Booked a reservation but when I got to the counter I found out that there was no car available for me to rent. I also tried calling ahead to check to see if they had cars before I arrived but I could not reach anyone at the local office to verify if there was a car for me or not.Reviewed 5 Aug 2024

I had reserved a mid-size SUV. My arrival at MYR was at 5pm. there were no mid-size SUV available. I had accidentally left my phone at home in KY so needed a car with GPS. I was told by the older man manager that they did not have GPS in their cars. Except for one which was a large SUV KIA Telluride. I am a small women and did not want to drive that exceptionally large tank of a car. Finally a young woman named Melissa came to my rescue and offered to print out the directions so I could find my way to my sister's in the dark. A huge thank you to the young woman who took the time to help me ...but I still did not get the car I had reserved and had to take a smaller car that could not accommodate my ailing sister and brother-in-law, which is why I was even in MYR in the first place. Pros:The staff was very friendly and helpful and the return was easy. Thank you. We have used Alamo many times when we come to Myrtle Beach and Florida.Cons:Everything was perfect and had a very enjoyable car that was assigned to us. Pros:The car broke down and was towed, customer service made me get my own Uber, then when I got there the manager looked like he had no idea why I was there and he took forever to get me my new car, also told me they should have switched a car for me(a lot of good that was since I already came there because the customer service lady told me to). There was no way to reach the airport branch directly, that is wrong!!!!!!!!!Cons:If something happens to the car, good luck, terrible customer service.Reviewed 31 Aug 2020
