Pros: I return to this hotel every year - partly because of its closeness to Fiumicino and, thus, to the airport, but mostly because of the kindness, courtesy and professionalism of its staff. Peaceful, slightly quirky, it has character and soul and beauty. I could not end my holidays in the countryside in Italy anywhere else. Moreover, as a single female traveller, I have always been treated as an 'equal' - not as a lesser person, which can sometimes happen in my travels elsewhere.

Cons: Nothing not to like.

Pros: It is an oasis of silence and relaxation in a green lush vegetation. Great experience. We liked that there are not too many rooms, it has a quite large garden, very nice swimming pool. Also the tennis court looked good. Breakfast outside on the terrace was a nice start into the day. Staff was very nice, relaxed.

Cons: Everything was great. We were happy that we rented a small car as the parking can be a nice challenge :-). There are quite some spaces for parking but be ready to park on a quite narrow and (a bit) steep road.

Pros: Very warm welcome on arrival, once through the automatic gate. Being able to enjoy a relaxed breakfast outside is always a treat. Arranging for a very early departure was easy. Taking over the whole dining room each day, to be able to use the wi-fi for both work and personal 'catching up' was a godsend & very kind of the owners

Cons: Very unusually for BnB guests, one of our party was officiating at a nearby venue and so had to leave before dawn (and breakfast) returning after dusk in the evening. The one thing we missed was being able to make a quick cup of instant coffee (not very Italian) first thing in the morning (fortunately we had experienced this challenge before and had our 'spare' instant coffee sachets to hand, so were able to over come this tiny obstacle)

Pros: Good location near the castle, Lidl supermarket and lake.

Cons: Air conditioner is noisy. The second bed is not comfortable.

Pros: Great reception, nice people. Room was preheated, breakfast normal italian, great coffee machine, very quiet en nice terrace, too cold for the garden but looked great! Easy accessible from Bracciano and surroundings

Pros: Lovely farm stay. Only 5min drive from town centre. Our room was clean and spacious with high beamed ceiling, huge bed and a colour changing bath with cascading waterfall instead of taps.

Pros: Great staff, food was of good quality and fresh.

Cons: Not much to see, apart from the lake.

Pros: excellent location for those travelling to anguillara/lago di bracciano by train as the hotel is less than 5 minutes' walk from the station. large rooms and the hotel has a spacious airy feel about it and nothing feels remotely pokey like many b&bs.

Cons: anguillara itself does stretch quite a bit south from the lakeshore and the walled old town, so if you're staying in this hotel then you're quite some bit away from there and would need to catch the bus (which runs very frequently) to get to the nice/scenic parts. but the bus stop is right outside the hotel and only takes about 10-15 minutes (subject to traffic) to get to the historic centro.

Pros: The Massimino is an exceptionally nice hotel with an air of quality and style that belies its three stars. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean and there is a very good (very Italian) restaurant. Octavio the Proprietor and the other members of staff (mostly family) could not have been more friendly, helpful and welcoming. The location (about 3km from the lake) is not a problem. Octavio was happy to take us in the hotel minibus but there is also a frequent (and cheap) bus service. The proximity to the station is a bonus.

Cons: The selection of white wine in the restaurant was very limited but hey, it's an Italian restaurant - what do they care about white wine!

Pros: I rented this spot for my friends that were visiting for my wedding. They said it was very nice. When I visited the property to pay beforehand, I met the owner, Vittorio. He was very friendly and offered me a coffee while I paid for the room.

Pros: Perfect for my two teenage boys to stay here in town enjoying the social scene while their grandparents stayed with us at our rented villa. Good basic accomodation with the added bonus of a simple breakfast included that could be taken at any time ( Good for teenagers who are not renowned for getting up early ! )

Cons: Originally booked with the intention of having the grandparents stay there, but they would not have managed the stairs. ( Though there is a stair lift )

Cons: Host told us we could not use the second bed even though we had requested two beds. I was traveling with my adult daughter!!!! It was very uncomfortable for an adult girl and her Father to sleep in the same bed (even though it was a King size bed) When the reservation was made and paid for we were supposed to have two separate beds!!!!! Also, Other renters had several men there at dinner table smoking in common area just outside our room. We could not escape the stink of the smoke!!!!

Pros: Very nice Appartment, lovely owner lady and ... Biaggio, the Dog. Apart this excellent location.

Pros: We enjoyed the house , it has an interesting artist and decor and it was nice to stay there. We were well looked after and it’s a great location , great price and we enjoyed our stay.

Pros: Rooms were clean, gardens were beautiful, scenery was amazing. Staff couldn't do anymore to help.

Pros: The house is in the country and has a lovely view of the lake, rooms are spacious and breakfast was good.

Cons: One of us had skin problems next morning which looked very much like bed bugs and made his back really sore for about a week - we cannot be sure the problem is with the bed, it definitely may be a coincidence. Also, the price we were charged upon arrival turned out to be about 20% higher than the price at which we booked the rooms, so something must be wrong with the booking system.

Pros: Comfy bed, very clean, good size room, air con. Close to shops & rail station with easy access to Rome. The pool was brilliant to come back to after a day out. Bracciano lake and castle worth a visit.

Pros: Being by the lake was wonderful, it really is a beautiful place. The breakfast buffet was great and the restaurant nearby served wonderful fresh food.

Cons: Felt like a budget hotel, a bit too far to walk to town in the summer heat, pool was crowded with children and the staff weren't particularly attentive.

Pros: Location is great. We checked few other hotels around the Lake and this one has a beautiful view of the lake, the castle and the gardens nearby. They started some improvements to make beach side look like one. And the restaurant is great: the food, the price and the service. The staff in the hotel and in the restaurant is great and very accommodating.

Cons: It wasn’t exactly clean when we arrived and needs some investment into the showers and bathrooms in general. Showers designed for petit people like us, but our toll and big friends had real problem. Wi-Fi is extremely unstable and connection is poor. Overall it’s designed for locals. Our tourists would expect more from a three-star hotel.

Inspite of we’re so tired and exhausted, we waited around half hour just cuz of it. One more thing , if u r planning to have a great trip , please think carefully)

Pros: The hotel is very nice with an ancient appeal! The room was very clean and confortable and the breakafast was good. there is no lift, but we had to lift only for one floor. They have a very beatiful living room where to seat. We'd like to come back!

Cons: I was initially in Room 201. Directly outside my window there was a generator or something, which hummed loudly and continuously. I could not sleep, even with the windows closed (and I live on a main road in London, so I am used to noise). I complained and was eventually given a different room, which was better - I just had to deal with traffic noise, which was manageable. Overall, I would say overpriced and not great.
