The pickup experience was awful. Waited an hour to get the car after making a reservation weeks ago. Also they added $200 dollars to the pickup fee which I didn’t appreciate. It was refunded at delivery. They had my credit card number, why do they need to do that? Won’t ever rent from Budget at Ohilly airport again.Reviewed 30 Jul 2026

The folks in the Richmond office were fine. However, due to a delayed flight, I had to change my car pick-up to Roanoke, which I did over the phone with Budget. The agent I spoke to did not indicate that there would be any problem with this, but when I arrived at the Roanoke Budget desk there was a sign saying “we cannot honor same-day reservations”, and they did not have a car for me. The Roanoke Budget agent was unhelpful and unsympathetic, and I was not able to reach a representative over the phone. I eventually had to rent a car from Hertz. Budget should not allow reservations to be made if they cannot be kept. I was extremely dissatisfied with this.Reviewed 29 Jul 2026
