Great breakfast with a fabulous view (worth getting to breakfast early to sit near the window). Extremely accommodating owners. Thank you. So sorry you will have a drop in bookings just at the start of the holiday season. Anyone who finds walking difficult be aware that it is a climb from the centre of St Ives. This didn't bother me - in high season it must be great escaping the busy narrow streets below.
Great location and very comfortable room. Gavin and Charlotte are exceptionally attentive hosts. Generous water/ coffee / tea supply and varied breakfast options .
Very clean. Great location charlotte and Gav were very welcoming and Breakfast was superb.
Bedroom and dining room . Breakfast was very good .
The shower was a little cramped , I need to lose more weight than I thought !
Gavin and Charlotte were the perfect hosts and made myself and my wife more than welcome. When I was told that I could upgrade to Room 3 (which I originally wanted) I was over the moon. Room 3 is all that and so much more. Perfect views of the beach, the sea, just brilliant. The room was big, the bed was comfy, the room was cleaned everyday and things like toilet rolls and water were topped up. The breakfast was outstanding. What was on offer both hot and cold made it difficult to decide but I recommend the full English with the fried egg or in my wife case with the poached egg as she's never had one done so well. The information given to us by our hosts was most helpful too. A map to take out with us, directions to the easiest and hardest way to get to the harbour, things going on in town etc. It was amazing how they went that extra mile for us. Would recommend the whole place 10/10 to anyone.
The walk up and down the hills to town and the harbour took some getting used to but when you did it was easy peasy. If you are walking then flat walking shoes are in order especially if its been raining. Don't wear high heels like my wife did and expect not to fall on your bum! Apart from that though there were no things we didn't like. Even the bit of rain we had couldn't dampen our spirits.
