Good hotel, terrible food
The location of the hotel is good for getting around
The walls are thin enough that we could hear our neighbours having sex, and hear exactly what they said to each other... The food was abismal, it was so bad that after one bite of our room service we got rid of it. We expected to be asked about the food, but unfortunately the staff didn’t seem to notice two full meals being essentially untouched.
very friendly, helpful staff. Great Union Square location
Valet parking and hotel entrance around the back of the building. Both the party we were meeting and us pulled up front to what looked like the front of the hotel, was nothing to indicate where to go. Some signage would be helpful. Great workout area but having to pay an additional $25 to use felt excessive.
Expensive valet parking...cheaper across the street but this wasn’t explained until check out and had to drive several blocks to get into the hotel valley due to one way streets spat that point we wouldn’t have wanted go through that again to get to the other garage.
Great clean hotel. Great location!!!
Very clean and walking distance to a lot.
Staff themselves professional and very helpful. Great location.
Huge line check in. Few staff, so took forever. Extra fee for fitness center. Housekeeping never came first day.
Ideal for business travel
I usually prefer to stay at the Nikko for it’s excellent health club, particularly the pool- hard to find in San Francisco. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff are excellent too. I also like the Japanese food.
The neighborhood is not my favorite but it’s very convenient
Love the beds, sheets, pillows. Great amenities. Good shower, soft water.
They charge for use of the gym and if you arrive before 3pm they will charge you $30 for early check in.
Great hotel, perfect location
Location is perfect, with easy access to public transport, taxi/Uber/Lyft. Cleanliness. The best gym I've ever seen in a hotel. New and functional equipment.
That might be a bit noisy as the fire department likes to turn on the sound, and people like to sound the horn in San Francisco, but they do it everywhere and anytime.
Location, friendly staff
Thin walls, cold pool
Comfortable, but a couple minor complaints
The room was smaller than what I'm used to, but very comfortable. The bed was plush, with high-quality bedding. Good shower and toiletries, fast elevators, comfortable lobby
The walls are quite thin, and because the toilets are vacuum toilets, they are louder than average toilets, and you can hear everyone flushing. The bathroom door is also a stylish (but not noise-blocking) glass barn door, so if you are sharing the room with someone, they will hear everything that is happening in the bathroom. There is a $25 fee to use the gym and pool, which I was not aware of when I booked the room.
I enjoyed my stay
I was very happy with the hotel, location in the city, the service & the staff.
I couldn't stay longer.
fees for everything including gym and even moving anything in the mini bar. grout in shower old and stained, toilet off center and wiggled.
