Good location - within a few minutes walking distance to Back Bay Station.
My expectations were low to begin with, but this hotel was awful. The staff was incredibly rude, and not helpful with check in or validating parking. The hotel had low occupancy and still they put LOUD guests in the rooms on either side of me (just poor room planning) and they were shouting obscenities in the hall until 1am. Calls to the front desk went unanswered. The room was very small with a poor quality bathroom; my college dorm was nicer than this room as a whole. The hallways smelled of smoke even though this is supposedly a smoke-free facility. I work in hotels, and like I said, my expectations were low for the price, but this wasn't even average quality. I would never stay here again.
Beautiful old building, EXCELLENT shower with LOTS of water pressure, centrally located to the places we wanted to see, priced right, quiet, and nice continental breakfast
Location and price.
Our room was a closet and not clean which made for an uncomfortable stay.
The location of the property
Great location but the hotel it's self is horrible
The front desk agent was rude, uninterested and not welcoming at all. The hotels leaves a lot to be desired to say the least. The room was outdated and extremely disgusting. The room smelled like ciggaretts and the bathroom had hair in it. I didn't even stay in the hotel because it was extremely disgusting. I tried getting a hold of the manager so that I could get my money back and I still haven't heard back from them.
Very small room, only worth it if you can get a good deal on the price.
Location was great for the 4th of July and BoSox game! Parking was easily accessible and super close...
I guess I had breakfast...coffee and juice Needs updating and stay away from the B button on elevator
The staff was great, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
A bit disappointed in breakfast.
Rooms are gross, bathrooms were like a boys locker room. Had to clean pee off the seat.
Location was great, parking garage and access to the T were right across the street.
Rooms not well maintained: bathrooms need updating
The place is bit and a bit run down, but very clean and well-kept. The staff is very nice and the location was great (Copley Square, 5-minute walk to the Logan Express shuttle). Breakfast included.
Everything was old in the hotel was old - not charming old - like you are going to step on a rusty nail kind of old. The lobby was Ok, but once I got to the room - especially the bathroom - I was kind of skeeved out.
The location and neighborhood was great. It was a very short walk to MIT and to Boylston. The building was lovely. There was a fridge and microwave in the room.
The bed was very firm. The blanket was old and the TV selection was poor.
Good location, next to Copley Square and steps away from green and orange lines.
Hotel is old, room was not that clean. A/C conductors were full of dust.
Bathrooms very outdated & in poor condition. Rooms had a lot of dust & layer of dirt. Bed not the most comfortable.
The historical beauty of the space. The location. Original John Singleton Copley portraits. Friendly staff.
The location was great and it was a cheap option in back bay.
The building seems run down and the rooms were dirty. The bed was extremely uncomfortable.
