Pros (+) The staff were great when one of us had quite a serious fall and upgraded her to a private hotel room from the dorm room we were in. Also great in fixing up mishaps caused by poor training.
Cons (-) Despite having paid for a private dorm room, staff tried to put another person in with us. Also reception staff didn't advise regarding availability of breakfast discounts and restaurant staff didn't ask if f we knew about them.... obviously poor training. These sorts of things shouldn't happen. Dorm rooms also need to have more than one power point for 4 people, especially given that everyone tra...

Pros (+) In one sense, it is very good, that construction and development is prohibited any further in the Uluru area, for conserving sacred Anangu land. On the other hand, it makes for a captive consumer segment, with the Pioneer lodge dormitories the only affordable option under 40 dollars in the Ayer's Rock resort complex. Everything is basic.
