You can also get a yellow identification lanyard if you have a hidden disability. The Australian airports also have excellent accessibility assistance and amenities, with full wheelchair access and personal support available. The airports in both countries have induction loops and adapted bathroom facilities. Step-free access has been ensured too.

Top tips for finding cheap flights to Australia

  • Enter your preferred departure airport and travel dates into the search form above to unlock the latest Australia flight deals.
  • You'll find cheap flights to Australia from numerous British airports. The London-based airports, Heathrow (LHR), Gatwick (LGW), Stansted (STN), and City Airport (LCY), all fly there. Otherwise you can leave from plenty of other city airports, including Manchester (MAN), Birmingham (BHX), and Edinburgh (EDI). Choose the closest to where you live.
  • Qantas has an indigenous Australian theme on its flights, so you can get an advance taste of the country's culture by booking your flight from the UK with this airline. This extends from the interior décor to the meals that you're served.
  • If you don't want to rely on public transport, you can hire a car from any one of many reputable international brands at every airport in Australia. This will save you lots of time and give you more independence. It will also help a lot if you want to drive between cities and towns.
  • Australia receives flights from the UK at many of its larger international airports, which also provide good onward connections to regional and domestic airports. For destinations in Western Australia, Perth Airport (PER) is the best airport to fly into. Brisbane Airport (BNE) and Sydney Airport (SYD) are on the east coast, while Melbourne Airport (MEL) and Adelaide Airport (ADL) are in the south east, so consider which one of these makes most sense depending on where your holiday will start. Cairns Airport (CNS) is in the north-east of the country and is a good option from the UK if you want to explore the very north of Queensland, while Darwin International Airport (DRW) services the Northern Territory.
  • If you are looking at flights to Australia so you can visit Kakadu National Park – a World Heritage site – think about flying into Darwin. This is the closest airport to Kakadu National Park and from here, you can complete your journey with a 3h road trip.
  • It is easy to exchange money in Australia. There are foreign currency counters in all the main airports, and it is also possible to use ATMs to withdraw Australian currency for your trip – please note that some of the more remote towns may not have ATMs available.
  • If you are travelling to the centre of Australia to see Ayers Rock and the surrounding area, consider flying into Sydney from the UK and booking a connecting flight to Alice Springs Airport (ASP). A direct flight takes around 3h and from there, you will need to hire a car for the 5-6h drive to Ayers Rock.
  • If you are travelling with children under the age of 7 and hiring a car to drive to and from the airport, it is mandatory to use an age-appropriate child car seat when driving in Australia. You should be able to reserve a car seat from the car hire company before you arrive. If travelling by taxi, be aware that, with the exception of New South Wales, it is not mandatory to use such a seat in a taxi, as long as the child can sit on the lap of an adult passenger in the back seat. In New South Wales, it is mandatory for children who are under a year old to be secured in some form of child car seat in a taxi, so you may want to consider bringing your seat from home.

Every thing was fine. Some ild classical Hindi movies should be add

The premium economy seats were not that great. It could have been more premium than economy seats.

People were so nice! Economy seats were small and cramped feeling for me. I’m slender and 6 feet tall

Perfect experience from boarding through to leaving the flight, comfortable and personalised service from all staff, highly recommended

Transfer within the same terminal and lots of facilities at the airport.

Due to the delay of my first flight, my connecting flight with JetBlue was canceled by Singapore Airlines, but the JetBlue crew was very accommodating and rebooked a seat for me. The crew was very nice and had good attitude.

Very slow check in. Food poor and some of the special meals offered were not available. Luggage then didnt arrive and still waiting for news 48 hours later

We were able to check in 48 hours before departure. The boarding was a breeze. The business' seat is very large with large tv screen. The lunch and dinner were excellent with selection of wines and other drinks. The seat was converted to a totally flat bed for sleeping which was very comfortable as well. We will definitely fly with Singapore Airline again in the future.

A very small gate at Singapore airport, lots of people packed into a small area…. A Petrie dish for infection. The flight was late although the captain did make up time. We had an aisle and middle economy class seat on the plane. The flight appeared to be very full. The seats were small, hard and very uncomfortable with minimal leg room. I’m a small woman and felt really cramped. My husband is a big man and stated he was unable to move at all in his seat. We were given 2 meals during the flight from Singapore to Brisbane. Our first meal was okay at best but the second meal was inedible. I think it was supposed to be veg in pastry but the pastry was full of air with minimal if any filling. The staff were pleasant and efficient. Getting off the plane went without any problems. It did take an extended period of time for our bags to come out onto the carousel. For the best ‘airline’ in the world, it was pretty poor. If Singapore is the best, what are the others like?

The experience was not as pleasant returning as leaving. Went through clearance twice, crew was not as customer focused.

Absolutely terrible delays for 3 hours changed seats after we paid an upgrade on both legs. It appears it’s up to us to request a refund after they down graded our seat. Never again !!

I was traveling business purposes and I only had one carry on and a personal computer back pack . My carry on was 8.5 kg little more than allowable. At jfk airport check in they did not let me carry it . I was little disappointed.

They had superb boarding (started an hour before flight time). Timely pushback from them gate and an early arrival. Flight and service was very comfortable. I wanted to move my flight to an earlier one, only thing was there was no one at emirates in Heathrow to help. Had to call the call the center and pay to change. There were ample seats on the flight though

Inexperienced e crew, no personal greeting for gold member, not the same emirates service that I know. I take this flight almost weekly

Lovely experience. I feel like travelling in Emirates.. The flights are always superb.Vegan food served was really good..

Quality and tasty Food and service, bigger seat comfort and leg room, etc.

Boarding was chaotic ,wish it was better orgnaised. Seating was comfortable , however food quality left much to be desired. Over all a great experience but with room for imporvement. The Dubai Delhi sector was terrible with poor seat pitch over crowded rack space , crew trying to put even laptop containing bags in to luggage even the waiting area was poorly kept - the dubai - delhi lap was extremly poor flying experience in all respects - the waiting area, the craft the seat pitch & the service quality. It is sad but this will make me look for other options when flying out of Delhi.

Premium economy on Emirate A380 is simply the best non-business class product. In fact its probably better than many business class if the seat isnt lying flat. The food and service is close to perfect!

Provide latest releases in Movies as they used to do.

Wuhan - Dubai. Old plane: 1. Only USB charger. No power outlet to plug in.. 2. Super narrow seat layout 3. Toilet cover consistently fell down and hit my back when sitting on it.. :( 4. Entertainment system touch screen not sensitive, and need to press hard or use finger tips to hit. Crew were very nice and accommodating though.

During flight, some passengers perform stomping leg exercises which disturb the comfort (I.e. sleep) of other passengers.

No good but was short flight. Both of our China Southern flights were on time. No surprises.

The flight was okay it was the kayak customer service that was poor, I have been trying to change my name on my flight ticket 3 days before my flight and nothing got done about it even tho I messaged so many times and phoned, all I got in return was that is was being processed and still to this day nothing has been done about it, I think it’s disgusting and un needed stress to the trip.

The food was perfect. The boarding process is a bit long. Given the late boarding time, I felt very tired by the time I was seated.

Quality flight from start to finish. Customer service is evidently very important to this company. The staff really exceeded expectations.

Pros: "see SH to GZ prior flight. The same."
Cons: "Same problems. Get KFC or McDonalds to cater. No one enjoys the airline's food which I suspect is prepared on a very small budget. Even a sandwich with a pre-packaged drink would elevate the foodservice."
Pros: "No..no redeeming features.."
Cons: "Coffee was the worst I've ever had. The 2+1 powdered mil and coffee stick. Truly awful. But i suppose there aren't many people on the flight who would order coffee..I would even pay extra for a coffee if they had a quality option. Food is comparable to a school canteen. I would probably pay 20rmb for this in Shanghai. Frozen butter for the half-frozen bread. They really couldn't do worse..."
Cons: "Flight was cancelled and no one new what to do. Took me 48 hours to get home"
Pros: "Seat was great. Bedding good."
Cons: "Meal service was rushed with all courses being delivered literally one after the other."

Online check-in doesn't work. That's why I couldn't give it full Star.

This is my first and last flight with Qatar because when we go for boarding pass in Delhi airport the team asked for money charging me for hand baggage which is technically including with my ticket so also we get one our temple pics I ask them to checking in but they tell me I have to pay $500 dollars for that additional which is not make sense than I diseased to throw away because I can’t take with us . For carry in beg also I pay some Indian n currency for the guy who help I already pay 6 passengers ticket cost me $8000 so really I’m not happy . PLUS MY 6 checked baggage was damaged I already claim for four beg at airport but now I’m worried about my stuff inside maybe broken too which is more expensive stuff me really bad experience

The crew was fantastic and the over flight was perfect as well.

All over with Qatar airlines my experience was really bad due to delays and then putting me on different airlines and after 8 hours of wait I had to listen to their is no plane to fly for another 24 hours. Wore experience ever.

Crews are very rude and unhelpful. Cramped seats in economy. Foods are useless

Boarding delayed, no communication. I left the lounge, and heard a final call, boarding started after a 30 minutes.

Very very poor service. Authorities must take action against this airline immediately. Total failure to follow the rules and regulations of an international airline

Boarding process was terrible. Will not travel Qatar Airways if I had an alternative. The food was one of the worst, even for airline food.

Fine. Don’t think I would fly with them again

Lovely aircraft and I flight entertainment. Good leg room. Full flight crew struggled a bit

The best so far coz this time it was all male steward on the economy cluster. They were polite, efficient & genuinely courteous. They do not judge you when you ask for more food & peanuts.

Delayed for 45 minutes. Don't know what's the issue. Other than that, food was not to my satisfaction. However it's okay.

My first course flight (Aor-Kul) was cancelled in the morning, and they asked me to board the night flight hence I need to transit overnight for the 2nd flight (Kul-Myy) that supposed to be on the same day. The overnight stay was not provided, (I'm traveling with my spouse, a daughter (5 y.o.) and an infant (2 months old). Hence I booked Sama Sama Hotel at my own expense (fortunately using my enrich miles points). Other than this issue, all services is good.

My experience with the flight was okay. My experience checking in was absolutely terrible. I was told I needed to change my e-ticket number to check in because I missed my flight in PDX. Even when shown the itinerary, they didn't budge and sent me to KLM across the airport. KLM wasn't open until 8pm and my flight was at 7:30pm. Nobody made accommodations in any way to get me to KUL. To add insult to injury, they rescheduled my flight to the very next day, creating a very long layover and did not offer any hotel stay. After this, even worse, I found out later they delayed the first 7:30pm flight to 9:10pm. Meaning, I could have still boarded but they refused to even try to get me on the plane. As a result, I missed a day of work and lost pay for the day. Also, when I went to get my luggage, it wasn't there. It was STILL in Singapore. They had from 5:30pm to 5am to get my luggage onto the plane and they still couldn't get that right. This is the worst experience I've had flying anywhere in the past decade I've been travelling.

Orange juice change to mineral water . Should keep the orange juice.

No recognition for one World Emerald member. Business class seat has flat bed

Legs space in the business class cabin is too small and pillow is dirty!

Flight from Shanghai to Kuala Luumpur delay byy 3.5hrs with no real explanation.

Cabin crew as always are leaps and bounds the crowning glory of MH. Friendliness and natural warmth are such incredible traits. Food was very good on this flight also; and flexibility in meal time to accomodate rest was a plus point. Early arrival and landing as the first morning inbound at T4 LHR meant I was off the plane and in the queue for an Uber in less than 15 minutes!

I had purchased extra leg room for all legs of the flight but due to a delay in leaving Perth I was put on another flight but with Emirates. My luggage was initially lost but later found and my suitcase was broken. I ended up losing my upgrades
