Pros: A good hotel, more than expected. Medium sized room with good facilities, very clean and modern design. Bathroom with all you would need for a short stay. Good location close to rail station and public transportation. I enjoyed the free public transportation voucher, available for all my stay. Breakfast was good and varied, coffee at the bar was very good.

Pros: The building is new and modern. Our room was nice, spacious and impeccably clean. Comfortable beds, good shower. Enough space for a family of three with a teenage kid. Secure free parking in the garage, very good wifi.
Cons: We sent an email in advance that we would be arriving late, but no one replied. So we had to call from our way, spending a lot of money on international roaming. Finally, the reception manager called us back and helped to arrange check-in with the credit card and gave us entry codes. Since we arrived very late, we hoped for a good sleep, but no late check-out option was possible. The cleaning staff started knocking at our door and opening it from 9am, though we had a "please do not disturb" sign hanging. This was the first time we ever had such an experience, and we travel a lot.

Cons: They had forgotten to turn on the heat, it was freezing cold, and we slept with our coats on. The Hotel was being restored, therefore there was a horrible smell from the carpet glue, which made breathing unpleasant. We canceled the following nights, as it was impossible to sleep both because of the cold and because of the strong smell. The restaurant breakfast was the worse we have had for many years in a hotel. The date on the tea bags was long overdue and the bread old and dry. No service what so ever perhaps the staff was off?

Pros: All of the staff that I dealt with were so friendly and helpful that I will definitely be choosing this hotel again the next time I visit Braunschweig. A small, family-owned hotel that is well placed for strolling into the inner city for shopping and sightseeing, but also easily reachable from the main station and the Stadthalle, which made it a good base for a two-night stay while attending a Tobias Beck seminar.

Pros: The hotel is located by the market square, which is most central with many restaurants around as well commerce. Restaurants around is less important as the hotel restaurant is very first class. This is not my first stay with Ratskeller. I have to say that they did a great job with their last renovation. I highly recommend.

Pros: We spent four night together with my wife at the hotel at Easter. We were really satisfied with the nice stuff and ample breakfast, and silent, comfortable room.
Cons: I parked in the street next to the hotel, and the right outside mirror was broken one night by somebody. I was a bit disappointed, there was no outside street camera to reconstruct what happened.

Cons: On the site it is not clear if the breakfastis included. So upon arrival they told us it is 12 euro each, quit expensive because the room was also not that cheap. The room was exact next to a busy road, lots of cars and busses driving through, we could't open the window beacuse of the noise. The extraction in the bathroom went on and on, even when the light was already of for 15 min. When we came for breakfast the white bread was finished and the scrambled eggs as well. And we were on time.

Pros: The location was perfect! Everything was in a 5 minute walk that we wanted to do. I had my 2 dogs and they set up the room with dog blankets and bowls for them.
Cons: It was not clean like in the pictures. The shower had black mold spots growing all over and the rug in the hallways was extremely stained. I did not like that there was not one central light in the room. Only small lamps so there was not much lighting when it got dark out.

Pros: I was checked into one of the recently renovated apartments. It was fantastic. Spacious, stylish, well-equipped and my only regret was that I only spent one brief night!
Cons: Very central. Be warned - you are right next to an interesting street where there is a lot of gambling and sex workers but you get that everywhere.

Pros: Unlike the" apartment" suite I previously stayed in here,the " superior double" room had an excellent bathroom,with bath. All room fittings of high standard with no silly modern fads. Perfect window/ curtain operation and fully controllable aircon. A quick trip to the bedlinen department at Karstad would earn perfect marks for comfort. Excellent breakfast and reception staff.
