10.0 Excellent
Pros: An excellent place for young people on holiday, very well equipped kitchen and consistent breakfast. I loved the way the place is organized - absolutely adorable dining spaces, the lounge is cosy and you also have a quite large variety of books and boardgames for those interested. The bedding is really comfortable and clean. The bathroom and the kitchen are cleaned at least once a day, and surely they are checked during the day to keep the standard high. The staff is very kind and helpful. And the fact that the rooms are mixt was much less challenging. Probably the Seadragon Backpackers attract only nice and educated people. No smells, without noise. Definetily I am coming back with all my family. Because it is a great place even for a family on vacation and a great for groups of smart students.
Cons: I did not like only the fact that I did not have my children with me.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Had a lovely chat with the manager in the morning, bed was lovely and soft and location is perfect!
Cons: Only applicable to summer but really could have done with a fan! Might be worth having one or two in storage just for hot days - nothing to do with hostel but there was barely a breeze through the window and was horrendously stuffy! (Was staying in room 1 so not much space for air circulation either)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Clean and quiet hostel! Enough outlets & space in the rooms. Free breakfast includes jams, cereals, eggs.
Cons: Location was fine, a bit far from the station & more interesting streets/sites...
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Well located, comfortable and clean, in the kitchen there’s everything you could need, good breakfast and really nice staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very welcoming and helpful staff from the moment we arrived. Lovely location a minute from the seafront. Very comfy beds! Would definitely recommend.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staffs are friendly and helpful! All facilities are clean! Near to the beach. Nothing to be complained to be honest. Many stairs in the building, no lift. But if you have healthy knees then it’s a perfect place to go.
Cons: WiFi was a bit weak
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cosy room, very friendly staff, clean and tidy bathroom facilities & kitchen - all in all brilliant weekend in Brighton!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Amazing position in the center of Brighton and at the same time not far from the sea! Cleaned rooms and common spaces.
Cons: No cupboards in rooms to put your things.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Manager excellent. Bed very comfortable although pillows slightly less so ( only point I can think of). Kitchen very clean, and layout great . Gods having such quiet close doors on rooms. Great location by sea and just as close to to Kadampa Buddhist centre for courses.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kevin was great. The place was impeccably clean and organized. This is now my go-to in Brighton.
Cons: Shower pressure could be a little stronger. :)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The mattresses were among the most comfortable I've ever had in a hostel. The staff were extremely helpful, fun to talk to and inquisitive. The kitchen is a great size relative to the hostel, and you're just Into Hove past the boundary, so super close to the best parts of the beach and iconic pubs such as the bees mouth, Robin hood or lion and lobster, without being too far from town. Really awesome place, highly recommended. Would have liked to have stayed longer.
Cons: The room was sooooo hot at night, and there was some inevitable street noise as it's not too far off of western road. The bunk beds are not very tall, making it easier to get up to the top, but slightly more cramped on the bottom. They're a tad creaky too. All forgivable, but a fan would definitely be welcome to get some airflow and create some white noise to block out the street sound a little.

Pros: The standard of the Hotel was excellent. The room was large, airy and beautifully decorated. There are a lot of original features in the property. There was local artists displayed on the walls which made it very interesting. It took about 20 mins to walk into the centre of Brighton along the sea front which was perfect. Breakfast was excellent - fresh fruit salad and fraiche mushrooms were delicious
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect stay. Great hotel with great staff.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Not five star at all...!! Poor breakfast buffet...no fruit ,no yogurt, waited ages for cooked food, room wasn't made up during stay , everyone seemed a little strained. Sorry not worth the money..!
5.8 Okay
Pros: I only got cereal and toast as they don’t start serving breakfast until 8.00am and I had an appointment same time
Cons: Only one night so difficult to say. It was one of the hottest days on record. Room was tiny and uncomfortable due to heat, so maybe I am being harsh. Missing breakfast didn’t help.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I teach customer service and how to exceed expectations and my stay absolutely was one I will mention in my classes as a good example. I am also a civil celebrant that conducts weddings so I will perhaps suggest this hotel for small weddings.
Cons: Everything was excellent. Lots of extra little touches which showed proactive thinking of what customers might need.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, clean and tidy room, nice breakfast good price
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: WiFi wasn't very good
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Cozy clean and quiet place, nice people, decent breakfast
Cons: Not a 5 star by any stretch of imagination. It is essentially a nice B&B. TV can be bigger, bathroom water temperate fluctuates quite often.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was all very good although the single room that I had was small and probably not suitable for someone staying more than a couple of nights
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The manager (presumably owner) was excellent
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Malcolm was the first person I spoke with on arrival and what a hearty welcome I received. Nothing was too much trouble. He was friendly, courteous, professional and helpful. My room was adequate for my needs - clean and comfortable. The garden is gorgeous and I enjoyed an evening drink there. Jackie, the young lady who served breakfast was lovely - unflappable, laid back, efficient and friendly all at the same time. The breakfast - The BEST ever!!!
Cons: I had to ask for sugar for the coffee facilities in my room ... I'm only saying because you're asking and it will help to improve on an already exceptional service (sorry)

Cons: The room was above the downstairs bar but as we were tired each night the music didn't bother us.

Cons: I can't tell because I didn't stay there, be careful the reception close at 11:00PM and I came late that day due to fligh delays.

Pros: The staff were extremely accommodating and made us feel right at home!! We can't wait to come back!! Also even though you're above a pub we didn't hear a thing all over the weekend!! Amazing!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location; nice relaxed breakfast style; comfortable bed; adequate en-suite shower room; great range of events on at the bar.
Cons: The slope of the bedroom floor took some getting used to, but added to the charm! The decor - particularly the ceilings - could do with some talc. Shame the nearest parking is a bit of a walk away.

6.8 Good
Pros: Very well situated and pleasant gentleman at reception
Cons: It was in the heatwave so had to choose between noise from street or a modicum of fresh air I think it would be fine out of season The bed was too bouncy for me! I think stable mattresses with no springs are a must - or twin beds, I guess
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very nice, the manager also speaks Czech, which may be an advantage for those who do not speak English and will need to help in Brighton. Location is very good, everywhere it is a short walk. To the center, to the seato and also to the bus stop. Clean up was every day. Change towels, empty the trash and clean the sink.
Cons: Bed for us was very small, only 140x200. We didn't sleep well. There was a lot of mold in the bathroom. The door seal made a noise when the window was opened. No fridge.

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Location was good close to beach. Friendly receptionist.
Cons: When we arrived at 16:00 our room was still not ready and had to wait 30 mins even though check in time was 14:00. Room was very hot, had no air con or fans. There was no body wash in the bathroom so had to ask staff for some and ended up with a very small tube that had to do a family of 5. Ended up buying our own from the shops. Only had 1 toilet roll in the bathroom as well, plus have to pay for parking. No breakfast either. Windows were dirty and bed mattresses was not great.

Cons: The bed was very hard, the view from the window was a half build extension and a massive yellow stain in the ceiling, the bedside draw had an empty vodka bottle in it.
7.5 Good
Pros: The location is great. The rooms are clean & comfortable, but not the most modern.
Cons: Location
6.3 Good
Pros: We loved the location, easy access to the town and seafront. The staff were really friendly. It was a nice touch having shower/bath gel etc.
Cons: The hotel could do with updating, some of the carpets were a bit shabby and the paintwork needed redoing in some places. Air con would be a great idea.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice bathroom and lovely sized room couldn't fault it, wasnt expecting anything great after checking the rating on here but it was really really nice!!
6.3 Good
Pros: Location, ease of booking,
Cons: Second room not really big enough for two beds. Decor quite tired. Loo flush shook the hotel!

7.0 Good
Cons: Tv wasn’t working properly
6.8 Good
Pros: Male receptionist extremely helpful when I could not open my bedroom window. He didn't give up until he succeeded.
Cons: Couldn't get the shower to work. Continental breakfast extremely limited but English breakfast excellent. Signage extremely difficult to see when driving as slightly set back off the road resulting in me passing it several times before spotting car park signage
6.3 Good
Pros: The room was cheap and clean, the bed was comfortable and the room had a bath, which was great.
Cons: Think Fawlty Towers with Wifi...Don't expect any service from the staff. One person at the front desk who really doesn't like getting out of his chair, no one serving at the bar and really dated decor.
6.8 Good
Pros: Breakfast was good. Position was perfect.
Cons: We used milk for tea in our room on arrival. We asked for more on returning to the hotel in the evening and eventually were given a cup full which was sufficient for before bed but left insufficient for waking. The curtain linings in our room were tattered. There was only one chair and it was very low and in need of repair.

Pros: I liked the fact so close to the sea front and good value for money as long as breakfast is included in the room rate.
Cons: Was told that breakfast was not included in the room rate paid, I disagreed and they accepted it after I produced my email confirmation which clearly stated that breakfast was included. Drawers were lined with dirty stained paper and had hairs in them, so didn't use them otherwise clean but dated. Lots of noise at night from group of teenagers staying, so would not recommend for family stays.

Pros: The place smell disguting everywhere in corridor. The room is so small and the beds are not suitable for human and animals either and in Jail.I think They got more space. You strugle to bend and the place need to be renovate How They can be open.
Cons: I like nothing at all
7.5 Good
Pros: The beds are comfortable tripple is fun, rooms are bright and well maintained.
Cons: It would be more Heigenic if they had pillow protectors and mattress protectors and Cotton sheets. Also soap and paper towels in the communal toilet.
6.8 Good
Pros: Great value for a nights Accomodation and breakfast. But would have paid a few more pounds if it was cleaner and they were ontop of the maintenance
Cons: Shower room was flooded downstairs. The hostel was dirty
6.3 Good
Pros: The staff working in the reception are all helpful , I had a problem with a woman in my room and I talked to the manager, so, she was comprehensive and she moved me to an other flat which was better than I expected. 4.5 Okay
Pros: the staff was friendly and very responsive. they sorted out my booking issues in no time. the breakfast was quite enjoyable
Cons: it looks more like a shared house for local workers than a hostel for tourists or city visitors. the rooms are occupied by people who seem to bee living there for a while. so staying in a room feels awkward. it makes you feel like stranger. the bed didn’t look very fresh, the sheets had a funky smell and felt as if somebody had slept there before. there is no cellphone service in all of the place and the toilets smell dirty.
10.0 Excellent

3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Absolutely nothing at all. The place was appalling.
Cons: I paid £232 for a one-night stay in a hotel that was beyond appalling. The room itself was absolutely minute. Just big enough to fit a double bed. The bed itself leaned to one side, so I spent the night trying not to roll out on to the floor. The room was damp. There were dried food stains on the floor and flirty walls, as well as shards of broke glass. The TV did not have a remote control. The included breakfast was so laughably bad that we went out and ate somewhere else. The dining area itself looked like something from a prison. A really, really terrible overpriced experience. Without doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The rooms are ok. They need some renovation. But the bathrooms and toilets are in deplorable condition
Cons: Bathroom and toilets
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Everything else good
Cons: 2 sockets in a dorm of 12 when everyone has mobiles these days is just unacceptable
8.3 Excellent
Pros: hot shower and clean room
5.0 Okay
Cons: Restrooms, Shower and Rooms dirty....
5.5 Okay
Cons: very old rooms, needs an upgrade really bad.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location was ok; a bit of a walk into town. When TV was not able to be fixed we were then given another room.
Cons: The WiFi - didn't work!! TV signal kept cutting out!! When I asked for extra milk - there was none and I had to buy my own. The first room we were given the TV remotes batteries were damaged. When I said TV not working and new batteries were needed, reception had none so i had to go and buy some, with reception refunding the cost. The parking was hit and miss, depending on when you needed to park. On Monday night I had to park a couple of streets away and was worried about my car. Saw 2 reception staff getting very friendly with each other which was not professional and a bit embarrassing. The 2 flights of stairs and the numerous doors was an issue, especially those at the top and bottom of the stairs, when carrying luggage.
4.5 Okay
Pros: It is what it is
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: We didnt even stay here. Booked and paid up front, arrived and checked in. Went up to the room, walked out and found another hotel! Not for us!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome place to stay only a 15 min walk along the sea from Brighton and great for people with not a huge amount of money
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: I never write reviews but felt compelled to tell others of my experience. I have stayed in some bad places but this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.. firstly it is not a hotel it is a hostel. I booked a twin room for me and a friend which came to £240 for one night. When we got there we got our key and noticed it wasn't the cleanest of receptions. We walked into the room there was dust and dirt everywhere and dirt on the walls which looked like blood, it looked like the room hadn't been cleaned in months!! I checked the sheets and they were stained with small hairs all over, when I went to reception they apologised and said the cleaners had left for the day so noone could clean, they gave me new sheets to change them myself. These were too small for the beds but we used them anyway.. I wanted to take a shower before we went out for the evening and the towels were also stained.. when asking reception if we could have new ones they said that they were not included in our booking but they would give them to me anyway!!!! There were 2 bars of soap on the sink with no cover on and which looked like they had been there for sooo long they were stuck to the sink.. when you pay a hefty sum of £240 for one night you expect cleanliness at the very least. We had a free breakfast included but after everything else we didn't want to risk trying it.. as we were leaving someone said they 'wouldn't let their dog sleep in a room like that' says it all!! Avoid this place...

Pros: The staff is friendly and attentive. The location is also convenient and close the main attractions. The single bed is comfy and clean.
Cons: The room needs to be refurbished; Carpet, doors, windows, etc. It was clean but smelly. The noisy from people walking above is quite disturbing. And too small for the price paid.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and easy to get around, bed was comfortable and staff were friendly
Cons: The room had no fridge which wasn’t great as it would of been nice to bring back water or snacks for the room, and also the room was a bit dusty, as I have allergies it didn’t help.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing.
6.3 Good
Pros: The host was lovely!!
Cons: The lower bed had awful brown mould stains on it. I caught my foot on a screw that’s sticking out by the shower. The door is so uneven the light from the landing is blasting through. I didn’t sleep.

Cons: Windows sealed with no wind coming through which would be cold in winter. Need fan in room for summer.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good quality at good price. Friendly, helpful staff at front desk. Easy access to waterfront, but a good walk (>mile) to Brighton pier.
Cons: Very small lift -- accessibility could be an issue. Wide stairs available that worked fine for us.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: It was comfy, the location is nice and quiet. The bad was realy comfy - great sleep!
Cons: The room could be maintained better, but we enjoyed it anyway. The serviceman was in our room quite often. It should be settled in between previous guests check-out and our check-in (there are several hours between), but they had to fix phone (which we would never use) several times during our stay. It was strange. Besides this, our stay was pleasant.
