Pros: The location was ideal for views of harbour and Holy Isle, especially from the balcony with a glass of wine. The breakfasts were presented as edible art. The hosts were warm and informative.
Cons: There wasn't anything not to like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wow! What a stay! Our hosts Jules & Carol were fantastic, they cared about us from the moment we made the reservation, helping to tell us about the local area. The room was available for us to arrive a little early and drop off our bags. We were met by a large spacious room with fantastic views across Lamlash bay and towards the Holy Isle. Breakfast is very generous, and you were truly spoilt for choice daily, with fresh ingredients and a great choice. I don't think I have ever eaten so well whilst on Holiday. As for the location, you benefit from a central location in Lamlash, the whole island is only 56 miles (80km) around, so everything is reachable in an hour, however many local food options available within walking distance in the evening.
Cons: Leaving

6.7 Good
Pros: Breakfast was lovely
Cons: Location isolated
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great B&B and very friendly and accommodating owner. Super breakfast.
Cons: Room was rather small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Old Scotland charm in a small seaside village with walks along the seashore and cliffs readily available and a short ferry ride to the mainland. The scenery was legendary and the people warm and friendly. Sheep and their antics were daily entertainment and we could hear the red deer bugling at night. What we liked best about the Butt Lodge were the couple who own and run the lodge and their staff - all were helpful and interesting people. The old world feel of the lodge was refreshing and its location on this small island, near the sea and village and a way of life that is uncommon in modern travels made the Butt Lodge a highlight of our visit to Scotland. Sara and Rich
Cons: Considering the smaller size of the updated bathroom in our room (understandable given the space available), more shelving would have been appreciated during our three night stay.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Where to start... beautifully decorated, dry room for wet clothes, home baking available all day, great breakfasts with locally sourced ingredients and veggie/ vegan options, extra bathroom for use if you fancy a bath, TWO comfortable lounges, a library of useful guidebooks, interested but unobtrusive hosts with lots of information about the island. I was a woman alone with a child and the other half of or family were somewhere else, but I felt completely safe and comfortable. Couldn’t have asked for more.

Pros: Friendly staff couldn’t do enough for my husbands 60th birthday treat
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The service was excellent, we were standed on the island an extra night and were accomodated without an issue in a low-cost room in the older part of the hotel.
Cons: We upgraded to an executive room mainly for the use of the jacuzzi, which comes with the private lounge area, but found on arrival that the jacuzzi was out of order.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very polite and helpful. Resort was beautiful, retreat was amazing. Clean, very modern didnt want to come home.
3.7 Mediocre
Cons: Walls were paper thin and could every single step outside the door and every conversation above, to my left and to my right. Food was over priced for very average quality. Stuffed mushrooms are a flobby joke. Pool temps are far too low and the Sunarium was broken
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Loved that I was able to schedule a last minute spa treatment! The shuttle to and from the pier is very very helpful. The staff were great - very accommodating. The pool and spa that come with the hotel stay are perfect!
Cons: Only one stressed bar tender made ordering drinks a bit difficult, but the rest of the staff were great!
