Pros: Spa facilities good
Cons: Service for food in bar - very slow
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It’s awesome
Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely position, lots of space in room. Stylish and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: No WiFi in the room and soundproofing could be an issue in coach house if you had noisier neighbours!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was beautiful lovely evening meal
Cons: Nothings all good
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was spacious, beautifully furnished and decorated, spotlessly clean, well-equipped and luxurious. The hotel overall was quiet and peaceful, the service provided by staff was prompt, professional and friendly, the food superb and the whole ambience pleasant and tranquil. The crowning glory was the pool and spa facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning. My only criticism was the foldaway bed which was so uncomfortable due to being old and broken that it could not be slept on.
Cons: The foldaway z-bed provided for my ten year old daughter was old, broken and so uncomfortable as to be impossible for anyone to sleep on. In the end I took the mattress off and slept on the floor and my daughter slept in the four-poster bed with my husband otherwise she would have had no sleep at all. Considering the cost of this foldaway bed is £25 per night it should really be of better quality.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location hotel it's self is amazing and the spa facilities were brilliant all the staff were all so lovely and helpful and friendly. Can't wait to go again. It is also dog friendly too
Cons: The food in the restaurant on an evening was amazing and lovely but very expensive and felt there could be more variation but that's just me being picky other than that no complaints at all.
7.0 Good
Cons: More choice for dinner and not to be rushed
10.0 Excellent

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Owners and staff very friendly Good cooked breakfasts Comfortable beds
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place, so interesting. As we were the only guests on our last morning, Peter set up a table by the fire for our breakfast. What an interesting man, he’s very knowledgeable and recommended places we hadn’t seen before. Really welcoming, we had a lovely room with such a comfy bed. Couldn’t fault it and would love to stay again
7.0 Good
Pros: We loved the farmhouse and the vintage feel that has been kept throughout the years whilst maintaining modernity. Our room (Dovecote) was quaint and sweet and was perfect for a one-night stay. The continental breakfast in the morning was simple and tasty. We had an early start so being able to leave our room key and head off was very handy!
Cons: Unfortunately the bed wasn't the comfiest so we had a slightly restless sleep, but we took this with the pleasure of having a vintage bed!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really pretty and cosy place, loads of character, open fire in the lounge was gorgeous! The owners were so welcoming and lovely, wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if in area.
Cons: Nothing!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent homely feel. Peter was a great host, gave us good recommendations on what to do. Would definitely stay again. Very short drive into Alnwick

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location Warm Free Car Parking
5.0 Okay
Cons: Evening meal was not properly cooked (Fish over friend, peas al dente chips hard) Room far to hot (unable to regulate temperature). Due to virus, town was a ghost town. No historic facilities open and when forced to cancel the last day due to the virus were forced to pay for the unused day in any event.
7.9 Good
Pros: Right in the centre of town good view of castle from bedroom window. Free parking. Beautiful historic dinning room
Cons: Bedroom smelt of paint
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room far exceeded my expectations in cleanliness, facilities and general decor etc. Location and local amenities were what we expected. Evening meal and breakfast was outstanding. The RMS Olympic Suite, which was the main reason for our visit made it the “Hotel of Dreams”. We thought the White Star Line headed and dated menu card similar to those used on White Star Liners was a very nice touch.
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: EXcellent location for visiting Al wick and close to hospital as we were visiting a sick relative. Lovely evening meal & breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful
Cons: Shower wasn’t good to alter temper as it was very hot, staff were going to look into. Window sills in Olympic restaurant need a good clean, just a bit dusty.

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Uncomfortable bed. Luke warm shower

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Character property, staff were really helpful
Cons: Nothing
2.9 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing. We did like the sun inn pub down the road which is where we should of gone.
Cons: On arrival what seamed to be the one member of staff appeared unkempt. And the hotel was dirty , uninviting and stunk . And our patterdale terrier indicated to us that there maybe a rodent problem by trying to get behind the Panel on the walls and the fireplace. When we asked about breakfast we were told there's cereal you can help yourself too. There wasn't one single staff member around at 8.30 so we left . Also we had no hot water so neither of us had a wash or a shower . And to be charged £15. For 2 pints of John Smith's out of a can and 1 glass of rose wine is extortionate. We will not be returning and will be putting on trip advisor . And before I forget mucky towels left in the corridor ! Its supposed to be one of the spookiest hotels in Britain yet we were the only ones there and infact I think the said ghosts had done a runner !
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing!!
Cons: Everything
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The friendly staff. The Indian food was amazing, best I've tasted in a long time
Cons: It is in need for repair however the owner's are working on it.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Being out of season, there were few guests. It's a lovely old building with lots of original features including an old plumbing system. Since there were not many guests using the hot water it took several minutes to travel to our room heating the cold pipes en route. Once the hot water was there, the newly refurbed en suite gave my wife the best shower she had ever had. She loved it. So for a shower, be patient, allow time for the old plumbing and it will be worth the wait!! This issue would not have arisen if the hotel was full and lots of guests were already drawing hot water around the building.
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: Since our last visit a couple of years ago the downstairs of the hotel has been updated and looks lovely. They are in the process of renovating the hotel and a number of the bedrooms have been refurbished and the bathrooms particularly are really nice and modern. The owner and staff remembered us and it is always nice to be made to feel welcome.
Cons: We look forward to visiting again when the rest of the rooms will be finished and little snagging things will all be sorted and more staff can be employed to help the manager cope with and be able to provide good customer service. The Indian food was absolutley lovely though we both still felt hungary after the meal.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Friendly
Cons: No hot water in shower Nobody there on arrival took 30 mins to get in
5.0 Okay
Pros: The proprietor was friendly. The bedroom was warm and the shower was good as was our evening meal and the wine.
Cons: The room was comfortable but cramped. The ensuite bathroom was new with a very good shower but also a little cramped. We had a very good curry In the evening but the place was cold although our bedroom was warm. The décor was a little slapdash in places. The breakfast was seriously overpriced with not even proper coffee which we had to help ourselves from horrid little sachets which we expected in our room but not for a paid breakfast.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Being out of season it was quiet so the old plumbing system took several minutes to deliver hot water to the shower but once it got hot it was terrific.
Cons: .

Pros: Very good breakfast, excellent service. Comfortable bed. Room clean and tidy with coffee making facilities and flat screen TV. Plenty of hot water, large bathroom.

Pros: Very spacious room
Cons: Close to amenities
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was excellent and staff attentive and welcoming.
Cons: Shower was found to be low pressure and temperature was hard to manage.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Food, both breakfast and evening meal ,were cooked to perfection, service was fast and efficient, staff were very friendly and attentive without being overpowering. The room we stayed in was a little on the small side but was clean and well set out with normal services . We looked at a room that had been recently refurbished and it was larger and would have been a little more comfortable, but as we could only stay for 2 nights ours was good.
Cons: To be really honest, for the price we paid, including breakfast and evening meals, I find it hard to find fault. I have paid a lot more at other Hotels and have received poorer service, from miserable staff, and almost inedible food. So I will not try to find fault.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Spacious room Large bathroom Comfortable bed Good location for what we needed Nice bar Delicious breakfast Friendly polite staff Free onsite parking
Cons: Little noisey with people walking around. Walls possibly a little thin. Room was a little dark with the lights on. The girlfriend said not good for make up :). Room and hotel was excellent though.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Breakfast included in the price was good, tea and coffee facilities in the room was nice.
Cons: Needs updating! The rooms had so many bits that needed fixing and updating. It wasn’t that clean and the windows were terrible. Really draughty and the traffic noise was really bad. Could do with black out curtains too. I didn’t like the greeting or when we wanted a drink they seemed to have ran out of a lot of what was in draught.
