Overview
Drift Thelu Veliga Retreat is located on a tiny island in the Maldives, making it a good getaway for those who are on a honeymoon and those who are looking for a romantic vacation. In order to get to the island, guests will need to take a seaplane ride that takes about 35 minutes. The planes take off from Male International Airport.
Guests will be able to choose from one of the 10 beach villas or one of the 20 water villas, all of which provide the visitors with seclusion and a peaceful stay. The beach villas are near the palm trees and will provide guests with fast access to the beach. The water villas are built on stilts right on the water. Some of the types of amenities found in the rooms include air conditioning, bathrooms, a safe, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, and complimentary WiFi.
The property features a wealth of things to enjoy. The restaurant located on-site features both continental and Asian fare. In the morning, guests can enjoy a free breakfast at the property, which also offers a concierge and a laundry service. High-speed Internet is available in public areas, as well.
When staying at the hotel, guests will never be more than a few steps from the beach. There are plenty of places to go snorkeling and to enjoy other types of water activities. In addition, there are excursions to Whale Shark Point, which is only half an hour from the island by boat.
