10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely family run guest house positioned perfectly in Sciacca. Breakfast was very good, homemade cakes always available. The staff were excellent and very eager to help with advice etc. The room was very nice and cleaned every day. Sciacca is a lovely bustling town with some great restaurants and bars. The port area is also very nice and there is a lovely sandy beach a short drive away. Sciacca is a great location for exploring the south of the island for example the temples in Agrigento or the wonderful town of Trapani. Menfi close by also has a beautiful beach.
Cons: There are many stairs and no lift although the owners are very happy happy to help with luggage. The property does not have private parking however there is parking close by which is free.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a nice place to stay. The room was comfortable and clean. They also had a nice outdoor seating area for relaxing if needed. Breakfast was typical Sicilian and a good way to start the day.
Cons: The staff that we met did not speak English, not that it should be expected when travelling in another country but would have been helpful. Even with the language barrier we got made due and had a very nice stay.

2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Fantastic location with a very friendly an attentive staff. Although remote - within 90 minutes driving you have a lot to discover.
Cons: Wine list totally overprized - even for such a luxury resort. But: RF hotels are known for that. Compared to Hotel de Russie in Rome it's almost cheap...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Stunning resort with incredible landscaping and immaculate facilities. Generously sized rooms and friendly staff plus a huge kids club full of toys and activities for little ones.
Cons: The coffee was a bit hit and miss - a surprise in Sicily!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a 3 nights stay in a seafront room. The room was overlooking a small part of the golf course and the sea. Although the resort is really huge and has many rooms you can enjoy privacy. The guests in the neighbouring room at one side were hardly heard. It is actually really fun when sitting on the terrace and watching golf players pass - better than not seeing anyone. Another really good thing Tabuthemata resort is the bikes. When we first came we never thought of using the bikes and we thought we can walk. But in the end we used them all the time - like for driving to the beach. So funny, although you really could walk as distances are really not super far. Staff were so friendly and reacting fast to everything needed. We took our car regularly and had to wait never more than 10 minutes until we could leave the resort for some sightseeing. Breakfast was delicious, huge selection as in all other RF hotels as well With arrival we had some fruits and water as well. Spa was really good too and huge! We loved our stay - highly recommended!!!
Cons: Stay was too short ;-)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was awesome. From check-in to check-out there is nothing negative to say about this hotel. Staff is very professional and will take care of everything you need. The resort is very big so you never get an overcrowded feeling. Restaurants are fabulous. Great golf course. Enjoyed a lot the fact that you move around the resort on bikes, really cool and makes the resort "cleaner".
Cons: I didn't dislike anything.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We had a fantastic stay from the moment we arrived. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful. The resort itself is beautiful and a very relaxing place to stay.
Cons: We weren’t told that we would have to pay a fee to play tennis or to book racquets, this was only mentioned when we were checking out. The restaurants were quite expensive for what you got.

Pros: The hotel had ample common space for lounging in the garden or sitting in the breakfast room. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit and juices, and both savory and sweet items. Claudia, who staffed the hotel, was on top of everything. We arrived by bicycle and she immediately found a place to store them. She helped secure a replacement water bottle for one we'd broken and recommended a restaurant. Perfect location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location and a really nice host.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Locando al Moro is a gem. A lovely boutique B&B in a sensitively restored old building in the gorgeous narrow streets of Sciacca. The Manager Claudia made us feel welcome even before we arrived by phoning us to give us detailed directions and parking suggestions. She was so kind and helpful all thoughout our stay with restaurant and sightseeing recommendations and directions to a playground for our children. We enjoyed wine and antipasti in the restored courtyard. The rooms are modern, quiet and comfortable with smart bathrooms. Would love to return.
Cons: The beds were a little bit on the firm side.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything - exceptional staff, excellent breakfast, great atmosphere and location.
Cons: A bit difficult to access with luggage.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Claudia was a wonderful hostess; warm, welcoming and helpful. One morning when we were too tired to come down for breakfast she packed us a lovely package of yummy food to go ~ so thoughtful! The building was lovely (unique 600 year old Arab influenced). The room clean and comfortable and the location very practical. We would love to return one day... Grazie mille Claudia!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were extremely professional and helpful including contacting us before we arrived to give instructions on access and where to park. The location is a bit tricky to find, being in the old town, but that meant we were in an interesting spot to stay and walk around. Great value.

The large balcony was beautiful and you could see the mountains and the ocean. The room was exceptionally clean as was the reception and breakfast area. It was a perfect place a few minutes out of the city center. The casa has a beautiful garden area and steps up to the accommodation. The parking right in front is secure. The breakfast was jam packed. Italian meats and cheeses, yoghurt, juices, breads, fresh fruits and pastries. Cafe anyway you want. This place was a great value and a very wonderful stay. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was beautiful. Breakfast was great. The owner went out of his way to make our stay comfortable.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent - good coffee, pastries, lovely organic jam, fruit (including prickly pears, after I'd commented on the one in the courtyard area!). Small filled rolls, some of which the owner was kind enough to package up for us when we were about to leave for the coach to Agrigento. Very thoughtful. It was a gorgeous location, more greenery than I'd expected, and the room was air-conditioned with a balcony and its own roof terrace. Fast wi-fi.
Cons: Couldn't be faulted, really. The historic centre, where we were, has lots of steps, and very steep narrow streets. Charming but a bit tiring.

4.6 Okay
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons: It was near the harbour but the promised view from the balcony wasn’t correct at all. You couldn’t have the view when you sat down. The first picture on the site is a misleading picture. Small bedrooms, very small bathroom and shower. Tall people have a problem in these showend. There was a penetrating chemical smell in the bathroom which kept me awake. Open Windows isn’t an option because of the mosquito’s.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good Breakfast.
6.7 Good
Pros: I cannot say anything bad about this property - everything was proper, but we were not over excited, given the price we had to pay for the room
Cons: 1) A little mean on the part of the owners: we would expect a complementary bottle of water for the rate we paid - we could buy one from the minibar 2) The route to the town centre (- before reaching the long stairs) did not feel safe after dark
6.7 Good
Pros: Easy to get to by car; sea views over the port; free parking opposite the hotel. Friendly staff
Cons: No elevator Situated at the bottom of the steep hill Sciacca is built on - you need to drive up to at least the Porta Palermo to be able to explore the city without an initial steep hike equal to 20+ floors.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is great, really close to everything and two mins walk to main piazza overlooking the sea. The staff were friendly.
Cons: Breakfast was ok, but could’ve been better. They were having problems with the WiFi connections. We had to wait a while to be let in as they don’t have anyone on the property, you can call though and they come over ASAP, however for some countries such as Canada it is very expensive to make a call overseas on your cell phone.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: excellent location quiet friendly staff good breakfast
Cons: nothing

Pros: The staff were lovely and it was very clean.
Cons: The location is stated as beachfront. This is just not true, it is a long and dirty/smelly walk down through a myriad of streets to a working fishing port covered in fish guts and rubbish and you cannot swim and there is no city beach. The location is high up in the old town and lovely, but definitely not beachfront

Overview Reviews
Located in Sciacca, Villa Palocla is within a 10-minute drive of Museo del Carnevale di Sciacca and Sciacca Marina. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.9 Good
Pros: Breakfast and Dinner was very good
Cons: The hotel is not good for holidays or for people who want to relax in a quiet area / countryside. As the hotel has every night Private functions/ Partys with very loud music until 01:00 hrs in the morning. Also during the day there are functions/ Partys by the pool and it is very noisy, as the staff is building up the function equipment by the pool. It is a pity, as the location of the hotel is very beautiful and peaceful, it could be a fantastic place to relax...
7.1 Good
Pros: Decorated in an unusual traditional manner which gave it character. Staff very friendly
Cons: The pool is a very good size. The umbrellas are large but in a poor state of repair as were the sunbeds. For 4 days out of the 5 that we stayed the pool was used for swimming lessons so couldn’t be used in the mornings. However the biggest problem was that the hotel was used as an events venue for 4 nights out of the 5 that we stayed. There was loud music until 1am right outside our bedroom window. The events felt intrusive, the car park was always full when you came back after eating out. It definitely affected our stay. The staff were understanding and agreed a discount. The other thing to mention is that the air conditioning in the bedroom does not work well and it feels as if the hotel needs a significant investment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were friendly and attentive at all times in this beautiful hotel (Thank you for your energy Carlo ).Note that I did travel in January, off-season; breakfast was cereal, fruit, fresh orange juice (well we were in an orange grove), toast and endless cakes and biscuits. I was served tea in my room when I asked for it and I was asked what I would like for supper. I even got a free delicious snack to takeaway but that was a special circumstance I should think. The rooms have a classic feel with beautiful murals on the ceilings. There's vast grounds and a large pool. Very quiet area which means a very good nights rest.
Cons: There was no tea/drink making facilities in the room but the staff would serve you so this is not a problem.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Food good - and with a reasonable selection at breakfast and dinner. Its not near anywhere - you do need a car - but with one there are lots of places worth visiting close by. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly.
Cons: Nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: You cannot walk to the sea nor the town. You absolutely must have a car to stay here. It is more a B&B than a hotel.
7.1 Good
Pros: Family run and looked after our individual needs
Cons: They had night event on 3 of 5 days we stayed which I found noisy keeping me awake. They needed to do this to supplement the business.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good food in the restaurant! Quiet place, nice pool and garden area.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Food was amazing. Staff were fantastic, very friendly and accommodating. Rooms quirky but really comfortable. Pool was lovely and clean. Area really quiet and super relaxing. Thoroughly recommend the place for peace, quiet and great food...
Cons: Very rural, you really need a car, I didn't appreciate quite how rural! I was on crutches and the staff were great at organising taxis and lifts. Also restaurant wasn't open for lunch.....
7.1 Good
Cons: Location difficult to find. Air conditioning very old and doesn't function properly

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean
Cons: Breakfast Not a lot of variety and it is out of the property
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were spacious and clean the beds were much more comfortable than we found in similar accommodations The owner was friendly and helpful the place was relatively close to the city centre The outdoor car park was equipped with electric control. Not very safe but better than parking on the street
Cons: The location of the refrigerator: It was in a common area shared with other guests The noise: The apartment was close to a major traffic corridor therefore, while convenient, a bit noisy.

Cons: Amazing service... lovely place and staff! Definitely a positive experience.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was suggested by a friend from Sciacca. It’s located just behind Porta Palermo. You don’t need to get the car to visit the town or to eat/drink. Room and bathroom are very spacious with a nice small terrace. All the hosts we met were very kind with us. And the breakfast is full of fresh things every day.
Cons: Maybe parking could be difficult since the b&b it’s located in downtown.

Pros: The accommodation was superb. The hosts were so nice friendly and welcoming. They allowed us early check in and brought us a lovely tray with Champagne and cookie to our room. We would definitely return.
