Cons: Pretty much everything
4.6 Okay
Pros: The staff was really helpful and friendly
Cons: The room was really noise, cold, and the heating didn’t work, and the shared bathroom next to it was in a terrible condition. The breakfast was really poor. For a location that isn’t that convenient at all and that price I would’ve expected something much better...
8.0 Excellent
Pros: good price
Cons: Kitchen should be open 24hrs
5.4 Okay
Pros: It was very laidback.
Cons: It was pretty grim and reflected its cost per stay. However, any issues seemed to disappear as quickly as they arose. It’s good for the night.
1.0 Poor
Cons: A dark and filthy place that was falling apart. Had to use my own shoelaces to tie the door to the shower room closed or else it swung open for all on the staircase to see. Room smells and was stuffy. Extra charges for everything - including 5 pounds just to rent a towel! Wi-Fi was spotty and barely connected while I was there.

Overview Reviews

5.0 Okay
Pros: Good location
Cons: Only able to communicate via booking.com. Bedroom was made up the following day and tea facilities were not replenished. Due to uncomfortable nights sleep has to book another night elsewhere.
1.0 Poor
Pros: our room was not clean enough. I wouldn't say it's a 4 star hotel. we were not greeted by anyone. not even at check out. the reception closed and they left us the keys in the room so as not to welcome us because they are obviously afraid of the fact that we are Italians given the well-known emergency of the Coronavirus. We are very offended by this behavior seen by us as an act of pure and useless racism. since we come to Brighton very often because we are about to open a shop we need to stay every week and honestly we will spend our money elsewhere. Other than 4 star rating 0 for your attitude.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean room, excellent location
Cons: Rooms not well sound proofed
7.0 Good
Pros: I was out early every day, so can't comment on breakfast. White, fluffy towels and crisp bedlinen, decent mattress, decent shower. Saving resources by replacing only used towels - very laudable! Very good communication.
Cons: Very limited reception times - but we found a way to accommodate my late check-in.

Cons: Nothing
7.1 Good
Pros: The property was in a good location and we were able to rent a parking space right outside for £5 a day. The room was clean. We were made welcome. Good WiFi.
Cons: We found the bed and pillows uncomfortable. It felt like a budget mattress.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly. The continental breakfast was really nice. The location of the accommodation was really good and we could walk down to the beach and around the Lanes with no problems.
Cons: There really wasn't anything we didn't like. We were lucky with the weather too, although cold, it did not stop us walking about and seeing the sights.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was such a friendly pub, full of the loveliest people. Wish i lived closer! The room was nice too and location great, we were attending a gig at the Brighton Centre and it was a short walk along the seafront to get there. Thank you so much and hope to be back soon!
Cons: Nothing.
6.7 Good
Pros: Good location - staff very nice and helpful but they were also running a pub. they also organised a parking permit for two days which was cheaper than car parks.
Cons: This is not a hotel but three rooms above a rather rundown old pub with really steep stairs to reach them. Breakfast was actually left in our room the night before, which included a dry croissant and a small packet of cereal per person. They had a mini fridge which ran 24 hours and made a hum. It was a really, really small double room making it a struggle to move around with all of our stuff for a wedding. It was also pretty noisy as it was close to a main road with no double glazing. Located in a narrow side street it was difficult to unload the car but they did sell us a parking permit for the day.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable, cosy and surprisingly quiet room.
6.7 Good
Pros: The bed was very comfortable for both watching tv and sleeping. The breakfast was excellent and not greasy
Cons: The bathroom could have been cleaner eg flooring
6.3 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast. Very clean and well organised. Fair price. Good location. Very pleasant overall.
Cons: Pushchair... 50 stairs!!
4.3 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was good and the ladies at the kitchen very friendly. When you visit Brighton, you must go to the Royal Paviljon, that's great! It's a nice city.
Cons: We had a problem with our room the first night, because of the noise. Our room was next to the front door and in the little garden at the backside people were talking till 3am. And we heard every second of a young man and his girl enjoying the night (....) in the room above. And last but not least our room was in between the kitchen and de breakfastroom, so at 7 am there was a lot of noise again. But the two ladies working in the kitchen (the is no other staff at all, communication only bij telephone or intercom) were very friendly and helped us getting another room for the second night. And that room, at the 2nd floor, was much bigger (same price) without any problems and we were happy with it.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Only price.
Cons: There wasn't staff when we arrived. And the shower and toilet didn't flash well. The bathroom door made from clear glass, and there was no curtain so we could see inside the bathroom and toilet from the bedroom.I don't recommend this accommodation.
7.7 Good
Pros: I loved the decor in my room; it's the third room I've stayed there and all the room have been indivudually designed. The breakfast was was fabulous and was the location.
Cons: The shower in my room gave out a mere dribble of water but I exepct that is because I had a shower just before check-out like most of the other guests in the hotel! It would not put me off staying there again as everything else was fabulous, especially the view and the breakfast
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel, good location, would go back
Cons:
7.6 Good
Pros: Free wi-fi is always a great bonus. This hotel is well located considering the price.
Cons:
8.0 Excellent
Pros: its a loveley hotel, a really nice change from large corporate hotels, the rooms have character(not meaning they are old or tatty, quite the oposite) the staff were helpful and friendly, if your going to brighton stay there you be very happy.
Cons:
3.6 Mediocre
Pros:
Cons: The hotel was unmanned, the reception was a phonecall away, my room window viewed a basement wall, someone only came in at 7.45 to cook breakfast.

Pros: Facilities and location good
Cons: no
