Pros: It is a beautiful old house surrounded by its own garden, very centrally located and close to the bus and railway station. They make you very welcome and you feel like a guest, not just a client. The hotel has a lot of character, the rooms are furnished and decorated individually. Breakfast is delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were leaving early, but we were offered breakfast before the official hours.

Cons: Everything was perfect except the sockets in the room. Some of them were a little bit old. And an extra extension cord might be required if you don't want to put your phone on the floor while it is charging.

Cons: Online this hotel exudes elegance and old fashioned charm. In reality the building is quite nice, but I didn't find the cracked bathroom sink, broken enamel in the bathtub, or dirty bathroom mirror in our room quite so charming. One of the windows had no way to secure it when closed. For the price of these rooms I expected more in terms of upkeep and maintenance. It's a bit of a hodge-podge of decor as well. It appears as though anything old (and free?) they could get their hands on they put in the room, whether it matched or not either with the rest of the items in the room, or with the grand style of this mansion. I found this esthetic unpleasing. At least the mattress wasn't old.

Cons: A truly astonishingly horrible WiFi experience. EVERY WiFi connection is a one per device. To connect each device you are given a tiny scrap of paper on which are printed, in low quality ink using minuscule low contrast fonts, a set of random characters for the both the user and the password. Good luck trying to decipher these, and you'll have to do it three separate times for your iPhone, iPad, and laptop!

Cons: I stayed at 10 different hotels on my Baltic vacation in July 2019 and Helmi is the only hotel which asked me to leave by 11 am. At the other hotels, I can stay until 12 pm or after. This was tough for me since I checked in late the night before. And I thought the day staff could've delivered the message in a little more tactful way. I was actually told to leave at 11 instead of being reminded that the checkout time is 11. Facilities and amenities were not that great given the price. Neither the evening staff or day staff told me about the paid parking but luckily I asked the day staff and found out. The evening staff know I was driving and should've told me about the parking situation at the hotel.

Pros: Location next to port where our departing friends were staying at a more expensive place was the reason we stayed there. Okay breakfast in the nice former dining room. Just the beverages & boiled eggs were not cold. Best for bed only before taking the morning ferry to Stockholm.
Cons: Small cabin rooms considering it cost €68 & you must make your own bed, which was very narrow! Lastly, the AC was noisy.

Pros: Interesting place to stay, unusual and well located. Although not in the city center, but in a quiet place, near Turku castle. The bus stop from where You can go to airport is 1-2 min away. Friendly staff, breakfast was OK, big and bright breakfast area. There was heating and ventilation in the room. Little hair dryer can be taken from reception if needed.
Cons: I wasn't expecting this, but when I came to the room-cabin, I felt a bit nauseous, because the floor in the room was not equal. But other days it was OK, I got used to it. Very little space in shower + wc, but what could You expect :) It was OK for 3 nights. There is no tv and phone in the room and only a little round window which You cannot open, of course, because it's a ship, so understandable :)

Cons: At least our room needed a renovation, furniture was somewhat worn, some marks on walls and doors, and some black mould in the bathroom, and some dust and dirt under bed and in the corner. The breakfast could have offered more choices, and was the same every day. Quite expensive for this standard.

Cons: Although there was a good selection to choose from, the layout of the breakfast facilities and different food options lacked common sense. Cold milk for example was nowhere near the cereals or indeed the coffee machine. When I asked a staff member for help she had no idea but at least was honest! Dining area is quite dark which might be a problem for some travellers.

Cons: I expected a larger bed for a room that sleaps two people. Besides I would have preferred a softer mattress and the pillows were too high for me. The nearby construction site does not add to the positive price and performance ratio.

My 5 year old son was very dissapointed because he couldnt swim nowhere. In the O Learys the service was poor, waited very very long time to even order. Cons: I DID NOT receive any information regarding access to the hotel. So when I "tried" to check-in and found out there is NO reception and very little information on what I should do to get the access code. Fortunately, a man was entering the front door and provided some friendly assistance to call the Omena reception center in India (or who knows where) to gain access. Really a very basic stereotypical Scandinavian room. You can't open the windows for fresh air, and no room temperature controls (read NO a/c). NO parking and NO breakfast. We did feel safe, but the whole situation is extremely "NON-PERSONAL!" We won't return to the Omena Hotels for future accommodations.
