Pros: 5 adults, 1 child.
Even though the hotel was about 40 yrs old, it was wonderful to stay here. The staff was nice and professional. Rooms were very comfortable. The amenities were great. The ambience was great, made me feel welcomed. They even added extra bed to a 2-bed deluxe room for us... I don't remember asking for one. Thank you Peninsula.
Cons: Shower area in the bathroom made me feel cramp and enclosed.
Pros: Hotel lobby and restaurant interior is impeccable. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive to my needs.
Cons: Location is not quite convenient for shopping. Hotel is located across the shopping centers, but crossing the busy streets of Manila. is not for the faint of heart. I ended up writing a cab. The taxi drivers were fine with the short distance.
Pros: 1. Location in bustling Makati
2. Festive and Grand Lobby
3. Breakfast Buffet was top notch
4. Responsive and Pleasent Service
Cons: 1. Room was old, small and not super comfortable
2. Weak Wi-fi in rooms
3. Expensive room service, restaurants and laundry options
Pros: The Peninsula is the best hotel in Manilia as far as I'm concerned
Pros: The lobby is very nice. Nice room and room service, it's up to a 5 star standard.
Cons: Why the staff cannot get me a taxi when I need to go to airport ? Asked me to use Uber and which I did. However, I am from United States and Philippines not accepting my form of payment and not able to request one. The staff suggest we just stand there and wait until a taxi come by.. end up I followed up myself after 20 minutes of wait; going back to concierge and ask them to grab me a local Uber... waited for another 20 minutes to catch one...cannot believed peninsula is so behind at this area !!
Pros: The staff address you by name and give very personal attention. Hotel is gorgeous and well located.
Pros: wonderful classic luxury hotel but with a cut above in professionalism and warmth of staff. lovely! highly recommended--
Pros: Breakfast was lovely. The variety of food available was good for all meals. The gym is excellent. Room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and there was a nightlight, a nice touch all too often neglected. It's a very nice hotel and I would go back! But....
Cons: WIFI access ends the moment you check out. Immediately. Which means that even if you check out at 9am and could have checked out at noon, no wifi for you as of 9am. Hopefully you don't have to call a cab or write a memo. Perhaps you were thinking of a leisurely breakfast in the lobby after checking out while reading the paper online. Nope. In 2015, when you pretty much assume that internet access is available for a reasonable amount of time, that's a pretty strong negative.
The staff was far too eager to serve and frankly, a bit overbearing. The first day, I had two members of staff burst into my room while I was in the bathroom (pretty bad luck, I suppose), one without knocking, the other with just a cursory knock and a half second wait. I learned to lock and chain the door and put on the DND light right away. Once I forgot the DND light but locked the door... Ooops! So while I was taking a nap, I got someone knocking at the door for 2 minutes till I got up so they could give me bottles of water. Eating in one of the restaurants requires that you keep a tight grip on your plate or glass if you are having a leisurely meal... a waiter is likely to swoop down and take it away before you can say a word, if they feel you are done, whether at breakfast, lunch, or dinner. While eating, one waiter after another will come over to ensue that you are enjoying your meal, interrupting a quiet evening, over and over again. The service has good intentions, but really needs to back off a bit.
Pros: Lobby, orchestra and staff.
This family-friendly Makati hotel is located in the business district, within a 5-minute walk of Ayala Museum and Ayala Center. Glorietta Mall and Philippines Stock Exchange are also within 10 minutes.
Cons: Quality of food & no coffee supply in the room
Placing you within a 15-minute drive of SM Mall of Asia and Ayala Center, Makati Diamond Residences offers an airport shuttle (available 24 hours) for PHP 2300 per vehicle. Guests can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant, or indulge in deep-tissue massages, body wraps, or body scrubs. There are 2 bars/lounges and an indoor pool, and apartments at this luxurious property get the details right with rainfall showerheads and bathrobes.
Cons: The view from rm 4216 was bad -- the side of the next building. The hallway was dim and the light switch didn't work. The bathroom floor had pee stains around the toilet. The speakers in the bathroom were loud and could not be modulated. The room temperature was cold and The AC controls were not intuitive. It's like they just dump you into the room and left you to figure out how to work things out. I thought of asking for another room but it was too much of a bother for a one night stay.
Placing you 2.9 mi (4.6 km) from Smart Araneta Coliseum and 5 mi (8.1 km) from Ayala Center, Marco Polo Ortigas Manila offers an airport shuttle (available 24 hours) for PHP 2130 per vehicle. Guests can visit the spa to be pampered with massages, body scrubs, or facials, and Cucina, one of 5 restaurants, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. An indoor pool and a bar/lounge are other highlights, and rooms at this luxurious hotel offer up nice touches like iPod docks and rainfall showerheads.
Pros: I booked two rooms for my friends and I. After the the unfortunate incident occurred with the unpleasant poker player setting fires inside resorts world my friends decided to stay in another hotel. Marriott was very accommodating with allowing me to use the credit to upgrade my room and not lose the credit I had already paid for. I took advantage of the hotel's services and everything was great. Room service, concierge service, restaurants, bellboys, etc. 99% of our stay was above and beyond what we expected.
Cons: The only small caveat was that they lost one of my g/f pieces of laundry but it was no big deal. It was a pair of sports shorts that were very old, so not much loss for us
Pros: The room is nice and cold.
Shuttle to airport is perfect!
Cons: Elevator card does not work always. I will need to call the security to fix and insert card in the elevator.
Reception desk not attentive, disorganized
Staff does not project good quality customer service.

Pros: We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, in two separate stays. It was a reasonable distance from the airport and it was a nice hotel. The location was great - the neighborhood was very safe. It was walking distance from quite a few restaurants, coffeeshops, a nice bar, the Glorietta and Greenbelt malls, and the Saturday Salcedo Market. The staff was very nice, the rooms were updated and clean. Overall, a really nice stay. If I visit Manila again, I will definitely consider this hotel.
When we were there the restaurant/bar had not yet opened for dinner/evening hours. Thus, we didn't get a chance to taste the food. However, if it's good, it would be a good addition to our stay. It would be nice to just walk downstairs and grab a drink.
Cons: The laundry service was quite expensive. If we weren't completely out of clean clothes, we would not have used it. However, it was efficient and they didn't end up charging us for the "express service" additional fee.
The Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences has spacious one hundred and thirty six (136) rooms composed of Studios and Suites, featuring minimalist designs yet colorful and artsy in nature. Room features include free WiFi, a kitchenette with microwave, mini-bar, study area and balcony. Hotel amenities are available which includes the gym, a spa, 24-hour front desk assistance, scheduled shuttle service, meeting rooms and an art gallery.
Pros: The room at the tower good. Breakfast has lots of choices and good service too.
Cons: When i was online trying to select a room. From the website, the room grade i select was suppose to be the newly renovated rooms with rain shower, marble bathroom counter, tv in bathroom and etc...
But when i check in, i was assigned to a older room at the main building without all as described. I call the loddy and they told me that my room grade was not the newly renovated rooms, it is available at the next higher grade room. I was not too happy about this as i feel that i was misleaded to book at this hotel because of the renovation. But not so.
I talk to the manager and she allow me to change room, but keep reminding me that this is only a courtesy upgrade, next time please book the higher grade room.
My point is that the hotel are giving miskeading into on website to customers and the staff should be aware of the room class and provide the correct room to customer.
Pros: Breakfast buffet, pool, comfortable room, friendly staff, beautiful lobby and wonderful musicians, elegantly dressed staff
Cons: Attitude toward guests not up to European standards
The required deposit is unnecessary if a credit card is used to book room
Pros: Location. Near shopping malls and landmarks
Pros: Historic look, reflects Philippines culture
Cons: Breakfast buffet had good variety but quite salty
Pros: Stayed at Manila Hotel 35 years ago and it was luxurious and elegant then and it still is!
Breakfast buffet was more like a brunch! It was excellent, delicious but sinful !
Cons: The second time we were there it was very crowded but then considering it was a weekend, it's understandable !
Pros: A portal into old Manila with all the classic immunities one would need in any 5 star hotel.
Pros: Not much
Cons: The carpets are dirty and needs replacements. The lights are uneven. The old charm of the hotel has vanished. It looks old rather than historic. It looks tired and at time tacky.
Pros: Elegant hotel
Breakfast buffett had numerous selections
Very clean room had, no problem with hot water
Cons: None so far, I stay at Manila Hotel a few days per year on my vacation and business trips
Pros: Breakfast buffet was great. Many selections.
Pros: The buffet breakfast was really good. Ms. Cruz was very helpful.
Cons: When you booked online, you need to know how their rooms really look like. They place me in the worst rooms (which was on the side of the hotel building). I have been in Manila Hotel a lot of times and I was very upset when I entered the room (smelly, dusty, old) does not look like what I saw in their website. you can asked for the manager and have her (ms.mcruz) fixed the problem.
Pros: The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The bedding is excellent and the furnishings are all nice. The bathrooms are very nice too. Didn't have meals other than the breakfast buffet, which was the nicest I have ever had, in any hotel (previous stays U.S., Canada and Europe).
Had never been to the Philippines and wasn't sure what to expect in accommodations. Manila Hotel surpassed my expectations by a significant margin. Has a feel of true luxury.
Cons: Some of the surrounding areas seem like they could be a little unsafe. This is not a criticism of the hotel, which is over 100 years old and has probably seen much change in the city. The hotel takes safety and security of its guest very seriously. Just ask them if you have questions about the surrounding areas.
We did venture out for dinner and were careful. Keep most of your money in the hotel safe and don't be alone if possible.
Bottom line is I will still look to stay here when in Manila.
Pros: Lobby was fabulous. Breakfast was fantastic. Ambiance seems like a blast from the old manila
Cons: The check in counter was a bit slow in processing transactions. Bathtub draining does not work on our room. Single bed is a bit small and requires limited sleeping movement
Putting you in a great location within a 15-minute walk of Rizal Park and San Agustin Church, The Manila Hotel offers an airport shuttle (available 24 hours) for PHP 3750 per vehicle one way. Guests can visit the spa to be pampered with massages, facials, or body treatments, and Cafe Ilang-Ilang, one of 6 restaurants, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There's an outdoor pool and a poolside bar, and rooms at this luxurious hotel get the details right with deep soaking tubs and iPod docks.
Pros: Staff was very friendly. Rooms are nice and clean. My stay was very comfortable.
Pros: The location. The non managerial staff were very courteous and helpful.
Cons: The. Reservations made was not I wanted, I wanted two beds. They gave me a? Queen bed and a trundle bed
Pros: Friendly, courteous and helpful staff. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. If you're lucky, you get a room with a nice view of the bay like we did. Also, nice pool area and gym. The breakfast was wonderful! Diverse international food to satisfy all cravings. The view from the dining room was great. There's even a garden area should you prefer to dine al fresco. Convenient location. Relatively close to the airport and to many tourist sites. Only a block away from Robinsons mall.
Cons: Although the immediate area around the hotel seemed pretty safe, a little further afield and you get to see the nitty gritty of Manila. I still felt safe, but you have to be smart.
Pros: Hotel staff were very courteous, responsive and helpful, no hidden fees all upfront, amenities are excellent and location is very convenient. Breakfast was always sumptuous and lounge has breathtaking views. Simply a welcome retreat after office hours with really beautiful views of the city. Beds were always well prepared. Hotel offered free parking for one car (not valet). Room came with free papers daily.
Cons: Hotel's location is also in the red light district with lots of beggars and street urchins, street is a main thoroughfare and can be at times difficult for those who drive. Hotel is a bit old with carpets needing a complete overhaul or detailed steaming, beware of short shorts in the lounge; they will turned you away if you're Filipino. Hate to say it but feels like a bit of a whorehouse at times with local girls swarming a bit older foreign male. I could be wrong of course but you be the judge.
Pros: Awesome customer service!
Cons: Rooms were cold, no heaters

Pros: I loved the amenities, the buffet, the pool, and the extremely courteous staff.
Pros: I had a great overall experience.
Cons: The only thing I didnt like was hidden cost, they ask me to pay way to much for breakfast buffet which was suppose to be include with the room. Since I didnt go directly through the free breakfast buffet didnt count I had to pay

Pros: - Location...Near to Dr. Rizal Garden etc
- Staff: So abundant in fact they can cut down.
- Breakfast- Complimentary ...yet excellent with a mix of healthy aswell tasty item combinations...buffet style.
- Personally speaking I don't like local [Philippine cousin] Best Western is good alternative for me.
-Staff very courteous.
Cons: - Bathroom had inadequate shelving for all my needs, items
- Their dinner pricing was higher than surrounding eataries like McDonald, Wendy and other places.
- I am always looking for best value.. It fit my budget well.
Pros: Walking distance to Rizal Park, Ocean Park and Robinson Mall. Good breakfast buffet. Staff was super friendly and helpful.
Cons: They need to rethink the mattress. Upgrade to pillow top or memory foam. If you like it firm it's up your alley.
Pros: Rooms are modern, clean, and large.
Cons: Only one thing I would change to make the room perfect, a soft chair to relax in. Room is equipped with hard chairs like you would expect to see in a dining room.

Pros: Not luxurious but great value for the money. Spacious!
Cons: Parking availability
Manila Bay Serviced Apartments is just 4.5 mi (7.2 km) from the airport and offers a shuttle (available 24 hours) for PHP 600.00 per vehicle one way. Guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool, and freebies like WiFi, self parking, and wired Internet are added perks. A children's pool and a terrace are other highlights, and apartments offer up nice touches like rainfall showerheads and pillowtop beds with Egyptian cotton sheets.
Pros: Took me a bit to get my head around no phone or drinking water in the room but the App works great and is arguably more responsive than a typical front desk. Keeping in mind the price you are paying, it's fine.
Cons: Location is not that great if you are not into bars.
Pros: Great staff! and great Location!
Pros: It's cheap. It's clean. The internet worked during this visit. The rooms have safes in them. They are flexible on things such as check out times. The staff is pleasant and will try to help you.
Cons: Remember, it's cheap. These are very small rooms. There is no place to open up the luggage without laying it on the bed. There was a faint smell of bleach in the room. The A/C kept the room cool but the air always seemed kind of stuffy. The window could not be opened. It is back off the main roads so bring a detailed map as the taxi driver may not know where it is. Red Planet is now what last year was Tune hotel. They have a number of locations, hence, the map can come in very handy. My taxi driver swore the map was incorrect up until the time we arrived, right where the map said it was. The surrounding area is populated by many beggars so if you go out for a walk be ready for that. It is not in an affluent area of Makati.
Pros: good location; good facilities and internet
Cons: small room; no closet for clothes
At Red Planet Makati, Manila, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Ayala Center and Smart Araneta Coliseum. Guests looking for a bite to eat can check out the restaurant, and the bar/lounge is the perfect spot to grab a drink at the end of the day. Rooms offer plasma TVs and free WiFi.
Pros: Elevator..it easy to go up to the room...clean..free breakfast..the room and toilet clean..
Pros: Nice and peaceful
Cons: I told front desk to change blankets on the bed and they didn't change it, very disappointed on there service
Pros: The location.
Cons: I was the only one in the front desk - and the gentleman did not even ask me if I need anything. I had to ask him if he can help me to check-in - very unprofessional.
We checked in to room 726 - kept coughing and sneezing in the middle of the night due to the a/c filter was so filthy. Finally turned it off and the coughing and sneezing stopped. Went to frontdesk, and had maintenance check it out - I even took a picture of the filter. He kept insisting that it's clean even you can see how filthy it is with your naked eye. He won't admit that it's so dirty - I did not bother to argue.
I do not recommend this hotel at all!
Pros: The staff compensates for the poor faciliy.
Cons: The only up side in this hotel is the desire of their staff to make up for the poor hotel condition. I would rate their staff A.
However, the rooms have really disturbing issues.
1. Chairs and beds are worn out and the carpet have evidence of molds growing in them. The toilet pluming is old and often have the danger of clogging up.
2. The corridor carpets have evidence of molds growing in them as well.
3. The management of this hotel clearly must have serious capital issues as their hotel needs serious renovation ,not to mention, major cleaning up operation to make their hotel safe for guest.
4. This hotel will not pass under US standards and will most likely be shut down for health hazard conditions. Definitely not recommended for ASTHMATIC,COPD or people taking immuno suppressant drugs.
Pros: Proximity to embassy. Restaurant downstairs was good and room service was prompt. Location was less than 5 minutes to embassy and with traffic one hour from international airport.
Cons: Cleanliness, seemed tone lacking in general it's needing better upkeep and detailing. Near the road so you hear a bit of traffic at all hours. Walls are thin so if your a light sleeper you could be woke up from the knocking next door.
Cons: too long to check out other than that nice stay for the price also they charged too much money for transfer to airport
Pros: Courteous staff, clean room and facilities, trustworthy parking attendants, very reasonable prices, location close to U.S. Embassy, reasonable "hotel service car" prices to the airport (600 pesos).
Cons: Slow elevator service, tinted window in rooms is old and distorted, which ruins the view of the ocean front.
Pros: clean room, friendly staff, nearness to coffee shops and 7-11
Cons: drink prices in mini fridges, but most hotels charge that. 7-11 right around the corner open 24
Pros: Thank you vayama
Pros: I like the vicinity to the embassy
Cons: Everything was fine for the money
Standing proud and strong along the famous Roxas Boulevard is Bayview Park Hotel Manila. The hotel has 282 rooms and suites that provide utmost comfort for all types of travelers. All rooms have free WiFi access, air conditioning, cable TV, mini bar, and NDD/IDD phone. Cons: The hotel is on a busy street. The windows are not sound proved. A bit noisy from the traffic noise
Pros: I like the staffs, helpful and respectful. Pleasant and professional.
Mon, is his name . The one that cleans my room, he's done superb job cleaning. But everyone is to me is A + if I have to grade it. I stayed there for 24 days and everyone is nice from Room cleaners, to the front desk, gym, restaurant, concierge, doorman/woman, bell boys. I hope I didn't leave anyone out. All awesome, pleasant attitude.
Cons: The structure needs to be redone specially the bathroom.
Needs to take care of ants infestation.
Change in room carpet will help.
Pros: Will never stay again...I had a great time on my 1st visit and terrible on my last stay
Cons: Front desk is not very friendly and doesn't care about the customer
Pros: I enjoyed the location of the hotel, the staff was friendly.
Cons: The Internet was sketchy, I had to keep calling down for a password, sometimes every couple of minutes. More often than not the call to the hotel operator went unanswered.
Pros: Breakfast was always fun, many different selections available. The staff was excellent, always giving advice when asked.
Cons: No ATM on site and casino no longer in operation.
Pros: Staff was very helpful but the rooms were really old. Carpet was really old and the room has a very strong musty smell.
Cons: Staff was great!
Pros: Quality accommodation for the price./ Staff were excellent. Room was very good.
Cons: Hot water was not the best.
Pros: Very basic room. Everything above a simple bed and bath was extra - a lot extra. Showering in the morning was difficult simply because the water would go from very cold to scolding hot every few seconds. Not nice when you have a 1 year old with you.
Cons: I liked the initial price and how close it was to the airport.
Set at the crossroads of Roxas Boulevard and just minutes away from domestic and international airports, the Heritage Hotel Manila is a five-star deluxe Manila hotel.
Pros: The hotel was clean and nice. The air conditioning worked extremely well. The bed was soft and extremely comfortable.
Cons: The TV didn't work properly at first. There was sound but no picture. We called the front desk and it took just over 30 minutes for the guys to come fix it. By that time I had already found the problem and fixed it, and called the desk to cancel the repairs. But the guys still came to fix it 15 minutes later. This is extremely annoying at midnight when I'm about to go to bed with my wife. I want to find the owner of this place and go knock on his door at midnight for no reason.
Pros: Close to airport, staff were friendly but one day, i wanted to have our room serviced but I came back before the housekeeper get to our room and the tip was gone.
Cons: The guests by our room was very noisy. I don't mind if it's before 12am but they were partying until 3 to probably 4 in the morning. I couldn't get a good night rest.
Pros: renovate and paint around bathroom doors
Cons: Pool area was dirty and very dated
Pros: The whole hotel experience was great. Nice room, comfy bed and relaxing ambiance despite the busy streets of manila.
Cons: The pool & fitness area is not that huge to accomodate larger amount of guests. Pathway to the chapel is a bit dim & creepy at night.
Pros: Very lovely and good in understanding people
Cons: Some of the hotel floors were too old
Cons: When i got to the hotel at checking time....my room still was not ready. After they have me keys to the room...no one helped me to my room. When i get to the room...it was small....had ants...and the bathroom was still dirty...i checked out after finding a real 4 or 5 star hotel
Whether for business or leisure, Waterfront Pavilion Hotel & Casino Manila is the residence of choice of local and foreign travelers. This 4-star hotel and casino in Manila, Philippines blends deluxe amenities, state-of-the-art features, and remarkable service to bring about a stay unlike any other.
While recently renovated, the hotel has maintained the plush, welcoming ambience renowned throughout the years. A friendly staff ushers guests in, graciously attending to requests, whether for room service or travel assistance, or helping tourists unwind in the restaurants or casino on site. The homey rooms and suites are exquisitely designed, showcasing wooden fixtures and colored highlights, and complemented by essential conveniences for the guest’s utmost ease.
Cons: All though the room was clean and affordable I booked for 2 adults and 1 youth. Their was only 1 small bed. In a very large room. And if we wanted a second bedroom it was $20 more. If we want more pillows it was $10 more. If we want blanket 10 Nightly
Cherry Blossoms Hotel in Manila, Philippines offers 145 elegant yet affordable rooms, plus a slew of conveniences you haven't thought of asking. All rooms have refrigerator, air conditioning unit, cable TV, video-on-demand, mini-bar, piped-in music, hot and cold shower, national and direct distance dialing telephone system. Some of its facilities and services are restaurant, cafe, music lounge, daily supply of newspaper, free use of safety deposit box, 24-hour room service, currency exchange, laundry services, free WiFi and massage service.
Cons: Too hot in the room.. airconditioner not enough for the size of the room..
Pros: The staff was nice and the room was clean. Being an American I think of thick mattresses and boxsprings to provide comfort, and the platform bed, with a relatively thin mattress was deceivingly comfortable. Maybe it was just exhaustion, but as soon as my head hit the pillow I found the bed very comfortable and supportive. Whenever my room was cleaned the 2 bottles of water provided were replenished in the fridge. This was a nice touch. I only went to breakfast one morning and found it confusing with no direction given by the staff. The food was hot, but so was the room breakfast was served in. Working nights I didn't find a need for breakfast past my first arrival day so it wasn't an issue to me. All in all my trip was too short (60 hours on the ground in total) but I found the Malayan Plaza to be accommodating for my schedule and very comfortable when I did find time to sleep. I would highly suggest it to anyone looking for a good place to stay in the area.
Cons: Some additional comforts would have been nice - tissues (other than just toilet paper), washcloths, basic utensils in the kitchen. I was working eastern US hours (overnight) while I was there and it was frustrating to be put in a room that was right across the hall from the cleaning services. It was a touch noisy, but once I was asleep it didn't bother me. Given the international work force that travels to that area it would have been nice to have been placed in a room further from daily noise given my backwards sleep schedule, but as I said it wasn't an issue for me since I'm a very sound sleeper.
Placing you 3 mi (4.8 km) from Smart Araneta Coliseum and 4.4 mi (7.1 km) from Ayala Center, The Malayan Plaza offers an airport shuttle (available 24 hours) for PHP 1800 per vehicle. Guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool or grab a bite to eat at The Executive Lounge, which serves breakfast and lunch. A fitness center and a children's pool are offered, and apartments at this upscale property have conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
