Location Location Location! Very accessible to museums, restaurants and transit. Restaurant on premises. Rooms were small but very clean. San Francisco is very expensive so hotel prices were good given the proximity to Union Square.
elevators were slow. noisy at night
Clean and trendy. Bed was very comfortable
Refrigerator in the room was a nice surprise!
Poor neirborhood near by.
Our stay was wonderful! I would give it 4 stars, just a couple things that would have made it a 5 star. The room was great, bed comfortable, and very nicely decorated and very clean. If we come again we plan to stay here. Very central to everything and a great bar and restaurant attached, can't go wrong with that!!
Only improvements I would suggest: cups in the room- we got thirsty in middle of night, and we did text for cups and were brought some- so that is awesome but still would have been better to have on hand. Our tv was terrible... the picture quality was awful and half the channels either were frozen pictures or not available. And having an iron and ironing board would also have been nice.
Price for the location was great !!!
Said there was a mini fridge there was none, my first room was filthy with dirty towels all over the floor. But once I complained to the staff they corrected the issue and gave me a new room. Also the air inside the hotel is very stuffy, the windows don't open all the way up to let out the stuffy air and let the fresh air in. I did feel a bit nauseous most of the time when inside the room. If you plan in staying in the hotel room for other than just sleeping at night this is not the hotel to stay in !!! I would give this hotel a overall 6/10
Looking for a hip, laid back hotel right in the middle of everything San Francisco has to offer? The Bartlett Hotel and Guesthouse offers the best experience in the city. Low-cost travelers, solo travelers, and small groups are better accommodated here rather than families.
Located on O’Farrell Street The Bartlett is amid the shops and restaurants of busy Union Square, and a short walk to Powell Street Station/Cable Car Station. A 10-minute walk from the hotel leads guest to Chinatown and Moscone Center, while a 15-to20-minute walk leads to SFMOMA, North Beach, and SF Ferry Building.
Bartlett Hall on-site at the hotel captures the essence of San Francisco in the form of food, drink and good times. The restaurant is a unique facility like no other in the area that attracts visitors and locals alike to enjoy house-brewed beers, barrel-aged cocktails, and uniquely crafted bites from lunch to late night.
Accommodations range from Bartlett Queen Standard to bunk beds, quads, economy queens and economy bunks. The Bartlett Bunks is recently renovated to feature two bunk bed and a private bath and is ideal for low-cost travelers. The Bartlett Quad is ideal for groups of three or four with four bunk beds and a private bath. All rooms feature the same standard amenities such as minifridges, flat-screen TVs and ceiling fans, the only difference is the space and the fact that economy rooms share a hallway bathroom.
