Great view from the top floor and lounge great to relax in with a drink, although I used that less than previous visits, spending more time touring instead. Well appointed room, and lived the alarm clock/radio/phone with built in charging cables.
Bed was a bit harder than I remember most Intercontinental beds to be, and so I struggled to sleep on my side. Water in the shower seemed to cycle unexpectedly between expected temperature, hot and cold. Was not quite on the same par as the Singapore club lounges with personal recognition on returning subsequently to the lounge during the visit.
The staff was exceptionally rude. This started with the check-in, included the maid, and included the concierge. Everyone we interacted with was in a foul mood, mostly unhelpful, and ultimately unprofessional. Dressing someone up in nice clothes isn't enough. The entire staff needed more training, and better attitudes, on how to be helpful to someone traveling to Berlin.
The Breakfast was good, the reception staff and managers were good and tried to give me good service, the location was really good, swimming pool area was amazing.
The room was not the best with what I paid, the cleaning staff was not good, entered my room without permission at 7:30 am, lot of disturbance from the cleaning staff
Spa was closed bc of corona
Room right next to the elevators. Horrible sound like people banging on empty drums. No sleep from 6am when guests start to use the elevators.
The upscale InterContinental® Berlin hotel sits next to leafy Tiergarten Park, a pleasant walk from the iconic Brandenburg Gate. Entertain clients in style on a dedicated meeting floor or make an impression with a function in the ballroom.
