My wife and I came for a one night stay and visited local breweries. Everything about the Hampton Inn was extra nice from the warm welcome, to the fine interior conditions, to the excellent full, hot breakfast. This is a nice place to stay.
We were impressed with this place from beginning to end. Nice location. Easy to find and park. Friendly staff. Beautiful, well-appointed rooms with high ceilings and extremely comfortable beds. Surprisingly bountiful complimentary breakfast (eggs, hash browns, waffles, fresh fruit and much more), served in spacious and comfortable dining area. That our time here was too short.
The Hampton hotel was the best hotel we have stayed in yet. Very clean, large rooms.
Comfortable rooms for our two boys and us. Clean and a wonderful staff. Noise from the traffic.
Nice Rooms. Free Breakfast. Fire Alarm went off twice at very inconvenient times.
I liked that I could open the window/sliding door and step out onto a slim balcony from my room to smoke. Also liked that the control for the A/C was on the wall and easily adjusted and worked well. There were several built in connectors to the desk/ TV stand for various devices to connect to the TV for media or business use. Room was listed and shown as a suite with a sitting room and was ABSOLUTELY NOT that! there was no free anything inside the building, such as contintental breakfast or coffee even, EVERYTHING cost , even drinking water, beds were super hard and uncomfortable, small fridge in room, but no microwave, no ice for in room even tho a bucket was there, cheap and low quality room amenities, (single serving only), hotel required a cc at check in for incidentals, held $40 for this!. and then did not release it for 7 days after checkout
Employees friendly at front desk Place looked run down pool had what looked like oily floating slug by the steps walking into the pool. We where able to check in early but the view was horrible. My expectations where high b4 getting there. My room #203,with add one I paid 148ish your brand name is being hurt by this location
The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to accomadate us.
Clean and quite place, organized with positive attitude caring stuff. Close to everything, beachfront Delicious food in restaurant Beach with white sand and warm, clean water Two clean nice size pool I was looking for place like this I liked everything
The location! Right on the beach with 2 nice pools and a tiki bar. Nice staff. 10-15 min walk to St. Armand's circle. You can rent bikes or take the shuttle as well. The rooms need updating. But they were clean.
Location was great, staff was great across the board. My room was 50 steps from the included beach chairs and umbrella set up by a attentive staff every morning. If your looking for a relaxing low stress beach vacation with the emphasis on your feet in the sand this is the place. I don't think the price can be beat. Ohh and the complimentary bikes that will get you to st Armand's in min was a huge bonus when it came to shopping and dinning! I don't think you can beat the value in this resort at a low price point! Wish there was a high top table on the lani to open up the beautiful ocean view for morning coffee!
The location and the staff were great. You pay for being right on the beach but the rooms and resort are very run down. I would not stay there again for the money I paid but if they updated I would come back.
Location was awesome, the staff was great, the pools, shuffleboard, chess, free bikes, beach toys and towels, umbrellas and beach chairs were great. The staff handled a situation with our neighbors smoking and being loud at 1am very well. Any sound travels directly through the walls as if they were cardboard, or you were camping in a tent outside.... be prepared for this is if you need to get sleep on your vacation!
Cheaper than some other locations On the beach Staff was friendly and kind The property is getting older. Needs updating
Location Lets people smoke in the hallways and hits you with a daily resort fee above the advertised daily rate.
Very friendly staff. Outside area is great. Great for families and access to beach. 2 big pools. Rooms are very small
Great Staff/ Customer Service. Location was perfect! HUGE BEACH! Great value for the money. Will be back soon! Victoria at the Front Desk was very helpful in giving us advice on things to do/places to visit, she made our trip!
Liked it all Breakfast was a bit expensive for buffet style.
The staff was very accomadating. Could not have asked for a more friendly, pleasant stay. The ocean view was great, parking was easy, proximity to St Armands Circle was convienent. Would definately stay again. The building on the outside was a little run down, but as we were visiting there, repairs were being done.
The locatiom The room smelled moldy. Lacking counter space in the bathroom. Sink and tub looked dirty...seems permanently worn and stained. Horrible. They even painted the chrome tub drain with white paint rather than replacing it. Really bad. Will not return unless they remodel. For the price we paid, it was a complete joke. The staff was great but cannot make up for the bad rooms. Note that this was the second room they put us in. The first had a leak and the floors were wet!
Room comfortable and clean. Short walk to private beach. Stayed 3 nights room not cleaned one night. Short walk to some restaurants. Pools convenient to room and heated. Wish they had room with a view of the water.
It was beautiful and the staff was great It's far from the main business district and was a bit expensive for a place with no view or restataurant bar of its own the check out is very early
This resort has a small family resort feel about it. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The private beach is nice too. The walk to the beach was a little long.
The facilities were immaculate, very nice beach area and pool...We loved the quieter location south of the village, very intimate with plenty of nearby convenience. We would absolutely stay there again... Turns out our room was the smallest, it had all we needed but not a sitting area...
Really enjoyed our stay. Very clean and nice. Grounds are beautiful, pool was heated, beach is beautiful. Room was fully equiped, really nice linens, well stocked kitchen, nice size refrigerator. Cleaning staff cleaned room promptly and completely. Check in staff very friendly. Walking distance to grocery, drug store, and resturants. Booking through Kayak was a breeze and price was resonable. Would definatly stay there again.
Location was convenient to local restaurants and sports rentals Our first room had a very pungent odor. The were very accommodating and gave us a better room. However the bed in that room was old and not very comfortable.
Wonderful. Will return.
Small motel like resort. Beautiful siesta beach steps from your room. Very clean, updated and accommodating place. No negative comments at all
Hated the 10am check out!!
On beach side of street, so very short walk to beach.
Location can not be beat: proximity to food & drink, and the gorgeous beach is just a walk across the compound. Nice decorations for Christmas, too. Liked the kitchen. Desk staff was helpful. Bed was UNCOMFORTABLE. Too much furniture for the room size. Check-in clerk had dirty fingernails. Although the room looked recently updated, it's with the cheapest finishes. Broken tile in the bathroom.
Great staff; comfortable and attractive rooms; good bar. The only aspect of the Hyatt that I didn't like is that it is a little attenuated from downtown Sarasota, requiring us to use a car to go downtown.
Rooms were functional. Staff was well trained. An additional Resort FEE when checking in. It's NOT really a resort. And if it was , I would like to know about additional fee's in advance.
Great location for anything you wanted to do. Relax, Swim, Kaysk, paddle board, fish, go to the beach. All inclusive to do the above activities. Great pool bar. Friendly and helpful staff starting from your arrival at the front door until you leave. Close proximity to great restraunts, night life and cultural events. I liked everything. Nothing negative about this Hotel
Clean, comfortable rooms, pool area nice I think Breakfast should be included for the price. Music at the bar area would be nice...
Water backed up in the sink in our room. They were quick to repair but the smell remained in the room and was awful.
The staff was very cordial and helpful. The room was quiet and very clean. Lots of activities. Hard to differentiate between those "free" amenities and those for which you are charged. Also not enough complimentary newspapers in the early morning.
Quaint bed & breakfast, comfortable bed. Good breakfast
The owner, was super hospitable. Breakfast was amazing and the atmosphere lent itself toward great conversation with other guests.
We could not have been more impressed by this beautiful, charming home very close to Anna Maria island. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was delicious. The Keurig maching, mini-fridge, and flat screen were nice too. There was nothing we did not like.
The pool and beach facility at Lido is perfect
I liked the amenities and the location of the Resort. The beds sucked.. I stay in 4 and 5 star hotels only and for a Ritz the beds sucked, the sheets were not soft... and I always forget that the rate is inexpensive because they charge you mandatory resort fees per night at check out. Needless to say valet is $24 per day. I feel like I am flying on commercial airlines with the nickel and dimming. Just increase the price and make it all inclusive.
Staff is excellent. Very nice hotel.
The service and the amenities were great.
Had lots of sleeping room and it was comfortable. Felt like i was at home. I noticed there was roaches in the kichen and in the dishwasher. That was a turn off . room 104 building 4535 i beleive 1st building.
Close to everything Not accepting the jet ski, it's weird being so close to the beach!!!
The condo is spacious with lanai overlooking small lake. The location is wonderful! Close to restaurants, the beach, Longboat Key and Sarasota Not sure what bit me while there. Hope it wasn't bed bugs!
We stayed a long weekend and enjoyed it. Very nice and big place. Felt like home!
Location floors are filthy
To my surprise we were upgraded to the newly renovated rooms in the south tower. We were given a two bedroom suite with kitchenet and double balcony with amazing views. Even though it rained and was overcasted most of the time we still had a fantastic stay, for the simple reason that the accommodations were so great.
Hotel seems very popular for weddings and ceremonies on the fantastic beach fronting the hotel. On checking in we were fortunate they had an option available to upgrade to an ocean view room with balcony and kitchen and this room was well worth the reasonable cost of upgrade and made the stay more memorable. The pool bar is great but just wish ot could stay open later than 8pm. The pool bar is great but just wish ot could stay open later than 8pm. Not sure if this closing time is all year round but believe it is a Sarasota State requirement?
The hotel being on the beach, cleanliness, nice atmosphere, pleasant personel.
Convenient location. Great view. They have one of the most friendly, outgoing, accommodating and polite staff I have ever come across. Very nice pool & hot tub facilities - separate areas for family and adults - a nice feature. Quality lounge chairs & towels at both the beach and pool. Only ate one breakfast at the resort but the food and service were both excellent. I would certainly return. Set your GPS the first time coming here - when approaching from the north there is a palm tree partially blocking their sign so you could easily drive past the entrance before you realize where you are. After that, it's no problem. Also, use Washington St, etc. to bypass St. Armands Circle as you will avoid slow traffic around the circle. This will bring you right to their entrance.
The room was old but clean, the bed was very comfortable, The fan in are bathroom did not work, and i thought the chair in the room was very used and not clean.
The location and beach are great. The poolside tiki hut is a place I could stay all day, and the pina coladas were great. The rooms are old. Mold in the shower and baseboards are falling apart. Our group had 4 rooms at the resort and all of them were the same (and yes, all had mold on the shower curtain). When paying $200+ per night, you should get a lot more.
Great location, that's about all they have though Paid rate of nearly $350 for a Friday night, tried to check in at 6 room wasn't ready, had to go back and check in again at 7:30. Horrible room next to parking lot and noisy early morning housekeeping carts. Next morning housekeeping was knocking at 10 a.m. to vacate and clean the room. Buyer beware as they say. Won't be back.
the beach and the shoppes room was old and out dated tiles broken carpet ripped room was just run down.
I liked the proximity to the beach . Our room was filthy. It looked like the only thing that was changed between guests was the bedding... And I'm not even sure about that .
Very large room with kitchenette was perfect beach holiday set up. Had breakfast in my room each day helped to save on costs and made sure I was on the beach by 9am each day enjoying the sunshine and the sounds of the crashing waves. Beautiful walks along the beach lead to a nature reserve area and bird life was terrific. Also a fabulous shopping and restaurant area is a short walk away making sure you can enjoy a drink or two without having to worry about driving.
really great place a little to expensive
The location: right at the beach, and closeby to the St Armands Circle shopping and dining area. The willingness and friendlyness of the staff to help out, offer additional services.
Hotel and rooms were very clean. Had a descent multi exercise machine, was able to work several body parts adequately. Breakfast was descent. The refrigerator did not have a freezer in it.
The hotel was awesome, but I don't appreciate being overcharged for the rental car. I booked for three days, had the car three days, yet got charged for four. I only put that here because I will not get a survey for the rental car. The hotel was great!
Nothing fancy but clean, quiet, a terrific and friendly staff and a great location. Nothing
location room had a filthy floor in the bathroom and the shower tile need re grouting door frame badly rusted.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great also.
It was clean and close to where we were staying. We called the night of check in to see if they had a wheel chair. The person in charge was very rude, and said we aren't a nursing home. The daytime manager was wonderful, and she would have gone home to get hers. The owner was suppose to call us and didn't.
That breakfast was included an it was clean an staff was helpful There was a fee for late checkout even though I checked in late.
Very clean and comfortable. Close to Bradenton attractions. Excellent breakfast buffet with delicious cooked food. The noise of the air conditioning system.
Comfort Hair on bathroom floor
Except for small portion of bathroom floor, my room and the hotel common areas were clean. Staff courteous and personable while being professional. Bed comfortable. Breakfast as advertised.
Not sure why the 2 1/2 star rating, but we were very impressed and would definitely stay here again. The rooms were clean, (the carpet was newly installed) and the beds (queen!) were very comfortable! The breakfast was very good, great assortment. When we called the front desk requesting foam pillows, the young man replied that he didn't think they had any; he didn't check w/ anyone. Next day, the manager told us they definitely have foam pillows.
Room were clean and comfortable and staff was friendly.
Staff was very nice 2nd floor hallway carpet smelled like mildew. Room had plug plateS had one screw, loose , smoke detector hanging out of the wall.
Excellent room. Well kept facility. Good weekend breakfast. Outstanding overall value!
Ordinary breakfast bar was OK Exercise bike was non-functional
From the moment I walked in, I felt very at home. I was greeted by Brian, who, over the week of our stay, felt like a close friend. Every time we walked in he instantly recognized us and genuinely asked how our day was going. The room was great for the money, very clean and comfortable, and very quiet. I felt like nobody was around us. It is a very small hotel, which I really liked. It is a bit of a drive to the beach, about 15 or 20 minutes, but well worth it in my opinion. I loved it, but to some who are very picky I can see them being unhappy. There were a few stains on the bathroom wall, I occasionally heard a dripping in the toilet plumbing, and the tub drained a bit slowly after a bath. But realistically, it's a hotel with new people nearly every day.. things like that will be there. Everything felt very clean and cared for. I wouldn't say I disliked anything.
Clean, snacks left in room for us, front desk staff was adorable. Very basic and practical for price. Right off highway with easy drive to tampa or clearwater. Comfy pillows. Crummy parking. After returning to hotel at 1am, had to park quite far from hotel, behind pool in field. Uncomfortable walk for 2 women in dark desolate parking lot.
Room smelled of smoke. Sink would not drain. Shower was very weak. Sign on inside of door to lock your room for your own safety.
I do like the updated motel 6. Vinyl flooring, flat screen TV... Lack of included WiFi
The room was old and needs alot of updates .Rates were to high for the room.Only good thing was location. Location
The night clerk was very nice and efficient. The 1st St Cafe, attached to the building, had a terrific breakfast. It is not in the best neighborhood, which was noisy. I didn't feel safe walking to get food at 10pm. It is also the kind of hotel where you can expect noisy families next door to your room, and the walls are thin. I really needed some shuteye so this was not optimal.
Room I stayed in was clean and comfortable. Need to clean or replace carpet in rooms and offer all the television channels listed. Especially if traveling with children.
Clean, safe, quiet, convenient location. Great value location for my short stay.
The guy that checked us in was nice. It was clean to the eye. Didn't have noise problems. It was just okay. You know when a room has been locked up for months and there is an overall musty smell in it? That's exactly what it smelled like when I first walked in. Felt like I was going to choke. We had to air it out for a bit and it still didn't help. It was okay in terms of cleanliness. They came exactly at checkout as we were leaving and knocked we said we were coming and they opened the door on us anyway. luckily we had the latch on. That was very disrespectful. I wouldn't stay here again though. Definitely wasn't worth more than $50
I am not a fan of this hotel. For approximately $400 for a 5 night stay, I am not a fan. I witnessed numerous overdoses for which ambulances responded in the middle of the nights with siren and lights (which they rightfully should). As if that wasn't bad enough, the clientele of this hotel looks like they are the people supplying the drugs to the junkies that keep overdosing here. I also had the pleasure of running into homeless people every time I went to go get ice in the breezeway. The ice machine looked unkempt as well. I couldn't let the staff know about any of this from my room though, because the phone didn't even work! No dial tone, no nothing, just dead. When housekeeping staff came around, the only thing they changed were the towels and washcloths. They didn't change the sheets, and I know this because the sheet I had during my stay had a cigarette burn in it despite this being a no smoking room. I took showers before I slept and when I woke up, but this makes me think that the housekeeping staff just makes the bed without bothering to put clean sheets on it. Would you think that they sleep in their bed on dirty sheets? The housekeeping staff didn't bother giving me more coffee each day, and I repeatedly had to go to the front desk in person to ask for more. Manatee County Sheriff's Office had to respond multiple times to this property at virtually every hour of the day and night. It was so bad that I had my door locked and bolted with every lock they had on it at all times. I didn't feel safe at this property. There really is nothing around this property to make you absolutely have to stay here, its just situated close to where I plan to move soon, and that was the purpose of this visit. The TV has static on roughly 50-60% of channels, and this was before the hurricane came through. All in all, I would never stay here again, and I don't think anyone else should too unless they want to see the seedy underbelly of society, and feel unsafe in their room on a nightly basis.
Everything was excellent. The only complaint was the coffee was not very good taste was bad.all Buffet ...all else was good.

More of a 2 star vs 2.5
Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good. You could see the light shining in the side of the door. We hoped bugs didn't come in.
Very friendly staff. Very bright lobby. Breakfast provided was a very nice variety & very well stocked. Rooms appeared & smelled clean. Fantastic idea to have additional electronic plug ins throughout room! May consider another color palate for rooms; color choices made rooms feel smaller than size. AC was little noisy. Baseboard in bathroom separating from wall. May consider door stoppers in bathroom rather than having to repatch holes (Rm 128).
everything but foods are same every day every days food are same
cleanliness location nope
Room was clean and smelled good. Close to interstate but a bit of a rough area.

I landed at the Holiday Inn because of a flight cancellation at SRQ. I booked from the airport, and ended up staying there for 20 hours. The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating. I also loved the bright design of the hotel. I found a wet used facecloth upon checking in and garbage on the floor, but was too tired to complain. The gym facilities are small and not well maintained. There is no expresso coffee. Location not ideal unless you are going to the airport.
The hotel appeared to be new, very clean and had great amenities. Restaurant on site. Reasonably priced Lobby was understaffed. I incurred long waits for service. Restaurant was understaffed and service was fair.
Staff attentive courteous food in restaurant good large portions. Room clean and comfortable. Photos made it look bigger and newer than it is but it was still a good experience
The check-inn staff were friendly and professional. The king suite was big and luxurious. Great stay
Our room was exactly what we expected. The food was amazing and well priced. Staff was very nice. Did not understand why a handicapped room would be on the 6th floor. And the elevator actually was broke for a time one night. But there was no sign posted to indicate we had to take the stairs. What if we would have needed to get our handicapped aunt down from the 6th floor?
