The staff let me check in very early when I arrived.
Awful--no iron or microwave until we moved to a new room because of the huge crack under the door and the defective smoke detector that beeped all night. Then, we had no coffee pot, the sink was clogged, and the safe did not work. They also failed to leave cups each day. Very shabby.
Everything! Room smelled of mildew and smoke. Rug felt awful under my feet. Doors were opening and shutting all night long. I think a lot more was going on beside people staying overnight on a trip. I would never stay there again and I suggest people read posts about this particular Days Inn. The picture you see on line is not at all what the motel looks like. Terrible experience!!!!!!!
Worst Hotel in America
The manager in the morning realized how bad our stay had been that he gave me a partial refund without me having to prompt him. That was professional and appreciated. Unfortunately he seemed to be the only person there who acted that way.
Where should I begin? Among the many things that happened to us: - Non-smoking room reeked of smoke - Maid threw out our things (toothbrush case, ear plugs) - Maid didn't clean room, in fact threw our pillows all over the room and left them without pillowcases - Manager who was told about this problem made us wait an hour only to bring us 4 towels and 2 pillowcases for 2 people and 6 pillows - A mouse was found running around our room - Headboard fell off of bed Oh, and to add insult to injury, when we went to the soda machine to get a coke a ginger ale came out. That's a lot to happen in two nights. This place has a strange layout - there aren't nearly enough parking spaces for rooms especially in some areas, which means that you might have to park on the complete opposite side of the hotel from your room. When you have luggage, this is suffice to say really annoying. Also, the doors don't really close evenly (maybe how the mouse got in) and the keycard scanners take about 4 tries to work on average. Also, no breakfast - but at least they didn't lie about that. This hotel finished off a 2.5 month roadtrip/honeymoon for my wife and I across the US and I can honestly say this was the worst place we stayed at in the entire country. That puts in a lower class than places that actually gave us key cards on two consecutive occasions to other peoples bedrooms when we checked in, that had gaping holes and stains in our blankets, and that had prostitutes coming into the room next to us on rotation. If we were paying $40 a night for this shithole we might have shrugged it off as "you get what you pay for" but for nearly double that it's highway robbery. We could have stayed at a homeless shelter and had a better experience. Stay away.
