Met on arrival. Great friendly hosts Enjoyed the breakfast with a wide choice should you not want the Full English. And the view from the room was amazing Also was given a parking permit which was a plus
The house is a very well kept and tastefully modernised bed and breakfast. My kids loved the family room (11), which had a great view of Scarborough's North Bay. The location is great for having a walk to the castle or Peasholme Park, and Alpamare is a 4-minute drive away. The honesty bar in the lovely shared lounge is a nice touch, and the WiFi signal is still good on the second floor (there is a WiFi extender, so this is clearly a thoughtful inclusion, rather than a fluke, which shows attention to detail). The broadband was also good enough for us to stream Netflix (via my Chromecast, the TV in the room is not a Smart TV) with no issues. Breakfast was lovely and was obviously cooked with care, with something for everyone, including a vegetarian "full English", if that floats your boat. We would definitely go here again.
The only issue in the area is parking, but a pass is provided that allows you to park on any of the nearby streets. This is beyond the owners' control, and would apply to most similar properties in the area.
The sea view from our room ( 10 ) were fantastic. Also the lounge had a big tv and a small well stocked bar.
The room was very small, but it was ok for us.A bit noisy late pm early morning.Too be fair our hosts maybe never heard the arguments going outside the front door.
The location was perfect. The room was so comfortable and clean. Breakfast was gorgeous and staff were really friendly. Will definitely be back.
Friendly Host and a breakfast to die for - good location on top of the hill
