The Romantik Hotel zur Glocke is a small jewel in the pedestrian zone of the the city of Trier. Located in the heart of the old town, the Romantik Hotel invites you to spend the night in a unique historical ambience. The “Glocke” is an institution in Trier. It is the oldest pub in town and has been in the gastronomical business since 1803. However, the history of the building can be traced back much longer. The listed front house was built in 1567 on walls dating from the 12th century. The historical cellar vault dates back to the fortification of the Cathedral in the 11th century. From 2012 to 2016, the Glocke was laboriously renovated. In addition, the hotel business, which was discontinued in the 1990s, was resumed. The guests can now expect lovingly and individually decorated rooms over three floor levels. Besides spacious double rooms, the owner-managed hotel offers suites and junior suites. Some of our rooms have a beautiful view of the Cathedral of Trier.
