As above, the staff friendly and helpful. Pity the bar never seemed to have staff there in early evening, or maybe we went there at wrong time. A bidet in bathroom would be useful, especially as the bathroom was well equipped in other respects.
Excellent all round, visited two other hotels in soller that we were thinking of booking and were very glad that we picked the aimia The nice young breakfast waitress would not let me bring her home as a souvenir.
The pool and breakfast buffet. Very close to the harbour. Excellent housekeeping staff. On arrival at 9.45 pm was told by reception that I might be too late to get something to eat, also to inform them if I wanted to use the sauna at least 30mins before so it could be switched on. On finding that the air conditioning wouldn't work, the room was 25degrees, was told that it was controlled by reception and they then switched it on.
The staff were extremely charming and would go to great lengths to help.the environment and ambience was extremely calm and relaxing;would definitely stay there again.
Having stayed at this hotel two years ago we knew what to expect. The rooms are extremely modern and clean with very good views. Although we did not use the indoor pool and spa these are also very good. Helpful staff who have lots of time to answer queries. There could be more sun loungers around the pool, including some in the shade. Most of the ones provided were covered by towels very early but not used by the majority until much later in the day.
The overall friendliness of the staff and their attention to detail.
Spa views of the mountains It rained so couldn't cycle
Most friendly / most helpful / most delightful / most accomodating
sheer luxury !! The staff were excellent and even knew on our arrival that we had stayed there once before. The facilites location and food could not have been better and we look forward to our next visit. Weather was poor during our stay so we could not have breakfast on the roof terrace - this was not the fault of the hotel !!
The staff were very helpful
The staff at all levels were concerned to make the experience memorable. The food was always delicious and the wine selection more than adequate.
Friendly helpful staff, quiet town but close to transport to main tourist attractions. Delicious breakfast in a beautiful setting.
delightful staff, very good cooking, rooftop terrace with small pool for breakfast with great coffee and limitless freshly squuezed orange juice. Well appointed rooms.
The food in the restaurant was excellent - the staff friendly and helpful - a delightful hotel - I would return I could never find anyone down at the spa centre and did not manage to locate the hairdresser - but I did not make particular enquiries and am sure they would have helped me if I had of been that intererested - theymiss an opportunity for the 'impulse sale' but not being more visible with staff around
Roof terrace, location, helpfull staff
Everyone very helpful , polite and friendly, food excellent, great value for money, superb roof top swimming pool with great views, would definitely go back No problems at all
Loved the setting, the staff couldn't have been more helpful, the rooms were delightful, the pool area was superb, the spa treatments were excellent.... I could go on! One thing that I would have liked is a hospitality tray in the room to make tea and coffee whenever we wanted.
Excellent location for a short break.Very friendly & helpful staff. A first class hotel Nothing
Excellent hotel - Pascal is a very good host. We especially enjoyed the breakfasts.
The breakfasts were good. Nice bread Toilet was leaking and its very noisy on the road.
Very friendly welcome. Manager very helpful and provided a surprise free upgrade. Nothing, it was a very enjoyable stay.
Quiet, pleasant atmosphere and Pascal is a superb host.
The hotel was informal, relaxed and well situated. Pascal was efficient and attentive without being fussy and only too happy to help if asked. The only minor irritant was that, in the well appointed bathroom, the lighting could have been a little better.
good location, welcoming proprietor,great breakfast,
This place was simply amazing!! We couldn't have wished for more.A Beautifully renovated farmhouse which is modern but has maintained all the character. The owner could not have done more for us infact I would go as far as to say possibly one of the loveliest women I have ever met! I cannot recommend this place highly enough!!
friendly owner, small family business booked for double room with 7 year child for 3 nights contacted by owner week before to inform child bed not available. offered small house nearby for same price. facilities offered were overpriced for 3 nights, not cleaned for first 2 days and not what we were looking for. My impression was hotel was overbooked at outset.
We loved the charm, the old fashioned setting, the attention paid to us by the young husband and wife team, the feeling of being in the countryside, and the location. There was no one available to help you during the daytime if you needed help with something.
Peaceful, relaxing, good quality rooms, free wi-fi, breakfast, rural location. Soller town good transport links to port and Palma. Small, friendly hotel you should expect to fend for yourself some of the time, but staff are helpful and friendly when on-site. Good car parking Just a tad too far out of town if you don't have a car, be prepared for a 20-30 minute walk depending on your fitness levels
Operated by a delightful young couple for whom nothing was too much trouble. Excellent, cold buffet breakfasts. Spacious room (No 5) with terrace, which had a lovely mountain backdrop. Ten minutes' walk from the centre of Soller and links via tram to the coast and train to Palma. Difficult to locate in daylight so must be nail-biting in the dark.
The owner was lovely even though she couldnt speak English we all thought she was fun and dedicated to making your stay enjoyable
The hotel - it is more a B&B - has a unique charm thanks to its period furniture. Owner Martha is very friendly (...in Spanish only though). Despite earlier positive reviews, we found our room lacking in comfort: our Red Room faces a narrow but busy main thoroughfare and consequently is extremely noisy (from 4 a.m. trucks to late night motor cycles). Also, at this time of the year (?) the room was full of mosquitos and no counter measures were available. As such, we did not sleep much of our three nights' stay. We recommend to book a room at the back - the hotel itself is lovely. Parking is only available in the street and at quite a walking distance. Breakfast with only one type of bread was rather mediocre, we found.
met my expectation totally , v,wellcoming feel ,great attention to the details in it s decor and service no
Superb friendly staff (but spoke little or no English); beautiful, elegant rooms; very central for station and town square; wonderful breakfast!
The hotel was like an ol fashioned guest house run by the family. It was a small terraced building close to the centre of Soller.
the location for soller and port of soller was perfect. straight off the tram to the hotel. beautiful setting and unique in its presentation and informality. only five rooms each excuisite. upgrade to the terrace room for the last five days... mind the head on the black king of the chess board... it is loose. on hindsite the price was way too much but that was my decision at the time. english language was nil... but we managed. if you like baaguettes all the time you'll love it
Charming room, lovely breakfast in the garden
Unusual hotel, like staying in someone's lovely old house. The breakfast is cooked by the lady owner and is fantastic and served with great charm. The bed was comfortable, everything worked, my room at the back was quiet except for the occasional hoot from the ferrocarril - but I liked that.
The room was excellent. The staff very nice. Breakfast good
Everything was good but I liked the most the hotel stile maybe the room was little
Beautiful, comfortable hotel in a peaceful location. Staff were very friendly and attentive
Accomodation was superb. Views excellent. Although we did not have time to use it, the Spa looked wonderful. My wife would have liked more light near the mirror. I would also have been nice to have at least one English speaking tv channel, maybe Sky News.
Fantastic dinner in the restaurant with exceptional food, great wine and good service. The main hotel buildings have beautiful original features and the location is wonderfully peaceful. Our room was in an annexe and was very dark, musty and altogether pretty depressing, not at all in keeping with the rest of the hotel and a bit of a disappointment.
The hotel was beautifully restored with an attractive outdoor eating area. The large room was tastefully decorated and had a large terrace overlooking the hills. The breakfast was excellent and evening meals were very good and well presented. The staff were always friendly and helpful, yet unobtrusive. The room warranted an individual shower rather than one over the bath. The terrace could have had more privacy.
food,service, and room excellent
A very cosy hotel in lovely grounds. Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff, especially Juan, the main person at the reception. The food was very good for hotel standard and there were daily specials (like an incredibly tasty suckling pig) on most days. The actual grounds are in a need of some TLC and the gym is in serious need of updating. Our room was one of only four in a separate building. It was very quiet, spacious, with a big bathroom and a dressing area, comfortable beds, pretty antique furniture. The veranda in front of it opened onto an olive grove. The swimming pool was a good size and deep, but the water could have been warmer - it never reached the advertised 26 degrees. All in all, a perfect spot to relax and get away from it all. Nets on windows would have been a good idea as it would have allowed us to leave our windows open, rather than keep the air conditioning on. It would have stopped all the moths and flies getting in and given us some fresh air.
We had an excellent room in the main building which we were really please with, coupled with very good food and service. The boiled eggs were cold and hard at breakfast.
The situation ,view and ambience were wonderful. The attention to detail and welcome were excellent. The room and facilities were good. The food quality was very good especially the breakfast buffet. None
Polite and very helpful staff who are a credit to the hotel. Excellent breakfast. Rooms slightly dated, but very comfortable.
Really helpful staff with a peaceful and tranquil location. Definite place to go back to. Also, excellent breakfast to set you up for the day ..... and dinner to end. Minor comment - you don't sign restaurant bills as you go. So rememberig what you had at the end could be confusing if there for an extended period. However, would still go back there!
We loved our stay at Son Palou. It is unbelievably peaceful, in beautiful surroundings and the staff are helpful without being intrusive. The gardens have been beautifully laid out and it doesn't get much more relaxing than lazing in the pool, looking out over the mountains. There are good walks for those wanting something more strenuous. The meals in the evening were excellent as well.
The location (even though it is hard to get there) but it worths it. Very beautiful scenes. love it. Also, the staff are very helpful; I felt like I am staying at my own home. Nothing
Attentive but relaxed and friendly staff, great location (for relaxing), good breakfast, excellent restaurant for evening meals and spacious, comfortable rooms. Ideal for a few days of switching off. erm... TV was tiny, and heavily biased towards German channels, but then we weren't there to watch TV.
I loved the staff, the room, the gardens .We booked a standard room ( room 6), although is not the biggest one, has a nice views to the mountain, good beds and the air acondition works very well. Nothing at all
Peace, quiet beautiful countryside, fantastic walling and really yummy food
My second visit - that says it all! Already planning to go back next year. Just love it, love it, love it! My special place in the world but happy to share! If you want to retreat from the world, this is the place. The location, peace and tranquillity are magnificent and the staff also make it a special experience.
Fantastic food, setting and buildings. Extremely helpful and friendly staff that it did not have a bar although you could order drinks when you wanted
The food was excellent, and the staff in the restaurant were were also excellent The hotel did not have a record of our booking on arrival. They fortunately had a cancellation, and so we were able to stay. On checking they found the booking, but said they had not had confirmation from booking.com. Late in the evening the hot water was only tepid, not even hot enough for a shower.
Breathtaking surrondings, friendly and helpful staff and gardens, food.....the perfect combination
Beautiful setting in the countryside but with a gate from the hotel into the tiny village of Orient, which has a couple of restaurants. Really interesting old building, beautiful (but cold!) pool that got the sun until late into the evening. we were staying in one of the out-buildings - very spacious room, 4 poster bed, lovely patio area outside. I felt the welcome we received really let the hotel down. We really had to prise information out of the guy on reception, and he was not helpful at all when we explained we needed to leave for the airport at 8am, before breakfast started at 8.30. When I asked the evening manager he was much more obliging and was kind enough to leave us a picnic breakfast.
Breakfast was delicious with a large variety of food. Easy walk to and from the beach. Pool was lovely beautiful setting. People would leave their towells on their sun loungers all day so you did not know whether they were coming back or whether you could use them!
Beautiful small family hotel in a stunning setting.
The hotel is a boutique style hotel and is traditionally old spanish style. The locations is fantastic, parking can be a bit of a problem on occasion as the streets are so narrow, however this is a very old Spanish village. Facilities in the village were good. THe pool was well kept. The staff were very pleasant. I would visit this hotel again. Nothing
The staff were extremely helpful when we needed our passports to be sent across the island to the airport. They we life savers! As its a small hotel, at times it was difficult to find a staff member. Some of the food & drinks were not appropriate for the hotels star rating which was disappointing.
Very nice , well presented , discrete but friendly , well positioned and all in all a very good experience . Sun beds were a bit grubby - ok its the end of the season but at this price level it let down the side a little - a small issue but more the impact of perception that damge by reality
We loved the charm and personal service. Excellent landscaping and pool-side relaxation. Amazing mountain views.
A beautiful hotel in beautiful surroundings. Staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I would definately recommend a visit.
Good Quality, friendly and comfortable Parking but of course in such a attractive village parking was always going to be difficult. In the event space was available in the public car park.
Having stayed at Ca'n Verdera last year we knew we would like to return, The quality of the room was very good and particularly the effectiveness of the air conditioning - of huge importance to English people in the height of summer. Breakfast in the courtyard was almost as good as when it was on the higher terrace, Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, particularly Anna.
location, environment, facilities...
It's in a very charming location The staff were very slow at serving breakfast etc, it was slighty over priced for what it was.
The decor and style of the hotel. The location at the centre of the village was excellent The standard of service at breakfast was not at 4 star standard. Also, having to pay extra for items such as cooked eggs was irritating
Good breakfast buffet with freshly cooked food. Large room. Very good standard for the price.
OK rooms, close to centre, nice reception area Unfriendly staff, lack of service. We waited 15 min. in the reception before the clerk showed up. As I look at the reviews of this hotel there are big differences in peoples experience.
Reception staff were just so nice and helpful! Super! For all non-pretentious/non-pompous types an absolute gem. Well, obviously at the rates, not sumptuous, but, nothing bad except the bodywash containers which were out in many rooms, and the cleaners "no hai" -pretty small complaint!
The staff were very helpful, plenty to eat and a varied breakfast. Double room very good comfortable and lovely balcony
close to water, close to town, clean, awesome buffet complete totally full breakfast for anyone who likes to eat breakfast. the beds were so hard and the blankets were not soft
A really nice breakfast. Our room balcony was far too close to the next one.
Helpful front office staff. Restaurant staff were not very happy.
excellent price a double bed is two singles pushed together...not ideal for young couples
Lovely views from the room. The single room was quite smaill, though, but balcony was spacous. No disturbancies in the night. Qiet location and yet just 2-300 meter to the harbour and tram station. The food was poor. No real cofee, juice etc. for breakfast even the tea water was not hot enough. Dinner was really bad in my oppinion. The food was over or undercooked. Soup was made from powder etc.
good pool area, friendly staff. comfortable and pleasant lounge bar and dining rooms. great views of the bay and mountains from our room. we found that the air conditioning was a bit noisey
The balcony view, gardens, pool and breakfast terrace. All were exceptional. The location, very relaxing, within easy walk of good restaurants in Deia. Booked a double room and ended up with 2 single beds pushed together. Overlooked, as I can see the hoteliers point of view of needing to cater for both couples and many singles walking in the area. View was too good to change rooms!
Wants - somewhere peaceful with excellent service to relax and de-stress. Es Moli ticked all boxes. No
Beautiful hotel, fabulous scenery and a delightfull private cove to laze away the day. Perfect
Spectacular countryside, lovely hotel - bit tired but in a charming way. Friendly staff & good value for money.
the location and the scenery yes when we arrived we were put into a single room instead of a double which we had paid for, the hotel manager was not available for two days so then she moved us to a double room, I was extremely dissapointed that we were given such a small roomin the first place!
easy to move around the area from the prime location no
Stunning location close to Deia. Excellent room and facilities and good food. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nothing
I was on my own and everyone, staff and guests, were very friendly. The bathrobes were too heavy for the heat.
beautiful location- lovely gardens- great breakfast able to hear others in adjoining rooms
the hotel was just outside the village of deia with wonderful view over the mountains, valley and sea. very tranquil the rooms were a bit tired
central to facilities. Wonderful view 136 steps to it although it walked off the dinner
Had a relaxed, home-from-home appeal with a truly gorgeous view. Rooms were comfy and very clean with shiny new bathrooms. Great value and friendly staff - perfect for our combination of walking and beach holiday. Only possible criticism - buffet food was mediocre.
Beautiful views of the port and surrounding mountains, lovely clean swimming pool. We booked a double room but was given a twin; the hotel staff said that there were only 6 doubles in the hotel so it was not possible to give us a double. Also the hotel was quite a way up the hill so anyone with mobility problems would find this difficult.
Nice place. Good size of a town. Fantastic nature. One of the headwaitwers. Staying in the annex for the first 3 days.
The hotel is lovely especially the pool area and the eating area. The rooms were a bit small and dated plus if you're driving it's very confusing to find. Breakfast was lovely.
