The place looked ok, but it was loud. There were several noises all night and in the morning. The beds were small and not very comfortable.
Close to the sports arena
$10.00 extra for parking
Room was fine, but certainly a bit run down and out of date.
Check-in was terrible. Staff is unfriendly and incompetent. The staff boosts reviews by writing their own!!! No one in the line of 15 people waiting to check-in was satisfied. And this place isn't anywhere as nice as the pictures make it look. BEWARE.
The location was just what we needed to go to the beach and Seaworld. We enjoyed the hot tub the first night of our stay.
The sink and full wall length mirror was right next to the bed which was odd and inconvenient. We had to have maintanence come to fix our hot water. There were three of us to shower and the hot water ran out during the first shower. The second night of our stay we were very much looking forward to the hot tub after a full (cold) day at seaworld. Unfortunately, the water was luke warm at best.
It was convenient to a lot of restaurants.
If the room opens to the outside and you can see the parking lot, this is a motel. Labeling as a hotel is misleading. It was a good value for a hotel, but average for a motel.
We found bedbugs in the room. It was a total turn-off.
Room was clean and close to the people i was visiting.
Room was not ready when I arrived and I experienced a setback in time and overall value of my stay.
Our family stayed here with 3 young children. It was clean, accommodating and the kids loved the pool! Beds were comfortable, room service was great and always left the room tidy and clean. It was a short 5 min drive to Sea World & Mission Beach. Also a grocery store & Starbucks across the street, and Chick Fil A, In N Out and lots of family friendly restaurants very close. Definitely would recommend, especially while visiting Sea World!
Ok, if you can get a good price? Close to many attractions, clean but older rooms Elevators, fridge, microwave, sleeper couch, 2 tv s.
The air conditioning turns off if you leave the room so you will always come back to a hot room. The bedroom takes a long time to cool down so we could sleep. For 3 days I could not connect to the internet.
The only thing positive about our stay was the location.
Facility was run down and overpriced. The linens were dingy and worn. The staff was inattentive across the board. There was always a long line at the front counter. Calls from room went unanswered for entendres periods of time, almost 2 hours at one point. The pool never had enough towels. Worst of all my reservation was fouled up and I was overcharged, which remains unresolved 7 days after checking out.
Comfortable beds Clean sheets Convenient location Quiet Fridge in the room
We ended up having a 2 bed when I originally ask for 1 bed Room was a tight space Bathroom sink was separated from the toilet and bath tub Our fire alarm woke us up early in the morning
Clean comfortable room
Guest services cleaned at good timing. The location was great.
There was false advertisement about the room having HBO Channels. The internet did not work on both days of our stay, and the beds were not comfortable at all.
The wait to check in was very long, and my information was all wrong. It's in a bad area, the hotel has all exterior doors for the rooms like its a 1970s vintage Days Inn, and there were bugs in our room. We picked this because it was a Wyndham, and were extremely disappointed.
Loved the juniour suite, we were able to but our kids to bed and sit on the couch and watch TV. The set up was great.
It smelled really musty and we found balls of hair near the trim work. Found a wad of hair floating in the pool too. Like the other reviews said, the carpet can turn your feet black. Eeewwww.
the carpet was so nasty that it made our feet black from walking on in barefoot in the room. The air conditioning didn't work very well. One day the maids didn't replace our towels and two days didn't give us any coffee. Wasn't a very good experience.
It's a great location, close to Sea World, and Downtown, and the Zoo, and the staff is also very nice and attentive. They're also located next to a wonderful 24 hour restaurant (Du-par's) which served incredible, homemade food, and jams and desserts! There were a large variety of other restaurants also very close, as well as stores such as Target for those items that you forget to bring from home.
Location was perfect for seeing this section of San Diego Staff was very friendly Immediate response from front desk for required services
Check in desk clerk was friendly
Unkept, old worn furniture appliances and fixtures with everything smelled of mildew and cigarettes; teenagers drinking and smoking in the hotel hallways and parking lot which was allowed by the hotel security staff
Check in was very smooth and quick; it's a large hotel/motel but the desk takes great pains to ensure you KNOW exactly where you are and where you can park! Upon entering the room: clean; separate sleeping area; microwave and refer; hot coffee for AM; FREE bottled water; extra blankets and pillow; 'fancy' fold of washcloth in bathroom ... hey! it's the little things that count! If you're going to the Valley View Arena or the surrounding areas: BEST VALUE bar none! Red lobster, Olive Garden, "best BBQ in San Diego just across the street" and an on-site eating place that 'ROCKS for breakfast!' I think it's called Du-Pars ... you look it upl! OVERALL: 10 stars out of 5 for the money; Want the HILTON AND $200 PLUS A NIGHT? ... go for it; If you're the mainstream like me ... grab this!
Location/proximity to both Mission/Pacific Beach area & downtown.
The property is dated, poorly kept, and dumpy. Room smelled like cigarettes. The walk way & stair well to my 3rd floor room was dirty and sticky. The pillows were more like sofa cushions. The lighting is dim and depressing. Overall it was a very awful experience.
Very noisy until 11:00 PM. Our kids stayed in another room while we were there as well. They are a younger couple with a child and they ran out of hot water the first day they were there and on the last day. We would never stay at this hotel again. Adults drinking alcohol in the corridors until very late at night. This is a Family hotel however just did not mix with us overall.
We enjoyed how close the hotel is to everything and the restaurants in the area are very good and reasonably priced. Close to ocean and other great places to visit as well very accessable from the freeways.
Clean and reasonable rate.
Tiny pillows. Hard bed. No checkout through the TV. It was a motel not a hotel. They had someone testing fire alarms at 7:00 in the morning on a Saturday. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
Poor service, understaffed, have us the wrong type of room at first. The AC barely worked we left on max from the moment we checked in till we checked out and the room was barely cold Long line at check in and checkout with only 1 person at the front desk
Very close to Sea World, short drive to downtown and zoo. Very clean, well taken care of facilities. Restaurant on the property makes it easy to have a nice breakfast. Room service also provided by the same restaurant. Very close to dining and shopping. Rooms were also very quiet.
Pool area is a little small for such a sprawling hotel space with as many rooms as they have.
Everyone was attentive, the restaurant had good service and good food. The hotel is near everything which made my stay good. My kids enjoyed the pool
Everything was good
It is a dump...nothing good to say...and I am not picky..
Location was fine.
Service was lousy, I had my reservation cancelled with no explanation whatsoever; the whole place smell was unpleasant.
The hotel was 5 and 10 minutes away from San Diego's main attractions like the zoo, Seaworld and mission bay beach. It also was close to all the fast food chains and family restaurant's, target store and Ralphs just in case you need or forgot supplies.
The grounds keeping of the hotel need attention! The walk ways were stained with calcium from the A/C discharge and smelled like urine from the guests pets not really having a area to do there business, Trash all over the place . The hotel is not located in the most appealing neighborhood but not in the worst either? The plumbing did go out on the morning of check out which the did offer to move me to another room to shower etc.
convenient freeway access, close to beaches
beds not comfortable, very tight parking, outdated furnishings, a little noisy
Hotel was not clean. Was loud and staff were not helpful. I will never stay here again and would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.
