Pros: My wife and I make a great craft cocktail every night and when we travel it's something we look for a truly appreciate.
Merlijn (impossible to pronounce correctly), the head bartender at the brasserie in the hotel is simply, the best. Specific pointer, his Vesper is the best Vesper cocktail we've ever had.

Pros: The hotel has a trendy, designy look and staff seemed friendly enough. There's a neat garden in the back and a they have a cozy lounge with descent drinks.
Cons: I had high hopes for this property upon arrival, but overall was let down.
I had the hotel dry clean three silk items, all of which were ruined. It took me over a week to get them to resolve it and in the end, they only paid out 75% of the replacement cost.
We were put in a disabled accessible room located right by the elevator (despite not requesting an accessible room). It was loud, the accessible shower allowed water to get all over the bathroom floor. The vanity outlet in the bathroom wouldn't work and it took them coming out two times to fix it, leaving me unable to do my hair both mornings we were there.
Upon arrival, the woman who greeted us (and was apparently training) said that welcome drinks were complimentary for guests. When the man training her joined her to do our check-in in the lounge, he asked if we were in town for anything special. I mentioned it was for my husband's birthday weekend and he offered to "cover our drinks." This seemed odd given the woman had just told us they were complimentary. Not sure if he was being underhanded or if the woman training was just mistaken. The whole thing struck me as odd.
Pros: Location is great. 24 hour food served in the restaurant/bar is most helpful and was very tasty. Roooms modern, great powerful rain shower. Would recommend a canal view room.
Cons: Asked for a toothbrush, it never arrived. Several plug sockets in the room didn't work. Spa is very basic, only a sauna available. Breakfast was a bit chaotic with food arranged around an open kitchen - needs improvement.
Pros: amazing interior with best in class everything

Pros: The hotel and my room were nice. The staff is excellent, helpful and accommodating. I had a very pleasant stay here.
Cons: The hotel is a good distance from the city center. I think I remember reading ~ a 30 minute walk but it was more like ~50 minutes. Using public transportation, Ubers or taxis is a must.
Pros: Friendliness of staff.
Cons: Flexibility of staff. Overall standards do not meet Okura Tokyo.

Pros: I was thrilled at the convenience of walking to and from the airport! Front desk receptionists were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this hotel and return when I'm back in Holland.
Pros: The hotel is a mere 10 minutes stroll from the main terminal. The included breakfast was excellent. The room was larger than expected (By European standards). Everything was super clean and plenty of amenities. I highly recommend.
Pros: Location, cleanliness and the man that drove the van to the airport was incredibly professional, friendly and helpful.
Cons: I wasn't able to get the room temperature down as low as I would have liked using the room thermostat in room 330. It was too hot in my room.
Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is unlike many other airport hotels. Visionary and inspirational, its breathtaking design redefines what an airport hotel should be. The hotel’s seemingly endless geometric façade and vast, open lobby is a fitting welcome to the level of outstanding service. Directly connected to the international airport terminal of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol via a covered walkway the hotel is an ideal base for guests catching a flight or visiting the cosmopolitan city of Amsterdam. The railway station inside the terminal provides easy access to the city center in just 15 minutes. The stylish guest rooms boast unique diamond-shaped windows, curved walls and Dutch art. Work comfortably at the ergonomic desk, check your emails with complimentary WiFi and refresh in the spacious bathroom. Upgrade to an executive room or suite for Executive Lounge access. Fresh, bold and surprising are worthy descriptions for the modern Bowery Restaurant with three open kitchens offering Asian & Grill dishes, the stylish Axis Lobby & Cocktail Bar with a wide selection of gins and jenevers and the rejuvenating eforea spa featuring a whirlpool, sauna and steam room. The first and second floors of this hotel function as an extensive meeting and conference center. It offers 1800 sq. m. of naturally lit flexible event space including a grand pillar less ballroom.
Pros: The staff are fabulous! Hotel has wonderful history. It was the home of Rembrandt's Nightwatch. The location is very central to all Amsterdam sites. The breakfast is incredible. It is one of the best places I have ever stayed!
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Facilites, Cleanliness
Pros: The hotel was nice and the rooms were well sized. Can't really complain. Great location and price for the time of year. Bathrooms and beds were clean.
Cons: We did have to do some rearranging of the furniture to get some more space between my friend and I, and ended up finding a large amount of dust under the TV stand. Lift was out of order.
Cons: Rooms are far too small for that price. Poor furnishings, tiny bathroom, no concierge, place is in dire need of an update
One of Amsterdam’s oldest and finest 5-star hotels, NH Collection Amsterdam Doelen was recently renovated in 2015. During the past three centuries, Empress Elisabeth of Austria and the Beatles have taken rooms here. Located in the heart of the city, the hotel is close to Dam Square, the Anne Frank House, canal boats, the Heineken Brewery and the Van Gogh Museum. It is also only a short walk to the shopping district, bars and restaurants. The 85 refurbished rooms are designed in classical tones with red and gold accents. They let in natural light through large windows and many look out over the Amstel river. For guests’ comfort, there are premium mattresses, pillow menus, rain-effect showers and Nespresso machines in each room. Fresh breakfast is served daily, featuring a large spread that includes local specialty dishes, gluten-free options and dishes made-to-order. For a true gastronomical experience head to Restaurant Swych. This fine-dining gem is led by Chef Rudolf Brand. With the menu revolving around the freshest herbs and vegetables and as a side dish, order some meat or fish. If you prefer to stay in, you may also use the 24-hour room service. The hotel has a gym, free Wi-Fi and beautiful summer terrace.
Pros: clean room, big comfy bed, friendly staff, AC, but the main reason that we stayed at this hotel was the walking distance to the Airport and Train connection to the city center.
Cons: Rooms are tiny and the Shower & toilet look like they belong on Star Ship Enterprise ( beam me up Scotty ) Lol The toilet had no Fan which it needed since the room is so tiny :( There is No parking at the Hotel still we would stay there again due to the walking distance to & from the Airport.
Pros: I love the iPad-centric room controls. Great selection of newly released movies. Comfortable bed with a great TV setup.
Cons: Temperature controls don't work very well - the room gets very cold at night even though I set the temperature to 70 Fahrenheit.
The toilet and shower design are fun and just fine for a single traveler. When traveling with a partner, there "tube" designs dont provide any privacy, especially for the toilet. Perhaps adding a fan or some ambient noise to drown out toilet noises could help keep the mood romantic, hahaha!
Pros: Bed was very comfortable. Very avant-garde. Mood lights, TV, everything can be controlled by the in room iPad.
Bar and areas downstairs provide all kinds of environments for different people and activities.
Buffet was good and reasonable.
Cons: Charging 3 euro to use a major credit card.
Pros: The check in time
Cons: No place for suitcase
Cons: Too small
Pros: A good idea for an airport hotel. Almost like a hostel. Real service even though there is simplified check in and check out. Well thought out room and superior amenities on the main floor. I recommend this for an surprised overnight.
Cons: No provision for luggage.
Pros: Efficiency, comfort.
Cons: nothing. it was perfect.
Pros: We spent a night here in transit between Brussels and Den Haag.
Walking distance from Schiphol Plaza.
Self check-in and check-out feature was very convenient.
Room decor was modern. All room light/tv/blinds were controlled with an ipad. WiFi was great. TV had a good selection of channels (for us- we watched comedy central).
We got to store our luggage for a few hours after checking out which was extremely convenient.
Hotel manager was excellent.
Cons: There was a leak with our shower, which actually made it unclear how the thing worked! So we wasted almost an hour in the morning. The hotel manager was EXTREMELY helpful... wish we'd asked him for assistance immediately!
Pros: Clean comfy room, great common areas, makes you feel at home. Will definitely stay here again. 5 minute walk to the airport, no need for taxi or shuttle
Pros: Free TV & Movies
Cons: Shower & Toilet in the room with transparent enclosure - not for the shy.
Pros: Very nice shower. Clean, trendy room. Very unique.
Cons: Room was small. Room Controls for lights, heat, etc did not work well.
Pros: Self check-in / check-out are a breeze. The rooms are clean and stylish (in a minimalist, ultramodern way). The wi-fi is excellent. Free on-demand films. The hotel is quiet, and it is conveniently located next to the airport. Free luggage storage was a nice perk, giving me the chance to take the train into Amsterdam and see a bit of the city before returning to Schiphol for my onward flight.
Cons: The shower handles are very difficult to turn with wet hands, and I need to cover them eith a hand towel to get enough grip to turn them. The breakfast offerings are mediocre and breakfast is terribly overpriced. On past visits, I went ahead and paid the price, but this time I just walked to the airport and bought myself similar breakfast items for a third of the cost. The selection of TV channels could be improved.
Situated near the airport, this hotel is within 9 mi (15 km) of World Fashion Centre, Stedelijk Museum, and Van Gogh Museum. Concertgebouw and Leidseplein are also within 9 mi (15 km).
Pros: Buffet breakfast included. Evening dinner selection is limited but still ok. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Shuttle bus to airport is quick, approx 10 mins to airport
Cons: Limited dinner menu. Shower water pressure not good. Shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes so check timing to make sure you make it to the airport on time. Shuttle bus pick up is separate from other hotels. Pick up at STA office near Starbucks arrival 4 section. Not a criticism but not obvious location.
Pros: Shuttle service was well organized and worked well
Cons: Dining here is very expensive and service for dinner was 'if you must I will'
Cons: My room was cleaned at 5pm instead of in the morning
The Hyatt Place is situated only 5 Km from Schiphol Airport Amsterdam. The hotel is close to both the city centres of Amsterdam and Haarlem, which offer interesting musea, site seeing, restaurants and shopping areas. The surroundings of the hotel offer several recreation sights like golfcourses, tennisclubs and spa's.
Pros: Location is very good. In the heart of the city. Few minutes walk from the dam square.
Breakfast is very good and not too expensive.
Cons: Air condition is not working in the room.
Business rooms are in another building across the street.
Rooms are small and not too comfortable.
Parking costs 55 euros per day
The room is expensive comparing to any other such an hotel in Europe. I was expecting much more...
Pros: The business suite was very nice: great bedding, spacious. The staff were helpful. The lobby had electrical and usb outlets.
Cons: My room was in a construction zone accessible only by stairs!! And construction resumed right outside in the morning. They shouldn't put people there, or should start construction later in the day.
I also found it a little odd that there would be no usb jack in a business suite.
Pros: Superb location, friendly and attentive staff, clean and comfortable. A very good value.
Pros: People at frontera desk were really helpful, nice bar área rooms are modern and comfortable
Pros: Gorgeous interior in the heart of the old city. Breakfast was incredible and sumptuous. Staff are warm, friendly, and attentive. Location is fantastic.
Cons: 1. Heating was a major problem.
2. Parking is a nightmare.
3. Shower hot water not as hot as it should be.
4. Complimentary coffee in the lobby area is absent, though one can pay EUR 2-2.50 for a cup. Should be gratis.
Once this is attended to, this will be able to achieve deserved greatness.
2015-2017 TripAdvisor Hall of Fame-Certificate of Excellence Opened in 1990, the Radisson Blu is made up of several renovated 18th-century merchant houses, a mill and a vicarage, all connected by a modern, glass atrium lobby. There are also 9 state-of-the-art function rooms with all facilities to make your meeting successful, 252 rooms and suites, a cosy bar and a nice restaurant. Free wireless Internet throughout the hotel. Monitors at the hotel entrance show real-time airport departure information.
Pros: Loved everything.perfect for young travelers. Lovely hosts!
Pros: Bar and eating area were cool to hang and chill. The beds were a bit firm but I did not mind. Having to keep riding the ferry was a bit much but if you factor that into your commute you should be good. Currently there is a ton of construction on all sides which hindered me finding it the first time but once I found the bridge I was good.
ClinkNOORD - Hostel puts you within a 15-minute drive of Nemo Science Museum and Hortus Botanicus. You can unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge, and the restaurant is the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat. Also, Stopera and National Maritime Museum are within a short drive.
Pros: We spent four full days traveling the area. The room where spacious, clean, and comfortable. This hotel was right next to the train station and bus line and provide direct access to all the popular areas in less than 30 minutes. The staff provided excellent customer service and were extremely helpful in helping my family navigate the transportation system.
Cons: Paying for parking was a challenge. It would be nice if the hotel partnered with the parking garage company so that all transactions could take place within the hotel during check out.
Pros: Green roof, green spaces, many dining options, areas for both kids and adults to frolic, close to rail station.
Cons: Elevators slightly cramped

Pros: five minutes walk from terminal
clean, modern, comfortable
easy trip into Amsterday
Cons: mattress too soft
stall shower very tiny and congested
Pros: Proximity to the terminal perfect
Cons: I miss a water kettle and coffee tea in the room. Coffee station on the floor is nice but I prefer my own. Hilton for the win on that one with a nespresso machine in each room.
The Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel and Conference Center is directly attached to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS), offering convenient access to its terminals, shopping and dining destinations within Schiphol Plaza, and public transit to the city center. Pros: Room in renovated wing was close to street and loud but gave an excellent people watching view
Pros: The location is very central making it easy to get anywhere. breakfast is in a gorgeous winter garden-type room and the selection is very diverse. Staff were always helpful and accomodating.
Cons: I was on the first floor and there didn't seem to be a staircase that I could take to go one flight of stairs. It was annoying always having to wait for the elevator (which was insanely crowded) for such a tiny distance. Also, no gym which I expect in a hotel of this size and class.
Cons: המלון עובר שיפוץ בלובי שלא ידענו בעת ההזמנה, אני חושב שזה פרט חשוב לדעת בעת ההזמנה, זה לא היה קריטי אבל רלוונטי. 25-5-2015

Pros: Proximity to airport with good free shuttle service
Central for short visit to Amsterdam and Keukenhof Gardens
Room well decorated, spacious with small balcony
Friendly yet busy Reception
Excellent breakfast offer
Cons: Positioned alongside motorway services and on flight path at times but noise was minimal.
Poor air conditioning - rooms too hot!
Pros: Good price- bus to airport was very convenient and free. Good deal for price.
Cons: Hotel hallways (and to some extent the room) smelled like weed and cigarettes. Budget rooms were very outdated and didn't feel very clean.
Pros: very well
Pros: After encountering one of Europe's worst heat waves, this was a pleasant surprise. The a/c was ice cold; the rooms were perfect for my family (individual beds); breakfast was more than adequate; and the hotel's restaurant had excellent dishes. I sincerely enjoyed my three day stay. I will come again.
Pros: We stayed here two days(not consecutive) and the hotel was very nice! The first night we stayed we had a great room, it must have just been re done. The bathroom was amazing with a huge tub and a separate shower with a rainfall shower head! The room was huge and very clean! It was decorated very nicely! The staff was very nice and helpful! There was a balcony which was a plus. They had a shuttle that took you to and from the airport which was very convienent because the hotel is definitely in the middle of no where!
Cons: If your looking for a place to experience Amsterdam this would not be it! The hotel is basically in the middle of no where but they do have a shuttle that runs every 40 minutes that takes you to the airport where you can get on the train and be down to Amsterdam in about 20 min. The first time we stayed here we had a great room, it was beautiful! The second time we stayed there the room was much less then what we were expecting! There wasn't anything wrong with it but I guess we just got out in the older part of the hotel that time!
Pros: Restaurant was very good, bar staff very attentive, facilities very clean.
Cons: Not a thing
Cons: Front desk staff attitude. Stayed there >5 times. Never had staff refer to my being a regular customer. I had just arrived from a long flight and had to wait in foyer for a room. Too much luggage to safely carry 'down' to storage area myself. Staff wouldn't hold even one piece behind the counter. I was a woman travelling alone so not at all considerate as I couldn't even visit the bathroom!
Staff also eager to suggest only most expensive suites available when this was not strictly true, on a previous stay with no prior booking.
Good reason to book before going!
Other than one male front desk staff, most times front desk staff seemed high-handed and rather unfriendly.
Shame because hotel is convenient and the food is great!

Pros: It's right next to the train station. I didn't hear any trains at all through the windows. Trains to the airport leave every 15-20 minutes, and Amsterdam Centraal is one stop down as well. It's close enough to the city, but far enough for some quiet time when you want it.
Cons: The location is a bit outside of the heart of Amsterdam, but that can be good if you're tired of all the sound and lights.

Pros: There is a beautiful forest a few blocks away. The hotel has bikes for rent so a person can either ride through the beautiful forest or walk. There are many paths.
Cons: It is a very full hotel so I had to wait from 9 am until 12:30 pm to get into a room. Check in is officially 2 pm, but I was willing to pay extra since I had flown all night. There simply was not a clean available room until 12:30 pm. Understandable but unfortunate.
Pros: Great hotel close to Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport with a free shuttle to and from the airport. Beautiful rooms and the most luxurious comforatble bed for the waety traveler. Very expansive breakfast.
Cons: Breakfast cost is expensive - 55 Euro for a couple is dear
Pros: Ease of travelling to airport, friendly staff, Professional staff, clean rooms!
Cons: Wish the breakfast buffet wasn't so pricey
Pros: The shuttle service when it was on schedule and could transport everyone desiring a ride to/from hotel to airport terminals and the few staff that were on duty ...usually weekdays
Cons: Spotty shuttle service on Weekends due to mismanaging the requirement to transport many guests. I waited 90 minutes for the shuttle that transports folks every 30 minutes and after the third missed shuttle because there were more folks than seats, I spent 30$ on a taxi to "shuttle" me a few miles to the airport hotel....all this after calling them and they said they'd provide a ride - never happened so that's how I waited 90 minutes versus half that time before taking a taxi ....seemed understaffed
Pros: Wonderful airport hotel. Close to airport, with frequent shuttles to and from the airport. Very convenient for the night before we left!
Pros: room size
Cons: too long to get to central amsterdam. always shuttle and then train from airport to central. need train near hotel. also shuttle shuts off after 12 so I had to pay cab fare twice. also breakfast is super expensive.
Pros: Wonderful facility.
Cons: Expensive food.
Pros: I left my purse in the restaurant during breakfast. My husband ran back to get it 2 hours later, the waiter remembered him and had my purse safe and sound with everything in it. He was very nice!!!
Pros: Beds we SO comfortable!
Cons: Hotel food and drinks were quite expensive.
Pros: great value for money
Pros: Clean and spacious
Cons: Things felt a little cheaply made.

Pros: We've been traveling to different parts of Europe and the Park hotel had the most comfortable bed we slept on during our travels. The location is absolutely perfect. Max 10-15 minute walk to most attractions.. Anne Frank House, red light district, museums, casinos, cafes, parks.. Most were only 5 minutes away.
Pros: Next door to museums and across the street from canal, cruises and casino
Very helpful and professional staff and excellent restaurant on site (MOMO).
Clean, well appointed room of adequate size.
Cons: Road traffic could be heard but not a significant negative
Pros: The location is perfect. We recieved a warm welcome upon arrival, and was please try suprised at the accomodations. The bed was very comfortable, view perfect, and the room size would meet or exceed any standards. Literally the best location for a brief walk to vo delpark, museums, de hallen, red light district, and tram stops.
Cons: There is no pool, but for us we didn't care. The lobby was warm, as is standard in most of holland, but rooms are well air conditioned.
Pros: Cleaning staff was nice.
Cons: Water leaked from my ceiling onto me in the middle of the night. managenent was totally unhelpful.
Pros: Location and staff were great. Breakfast although pricey was huge! Very decent! Very clean and comfy bed. Room was modern although the "non-divided"/private bathroom may be an issue to non-couples.
Cons: Some of the toiletries where empty.
Pros: - Proximity to Amsterdam's famous museums
- Comfort of the bed
- Size of the bathroom (we got a handicapped room)
- Availability of luxurious toiletries
- Clean, well-kept rooms
- Friendly staff
- DELICIOUS hot chocolate
- Free, reliable wifi
Cons: - Room itself was a little small
- Cleaning staff arrived at 8am
Pros: From a tourist perspective the location of this hotel is very good indeed, it is just metres from the great galleries and Vondel Park, and close to Jordaan. The #197 trolley bus around the corner opposite the Van Gogh museum takes you to Schiphol in 30 minutes for 5 euro (pay as you get on), every 1/4 hour, and trams #2 and #5 take you to the main railway station.
Despite being on the relatively busy Stadhoudekade street, the hotel is quiet. The rooms are clean, very comfortable, slightly but not overly cramped, idiosyncratic in design, with air conditioning that works.
The staff are intelligently helpful, switched on, and very pleasant. I think that is a Dutch thing anyway.
I took the 'with breakfast' option. I recommend it.
All this comes in at about $210/night per room including taxes. There are plenty of cheaper places around but if you are in Amsterdam for a couple of days and want a faultless, quiet, reliable, central place to stay, this is a good candidate to consider, and worth the money if you have it.
Cons: The only thing that I wasn't keen on was the Momo restaurant that is attached to the hotel. It is a Sushi only restaurant, so if Sushi is not what you want, too bad. We ate there one evening and while the Sushi itself was no doubt excellent, it was expensive for what it was - as in my opinion Sushi tends to be. If you like a rank of chefs attending minutely to each bite, and lots of pretty waitresses regularly asking if you need anything, or don't really mind about the cost, that's fine, enjoy it and pony up liberally at the end. Otherwise, don't come to this place too hungry, or with kids, this one is for the up-market purists. There are better places nearby, serving quality food of other types for quite a lot less.
Pros: Location is great.
Standard rooms are a bit small but great for a couple.
Staff is very professional.
Concierge is great with recommendations
This hotel is in several traditionally-Dutch, canalside properties and is set in the centre of Amsterdam, 300 metres from Van Gogh Museum and the nightlife of the Leidseplein.
Pros: Accommodating front desk and housekeeping quickly removed feathers from room. Large towels and v clean and bright
Cons: Not really a negative just common sense - allow plenty of time for airport shuttle particularly in morning - up to an hour. Could take less time but not worth stressing particularly if flying to USA with additional security clearances.
Pros: Good service, very nice free breakfast! Very helpful with lost luggage at airport
Cons: Stay was not long enough!
Pros: -Nice hotel with a clean room, comfortable bed, and well-appointed bathroom.
-The breakfast spread(not always included in the price, I understood) was very good.
-The shuttle service is convenient (if you can find seat in one TO the hotel, that is; no problems FROM the hotel to airport). This is important because there is nothing, literally nothing, near the hotel and it is about 15 minutes ride to/from the airport.
The restaurant was good but has practically no options for a vegetarian meal (surprising since vegetarian choices appear to be becoming quite common at most good Dutch restaurants).
The front-desk staff was generally polite and responsive.
Cons: -They share the shuttle service with another hotel AND a few parking lots. As a result, there is always a large crowd waiting at the airport. The problem was further exacerbated by one of the shuttles being a small van.
-The driver of the shuttle (the large one) on the day of my arrival was extremely rude--he shut the door in the face of a young lady who was trying to enquire about when the shuttle was supposed to leave the hotel It didn't and took the Etihad crew to the airport instead). I felt bad enough about it that I went back into the hotel and reported this to the front desk (the Manager was "not available" to speak with me); have no idea what, if any action was taken against the driver.
-The next morning, the hot water heater was not working, making it impossible for the guests, many of whom had to catch morning flights, to take showers.
Pros: Breakfast was awesome! Very good food and clean. The room was very spacious and gym was clean.
2015-2017 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence winner Modern 4-star hotel is centrally located in the green surroundings of the business park area of Schiphol-Rijk, only a 10 minutes drive from Schiphol International Airport, 20 minutes from the heart of Amsterdam and 25 minutes away from the beach.
Pros: The building itself was lovely, very gothic with a cozy feel. The breakfast was excellent, make sure you get it included in your original price. The spa was nice and the staff was extremely helpful. We rented bikes from the hotel for a day and they were very good rides, better than our bikes at home! The mini bar is stocked daily and is FREE! We kept drinking our mini wines in the double bath tub every night. Great location, across the canal from central station. A great choice for our honeymoon stay.
Cons: Our room was on the first floor, so keeping the windows open at night for a breeze did not work out as the street noise was too loud. Our last night we noticed a small visitor in our room, a mouse, who was persistent and did not want to leave. It was our last night so we just said our goodnight to our guest and slept, it's an old building so I don't think it is an "infestation" but rather something that comes with staying in an old, large building.
Pros: Great location, friendly staff
Cons: The room was incredibly stuffy as there was no A/C. We couldn't open the windows at night because the building construction next door started promptly at 7 am and the noise was unbearable with the windows open. Would never had booked here if I knew I would get about 2 hrs of sleep per night. The price was decent but now I know why!
Pros: Close to everything including ships
Pros: Unique hotel
Pros: The Hotel Amrath is a jewel among luxury hotels--beautiful architecture inside and out; clean, spacious comfortable rooms; great accommodating staff; and centrally located so one can walk everywhere. Don't miss the gorgeous pool and spa.
Pros: A different and positive Amsterdam experience. Great location and facilities.
Pros: The building is an antique that seems to recently been rejuvenated. It's important to keep this in mind when coming here, because the place is not a modern hotel, and so some modern things may be missing. For example, the elevators could be quite awkward and I cannot imagine how the floors are handicap accessible. That said, the bathrooms were brand new and quite nice. And finally, they throw in a full, FREE mini-bar.
Cons: It's a bit expensive, and going up and down stairs can be annoying with luggage.
This hotel, built in 1912, is located in the monumental Scheepvaarthuis and adjacent to the harbour. Nieuwmarkt Square and the Public Library are nearby and Central Station is 500 meters away.
