Had a great and relaxing overnight stay.

The facilities for storing our bikes were excellent. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious.

Very good adress. Pleasant brakfast.

The location is ideal for anyone travelling back to Durkirk for an early morning ferry. Although the restaurant was not open when we were there (Sunday evening) the owner was kind enough to recommend the restaurant across the road, where we had an exellent meal, with everything freshly and imaginatively cooked. The hotel room was larger than we were expecting and superb value for money. The village is very pretty.

It was easy to find (GPS), very nice parking and entrance place, excellent garden and yard. I liked very much the quietness after a long journey. e

The breakfast is amazing!

Pleasant staff (we assume he was the owner?),unusual hotel, breakfast in former workshop, but very cosy with open fire.

No private parking. The room was a bit plain, although everything was clean.

Courtious staff, clean and quiet hotel in a great location.

stayed for 2 nights hotel was clean and staff where friendly location close enough to the main streets but not too close would stay at the hotel again

The breakfastroom was modern and there was a good selection for breakfast and it was tasty.

On arrival our room was not ready and very dirty and the interior was very old and could do with modernisation.

The management and staff were first rate and very hospitable. The breakfast was also very good.

The only negative comment was the wifi connection where we were on the 4th floor did not work for us.

Efficient and courteous receptionist. Good breakfast. Nice room.

View from bedroom onto courtside was not good but this was not the fault of the hotel. What could have been done to improve it was to remove cans and rubbish etc from the roof onto which the room overlloked.

A little pricey for a 3 star

Good location near the beaches; quiet.

Rooms are a bit small for 2 persons, beds are separate, mattresses a bit too soft.

Very quiet location and large, excellent apartment style room. Good value breakfast and friendly staff too. Free parking on site.

The apartment was clean, tidy and comfortable.

The cooking utensils were adequate rather than impressive. The hot water was luke warm only on the last day.

Very comfortable and spacious room and beautifully tiled bathroom, all spotlessly clean. Very helpful owners in constant attendance in reception and serving breakfast which was excellent. Good central location. We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay and would highly recommend this hotel

No onsite parking, but that cannot be expected in most city centre hotels. The owners directed us to a free parking area only 12-15 minutes walk away which was perfectly acceptable, but paying parking was available much closer if desired

Nice, clean room. Comfy bed. Big bathroom. Friendly staff. OK breakfast. Parking nearby. Nice location. Simple, but worth the money.

The pool availability which is why we picked the hotel for our grandson having stayed there previously.

The lack of parking

I did not like fact that on the outside of the building it was advertised as the Oostende Hotel and there was no indication that it was the Royal Astor

The staff remembered us from our last visit and the breakfasts are extremely good

Excellent location but there was no soap in the bathroom. I had to ask for a hairdryer and ironing board as they come as standard. Breakfast was simple but pleasant enough. The staff were pleasant.

My room was stone cold. If the management knew I was coming they could have turned on the radiators. Little details make all the difference. After all it is November.

The breakfast was quite pleasent but simple.

Hotel matress was old and very uncomfortable to say the least, I hardly slept because of it. Not firm but very soft and springs pushing upwards. Lights overall in the Hotel were dim but the room is itself was fine. There were no shower but a small bath tub. Window opens & close but cannot lock it open to allow some fresh air to cirulate the room. Tv is old not big enough to view properly from the bed. Will not return there again.

the food was superb.Location ,friendliness of the staff even though they were extremely busy due to the volume of customers in the bar

not enough staff to cover as the bar/restaurant was continually full with customers and we were unable to dine on the second evening due to the number of customers in the bar

easy walk to the Beach only 5 mins from the shops and resturants. the food served at the Pipers is well worth having

The room was on the small side, parking was not that easy to get a space and the breakfast was very dissapointing.
