Gorgeous grounds and gardens make for a truly memorable stay here at Best Western Ribble Valley, Blackburn, Mytton Fold Hotel. Surrounded by some of the most breathtaking scenery in the UK, this family owned and run hotel (Lancashire and Blackpool Small Hotel of the Year winner 2011/12) offers an oasis of tranquility. It's so peaceful here, that tourists stopping en route have been known to stay for longer than they intended! 8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely stay- extremely cheap Little bit old fashioned but the room was fab, huge size, powerful shower, comfy bed and great views across the golf course
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, facilities & room with excellent, friendly & helpful staff also. Will definitely be booking again.
5.0 Okay
Pros: My second room was much better. Day one staff were friendly and very helpful. The staff on reception on leaving this morning were not helpful and in no way sympathetic. No way to run a business!
Cons: My first room was dark dingy and in need of a makeover. I was unable to get the water to run from the bath or shower! The sink only had cold water! Hence needing to change rooms.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Decent size room. Relaxing. Friendly staff.
Cons: Lack of people meant bar and restaurant not really inviting. Bit dated.
6.0 Good
Pros: Nice looking building.
Cons: Couldn’t work the temperature out. Bed was a sleigh bed so when you lay down, you couldn’t see the tv.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location of the hotel is great
Cons: Dirty bath room loads of mould . water flooding through the ceiling. Bed had a plank of wood between the matress and the base . Children running wild upstairs until after midnight staff informed but nothing seemed to happen

Pros: Well apointed facilites
Cons: Time to check in (staff sat watching & doing nothing), lack of essentials (TV Remote), 25 Min wait for breakfast.....
5.0 Okay
Pros: The place was good, could do with a bit more cleaning, overall not a bad stay but quite expensive for what you get.
Cons: The place could have been cleaner. Did find blood on the wall leading into the bathroom that should have been spotted when cleaned. The room was freezing when we walked in, knowing we would be staying it would have been nice to turn the heating on half an hour before arrival, especially in december.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, staff were very friendly and the food was delivered very fast. Only down side was the WiFi, but it has been mentioned in other reviews and the management are aware of the problem. Would highly recommend and we will stay there again if we are in the area.

Cons: Bath towel had red dye on it, few cobwebs in room.

5.0 Okay
Pros: Location is nearby to my destination.
Cons: There's no hot water in the morning. Had to wash my face with cold water instead. Too cramped. Cheap with the heater; it was cold throughout the night.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Polite staff but that is it.
Cons: Absolutely disgusting. Rooms stunk of cigarette smoke the bathrooms were very neglected. Blocked shower so had about 40 seconds in shower before tray filled up. Grime and build up all around the shower tray and around the plug and the curtain pole had seen better days and the smell was appalling. Would never recommend and massively surprised booking.com allow this hotel on there site does not reflect well on them at all. It does not let me post a video of the bathroom but I took one anyway! Don’t be fooled by the price you will not be pleased!
5.0 Okay
Pros: Bed comfy and clean. Car park behind hotel.
Cons: Toilet seat hanging off. No wardrobe. Bathroom very small. No bacon or pork sausage for breakfast. (I understand the owners are Muslims, but the guests staying were not.) It's more a place for contractors, not holidaymakers.
4.8 Okay
Pros: Clean and tidy
Cons: Both shared facilities had showers of inadequate operation.one you had to hold in the start button laving only one hand free and the other the shower head would stay aloft due to broken fixture
6.0 Good
Pros: Cheap and cheerful and breakfast in the price as a bargain. Staff were friendly enough. Rooms were good, breakfast was good. For the price you know you're not going to get The Ritz but it was perfect for my needs.
Cons: Well the breakfast room opened 3 minutes late (!) but that is a very minor quible.
6.8 Good
Pros: Really polite, helpful. Breakfast was served promptly and was ok. Nice large comfy bed.
Cons: Property requires a small amount of attention, I.e shower room could do with a bit of titivating, and my room was next to the night staffs, which meant I was woken by the front door bell which was amplified in the staff room to alert them of clients at the front door. But that aside an absolute bargin of a hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, nice view from window. TV had DVD facilities, which was a bonus. Midday check-out time allowed for a much-needed lie-in!
2.3 Mediocre
Pros: could not wait to leave it.
3.7 Mediocre
Pros: Quite well located for Blackburn and centre.
Cons: Building very tired and many items broken or not working. Had to upgrade room to en-suite to avoid broken sink. Waited over 20 minutes for breakfast from due start time of 7am and no-one appeared - prebooked and paid for, but had to leave for an appointment. Would not stay recommend this place, as others nearby appeared better in all respects, albeit Hill View is cleverly marketed on the internet.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: The hotel is placed close to the centre.
Cons: On my arrival - the room i paid for was not available, so the manager put me into another room and told me to pack my stuff next morning, so they can move my stuff. In my new room - there was no internet available, even it states on the website, that there is internet available. Yes, i needed to go downstairs in the kitchen so i could use the internet.
3.6 Mediocre
Pros: Very little
Cons: Room had a strong smell of urine in it
4.4 Okay
Pros: A basic price, you get what you pay for
Cons: Poor decour, poor facilities
