstanding! Thanks!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Bed was excellent, bathroom shower very good, cleaning staff was the best I've ever encountered in a hotel, front desk staff very helpful, menu and bistro bar were progressive as far as serving healthy choices for meals and snacks, servers were friendly. Shuttle service was excellent, driver was very accommodating.
Cons: Exercise room was small, machines seemed dated and clunky, charging my credit card for the room several times, then taking them off was weird, didn't know what was going on there, hotel is showing its age despite the great job the cleaning and maintenance staff are doing.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was great. Would have liked to see biscuits and gravy other than so many egg options or along with.
Cons: The night employee could have been more friendly. It seemed like buying water from your pantry was an inconvience to him.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are always friendly & accommodating.
Cons: I've been staying here once a week for many weeks now and my biggest complaint is that they like to shut down breakfast 30 minutes before the advertised time. I ended up going out after this stay because virtually nothing was available.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent...lots of options. Everything was very clean. Would definitely stay there again.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast , suite was fair sized. Everything seemed clean in room.
Cons: The laundry area was dirty and had several broken machines.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice big rooms. Friendly staff. Parking with big trailer a plus. I forgot my watch and they called right away. My son went and got it. Great see
Cons: Need to have a microwave by the breakfast. Heating up the biscuits for gravy would be better. But we like our breakfast hot. Room temp was all over the place in this room. Cold to warm when air conditioning went on and off. Never had this problem before in different rooms when we stayed there
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Please focus on the shower It was gross by tile. And bathroom floor around edges. We stay offten and can make or break if we stayagain.........
7.1 Good
Cons: Housekeeping didn’t come in for days.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was great and so handy.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and extremely friendly.
Cons: The breakfast was the only disappointment of the stay. The hard boiled eggs were overcooked and rubbery. The egg "omelet" already had cheese inside so it wasn't a good low calorie option. Regular scrambled eggs would have been a better choice. The lighter brew coffee was still way too strong. It wasn't horrible but it will factor into my hotel choice in the future.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Meals provided were great as well as staff at that time
Cons: The outdoor common area seems more like a smoke room being a non smoker was hard to use that beautiful area being as smells like smoke and buds all over the place maybe a separate area for smoking
8.0 Excellent
Cons: The bed frame was cracked. I informed the staff on our departure and they promised to fix it. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the hotel! Was our first experience at this brand. Will be our preference in the future!

8.8 Excellent
Pros: An amazing place for a child's birthday party
Cons: It seems they were short-staffed and while we were there we had an interaction with the police we walked out of room to see police every where in the hotel , do to other guests at the hotel kind of was a little scary but everything was taken care of in a pretty well mannered
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Kids loved the pool, and the breakfast was good. They also had a pack and play for us to use! I liked we could cook our own meals in the kitchen in the room.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice Room
Cons: No social dinner
7.5 Good
Pros: Water park was nice. My 2 year old loves it.
Cons: Room and wasn't the cleanest but it wasn't terrible. Stayed here because of the water park and shuttle for Hospital. There was some confusion in the pick up schedule. I should have asked more questions I guess because the paper schedule was a little confusing.
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: We booked the room because of the pools.
Cons: Didn’t know you allowed large dogs. The room next to me had three large dogs that that barked constantly. Every time they went out to smoke the dogs barked and woke us up. There was also a crack in the door that let the hallway light shine in the room all night. Poorly constructed. Then cars parked outside the window where we slept and smoked cigarettes and listened to music all morning hours. We did not get any sleep. Then when we checked out she didn’t ask how was our stay. I would have said terrible.
7.5 Good
Pros: My husband was very pleased.
Cons: Had trouble connecting to wired internet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was one of the greatest experiences my family and I have had. The staff was very helpful and always had a smile on their faces which made it that much better. Very very clean! We will definitely be coming back and I will definitely recommend this place for anyone with pets and or children!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: For many years, we have been staying here once a month to attend a board meeting in Rochester. Cindy, Lynne, are terrific as are all the staff - kitchen, housekeeping, cleaning... are are always friendly, polite, accommodating, and professional. Beds are very comfortable and rooms very clean. On rare occasions, we can hear footfalls from the floor above us; it seems to be from small kids running around and doesn’t last long. We never hear the footsteps of people simply walking.
Cons: Minor thing - There is no hand soap in the kitchen, though there is a small bottle of dish soap. If, like me (foodborne disease epidemiologist), you wash your hands frequently when preparing food, it’s a little inconvenient. On the other hand, it’s a ridiculously easy fix just to ask for an extra bar of soap or use one of the two bars provided for bath and shower.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was a great size super comfy, hotel lobby felt very welcoming, the breakfast buffet had a huge variety, barely heard the neighbors, very clean room
Cons: The elevator was pretty delayed when we tried to use it. We took stairs instead a couple times.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: My preference is non-pet room
7.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Not the most comfortable mattress
7.0 Good
Pros: It was clean
Cons: No

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a very spacious suite, and the breakfast was good. The front desk staff was outstanding!

Cons: Toilet seat needs fixed.
7.1 Good
Pros: Pleasant people. Coffee or tea available which is key! Suite large and comfy.
Cons: No amenities like a gym or pool. The surrounding area is dismal. Breakfast awful and industrial/unhealthy. Everything is on the cheap. Not a real cup in sight. Kitchenette but not a spoon or cup or knife or plate. The details tell the story.

Pros: Stayed here before, very convenient location for on and off major roadways. Well maintained. Breakfast was enjoyable.
Cons: Wanted to make coffee in room coffee maker. Had metal coffee pot that was not see through. When I picked up the pot to fill with clean water to make my coffee it felt heavy. Yes it was a pot of old coffee from a previous guest. It was extremely moldy which means it to be growing for over 4-5 days. I will stay again at this location because I have experienced good service here in past. Was just disappointing.

Pros: Stayed for business. Asked for an early check in after a long overnight drive. They accommodated us with a smile. It’s why we choose this property. Staff is A+. Spotlessly clean. 10+ all around.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and the front desk employees were super friendly! Very quiet too!
Cons: The beds were slight lumpy!!
6.7 Good
Cons: I was charged 50 cents more than the total price quaranteed by booking.com. While this is not significant in any way, you should know that it did not agree to the total and should be investigated.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, roomy, comfortable rooms, Microwave and Fridge in room without having to request,
Cons: Would have liked to be closer to health facilities, earlier shuttle service but used Taxi service instead

Pros: Location to St Marys Campus/Mayo. Staff was super helpful
Cons: There weren't windows in the rooms but not a huge deal
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful location for our needs!
Cons: Nothing
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice rooms and the onsite parking and free shuttle to Mayo was great!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The man that checked us in was very kind and helpful. The room was clean and the shuttle to Mayo was great.
Cons: No windows and the walls are a bit thin. Even with people talking quietly in the hall/room you could hear them.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: My room was attractive and cozy. I liked the decor very much.
Cons: I stayed a couple nights at another hotel in town where they had a small market. They had several different juices and water to choose from, meals to heat up in the microwave, and many different snacks to choose from. It would have been nice to have that here instead of a vending machine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The front desk recognized me from staying there the week before. I was not the one who checked in and only had one brief interaction so that was very impressive. I think it was Adam. Very friendly and helpful.
Cons: There is nothing I didn't like.
7.1 Good
Pros: Location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very personable. You even called to tell me that I had left my pillow behind and you were so kind to mail it to me. I really appreciated it. Thank you. Also, the location was great since we were able to walk across the street to the hospital for my procedure.
Cons: The parking is tight for a bigger vehicle.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Everyone was helpful and friendly.
Cons: They had just painted - the smell was very strong.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had to stay another night after checking out the first day. I requested a quiet room, I was really tired. The room she initially assigned me too had a couple next door, they were a bit loud. The girl at the counter (sorry I don’t know her name) did everything she could to meet my request. She went above and beyond!

5.0 Okay
Pros: The bed and TV were fine. Very high priced. The restroom was small. the door on the restroom was too close to the floor. I say this because the floor rug on the floor keeps getting caught when opening and closing the door.
Cons: One of the desk patrons said check out time was Noon. And I said the website said it was 3:00 PM. And she said "no no it's noon". Then I said, "You need to change that then." She laughed and I left. other then that, I'd give it a 5 out of 10.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Room was excellent and loved having a pool side room.
Cons: There was never anyone at the front desk. Waited 5 minutes and finally someone came out from the office in the back. Stopped several times for directions to a party I was attending at the Kahler (a sister property owned by Marriot across the street). No one ever appeared at the desk.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I didn't realize how close the hotel is to the Mayo Clinic. This was a huge plus!
Cons: Didn't like that you carry pepsi products instead of Coke products.
6.7 Good
Pros: The restaurant was wonderful. Linda was our server. She was the best part of our stay.
Cons: The air conditioning was very noisy. The staff at the front desk were not friendly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Walking distance to where we needed to go
Cons: Nothing
5.0 Okay
Pros: They staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: They staff was very friendly, but the carpet had something sticky on it. The carpet was nasty in the room. The room was expensive then 16 dollars a day additional for parking? So not doing well enough that you have to nickel and dime your guest with rooms not in the best shape.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good
Cons: No comment
5.4 Okay
Pros: Patient at Mayo - location was great.
Cons: The nightly cost ranged from $179 to $299 per night!!!
4.2 Okay
Pros: Bar resturant
Cons: Room and elevators. Paper thin walls and slow elevator.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location and for the most part has always been very clean.
Cons: crumbs on our floor and a pop can under the night stand. Not as clean as in the past.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was very comfortable and clean. It was very close to the Mayo Clinic for my appointment.
Cons: The person at the counter wasn't informative at all. She acted like I was a nuisance when I showed up to check in. I had to ask about parking, where the elevators were, etc. She told me the parking was a block and a half away.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Convenience of nearby restaurants
Cons: Expensive parking in tunnel, not an available psrking lot and there is a $16 fee to park overnight. You have to walk a long way from parking lot through tunnel and take 2 elevators just to get to Marriott hotel rooms. charge for EVERYTHING - rude staf

8.6 Excellent (335 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at Aspen Suites places you in the heart of Rochester, just a 4-minute walk from Saint Marys Hospital and within a 5-minute drive of Mayo Clinic. Featured amenities include complimentary wired Internet access, a 24-hour business center, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was exactly what I needed for my time there. Having a full kitchen (minus an oven) was a blessing that saved me from 3 days of eating fast food. The only thing missing was a strainer for cooking pasta, but I made the steamer part of the pot set work for that task.
Cons: The bottom 2 drawers of the dresser were wedged closed, so I wasn't able to use them. The parking garage was difficult to maneuver in, even with a small/mid sized car so do NOT try and park a truck or van in there.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice, clean suite. Nicely designed.
Cons: Apparently there was a 3 year old in suite above us, he ran around for literally 4 hours. Thunk thunk thunk.....called front desk, they called the room and it finally stopped.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The room was spacious and pleasing, the location of the hotel was nice, and the private indoor parking they had for guests.
Cons: In our room the air conditioning was very loud when it ran, very little sleep we got because of the noise. In the pool area when using the hot tub there wasn't a sign showing how to turn on the hot tub. The button was below another one that was the emergency stop. The chlorine was strong that it hurt our eyes.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome, honest people! My daughter left behind her very costly wireless headphones in our room. They could have been kept as an added bonus for cleaning the room, but housekeeping found them, turned them into the desk, and they were returned! Thank you!
7.1 Good
Pros: The room was perfect for a family of 5. Both beds were comfortable, the black out curtains worked well and the room temperature control was the best I've ever experienced. It was convenient to have a full sized fridge and kitchenette in the room. Sound control was ok, I could hear kids running in the hallways but no one was loud past 10pm. Great selection of foods for continental breakfast included, eggs, fruit, cereal, waffles, toast, bagels, a breakfast meat, and a variety of drinks. Housekeeping staff were helpful and kind.
Cons: Something in our fridge was leaking inside and causing condensation to accumulate on the glass drawers at the bottom. The pull out sofa bed was horrible and was equivalent to sleeping on the floor. The pool area had a horrible chlorine odor. The fumes were so bad that just being in the area and not using the pool or hot tub made my eyes and skin burn. I could only tolerate up to 40 minutes at a time of being in the area. There are limited luggage trolleys available which can make packing up at check out time tricky. The continental breakfast items were being re stocked by 1 single employee. She was very kind and helpful, but very much overloaded with the quantity of guests accessing the free breakfast. She was unable to keep items stocked while maintaining the nearby trash bins and wiping the tables in the breakfast area. The hotel needs to hire another employee for the breakfast time.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Not too far from Mayo Clinic. Walkable. Friendly staff and kitchenette is handy although I didn’t need to use it. Would be great for an extended stay. Shuttles to Mayo and Walmart
6.0 Good
Pros: Room was great.
Cons: Front desk clerk said there was no public parking nearby when there was in the same block. We were there for a girls weekend and arrived from different directions so had 3 vehicles. Hotel has parking for 1 car per room. Room for 6 but only 4 cups, etc.
7.0 Good
Pros: Convenience was the biggest factor for us and Aspen Suites exceeded that. The breakfast was good.
Cons: We were a late check in, after 10. We gained entry easily enough but the poor guy working the desk alone could not catch a break with the phones ringing on 2 ends of the desk at the same time. Chaos!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was great at explaining the facility options and the Neighborhood surrounding the motel.
Cons: Nothing, stay was to short.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was okay. Breakfast did not offer a lot of variety.
Cons: the room we had as small and crowed for a family of 6.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast and dinner was available. We never made it to either the town was very nice and we enjoyed walking too much.
Cons: The water pressure in the shower was minimal. For the land of a thousand lakes I should have been able to get wet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Arrived at rush hour and turning across traffic was extremely difficult
Cons: Very long walk for lady using a cane from registration to our room.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness, friendliness, very accommodating.
Cons: No
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Improving your parking would be great. If you were to add parallel parking to the rear of the hotel then the larger trucks wouldn't take away so many parking spaces.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was wholesome and adequate.. Scrambled eggs (reconstituted?), sausages, bacon, biscuits and gravy, make your own waffles, coffee, juice, muffins, yogurt. Nothing unexpected or exciting.

7.1 Good
Pros: This location was an extremely short walk to Mayo Clinic. The staff was great. The bar / restaurant by the lobby had the worst service I’ve experienced in a very long time and I am a frequent traveler. The property was clean. It was just outdated. I would stay there again if I am going to Mayo.
Cons: My sink was really slow to drain. The place was seriously old and the bathroom was really outdated. The beds were not very good.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nice staff!
Cons: Room was tiny and outdated. Bathroom tiny and outdated.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: It was a convenient location. I was there for a class reunion and the banquet was held in the hotel
Cons: The rooms were very small and cramped. Had not ween well cleaned - dust on rug under dresser so it was not vacuumed for a long time. Bathroom floor needed a good scrubbing. There were carpet stains. This is supposed to be a "grand" hotel??? Bathroom had one bar of soap, one tube of shampoo and one conditioner. Nothing else! In a nice hotel, you expect more. Price was same or higher as other hotels in the area, but the value for the money was very low. Every person at the reunion who stayed there agreed with me. Food in restaurant and at banquet was terrible! For breakfast I ordered 2 eggs over easy and toast and coffee. Coffee was so bitter we could not drink it. Toast was burned and cold. Had not been buttered. Eggs - white was runny. At the evening banquet, rolls were strong dill and not very good. Salad greens were tough and chewey. Not enough dressing. We did not have enough rolls for our table and they told us they did not have more in the kitchen. Potatoes were very salty and nothing special. Meat VERY fatty! I know they are undergoing renovations. No excuse for any of this. Oh, there were 2 plugs in the room and we had to unplug lights to charge our phones. This was more like a $50 room than the "Grand Koehler"!
7.9 Good
Pros: Very convenient to Mayo Clinic
Cons: Old and small bathroom, lumpy bed with super soft (flat) pillows. However, they are in the process of a major remodel project.
7.9 Good
Pros: Close to Mayo Clinic! Lobby and restaurants are excellent.
Cons: The rooms are old and smell musty. They were doing remodeling on most floors and when I returned from Mayo, I just wanted to rest after a whirlwind of tests but construction noise made it impossible!
8.0 Excellent

Cons: bathroom was small--but it is an old hotel
