Lovely pool area and on site restaurant serves delicious good at very reasonable prices - we will definitely be back !
Cons: One small complaint was the wi-fi connection - it costs €18 for the week to have it in your apartment but connection was patchy at best

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Width, support, size, bed linen
9.0 Excellent
Pros: La Casone del Patio is a nice hotel located in the quiet town of Santiago del Teide. It is a quiet town, but by car it is easy to reach the much more touristic places, such as Los Gigantes, Masca or Icod de los Vinos. Also the volcano Teide is easily reached. It offers comfortable quiet and spacious rooms, with good beds. The breakfast is excellent with many options.
Cons: The wifi could be better. In our room the standard wifi did not work. Fortunately the staff provided an alternative, which worked better.
7.0 Good
Pros: Very beautiful property but something strange was going on here. It was like the hotel was 'abandoned' and some of the services like spa, gym, horse back riding were no longer really what they used to be or never were. We were walking around and there were trash hanging about and abandoned spaces. The breakfast was managed by one poor person who could not possible alone keep up the standards of a 4 star hotel. Is this a place that before was a true 4 star and now no longer, or is it a project in the making? Dont know, first time here. We didn't eat in the restaurant due to all the bad comments on booking and went to a local one. Anyhow we left with mixed feelings, beautiful rooms and common spaces, next to trash and a feeling of a 'ghost' hotel on the other.
Cons: The breakfast was not good in general. We appreciated the possibility to make our own juices but the rest was of poor quality. Here again we could feel the contradiction present in the place.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location Room ok but bathroom door jammed all the time and floor flooded after shower Breakfast ok but room freezing
Cons: The hotel was very cold especially the breakfast room and hallways The staff at reception wore coats all the time We had booked dinner for two nights but did not eat there second night because of very poor quality of dinner first night
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable rooms and lovely staff. Dinner was well priced with generous helpings but nothing fancy. Breakfast was good. Drinks at dinner were well priced and servings again generous
Cons: They should provide drinking water in rooms free of charge for every night of your stay not just the first night. The tap water is not drinkable.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Private.sunny terrace
Cons: Smoke over the terrace fron chimney above
9.2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel had a lot of character and a great restaurant - it’s lovely to sit in the sun and have a leisurely lunch. Great breakfast offering too. Powerful shower in the bathroom and beautiful grounds with a lovely mountainous backdrop.
Cons: Can’t think of any negatives!

Barceló Santiago - Santiago del Teide - Building
5
8.6 Excellent (1,747 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The Barceló Santiago hotel is situated in the most beautiful natural setting in the south of Tenerife, with unique views of the island of La Gomera and the Los Gigantes cliffs and just 200 m from the nearest beach.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location and the friendly staff
Cons: Facilities and value for money
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I visited the hotel with a friend and the hotel exceeded all my expections it was stunning all the Staff were amazingly helpful and friendly particularly on reception. The room was beautiful, clean with stunning views from both balconies. Good selection of food on all inclusive particularly at breakfast. Around the pool was like living the life of the rich and famous, so chilled out and peaceful no loud voices and we even had a live violinist playing , no loud pop music blaring in the background it was heaven. Just to lay there and unwind and look at stunning mountain and sea views definitely de-stressed me. I cannot wait for my next visit to Barcelo Santiago as we will most definitely be booking to go again.
Cons: Could be a little more selection of food for all inclusive at the pool bar and a few more coffee machines in the restaurant as this involved a lot of queuing on a morning at breakfast. Would be an idea to invest in some better food warmers as food was not as hot as it should be. Waiter service at the balanaise beds would be great.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic pool and sunbed area with wonderful views. Animation team and all staff excellent.
Cons: Bathroom was a cramped
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb seaside views - all the rooms have balconies, and most directly over the sea - you can hear the breakers from the rooms. A lot of the rooms face west towards La Gomera island. Sitting on your balcony with a drink to watch the sun set behind La Gomera is one of the high points of our stay. We have just stayed in the hotel for the 3rd time , in January as before, and liked the newly refurbished rooms, with white and crips bedlinen and generous towels and bathrobes.
Cons: There is a feeling of frenzy about the dining room - at breakfast and dinner, there seems to be a clatter of crockery and a rush of waiting staff and guests - perhaps inevitable given the numbers involved
7.0 Good
Pros: Good location and decent food, we have stayed previously at this hotel and room choice makes a big difference to the holiday experience, do go for the better room options if you can. Request floors 7, 8 or 9 of the upper block or any of the west facing sea edge rooms.
Cons: Queuing for eggs and omelettes in the Breakfast melee, tried early and late breakfast times but still busy. The system seems poorly organised as people waiting for omelets block access to the fried eggs which are already cooked and available. Coffee machines are erratic and can't keep up with demand at breakfast times but the quality of coffee is very good. Avoid so called deluxe superior rooms on the sixth floor directly above the pool table and skittles unless of course you enjoy the noise created by these activities and the people who partake ! Rooms 622 (which we had) and rooms 621, 620 would be the most affected, the later two rooms would also have their views of Gomera and the lovely Sunset obscured by the terrace Bar / Cafe.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Very classy all round. Excellent cuisine and great views.
Cons: All good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was excellent in every way. The staff were amazing and all seemed happy in their work. Although it was a large resort you never felt compromised in way. Would definitely definitely go again.
Cons: Loved everything.
