Love the easy pick up location. It would be lovely to have longer pickup hours, but overall it did meet our needs. Also would be great to have better rates, but all Colorado rates seem high. Great experience at the counter and super easy pick up/drop offReviewed 20 Oct 2024

After 14 hrs flight I get to budget office in Detroit Airport to find 50-60 people ahead of me in line waiting I heard people have been waiting for 3 hrs because only 1 slow person working the counter I waited in line for 10 min but nothing moved so I decided to go next door to Enterprise Alamo in 5 min I was out driving a carReviewed 20 Oct 2024

The only thing that he had was a Ram truck. I was ok with that thinking he wouldn’t give me a huge Ram truck. I am 83 and 5’1”. I went to the truck and pulled myself in. Good exercise I told myself. First stop would be some where I could buy a step stool and some rope to attach to the stool so I could pull it into the truck. Only one othèr problem I could not solve, I could not see over the steering wheel. I had to go back in and hopefully they could find me another car.Reviewed 19 Oct 2024

I live in Florida and was delayed getting to providence RI. The website said they would honor my reservation up to 24 hrs past pick up time due to the hurricane. My delay was going to be closer to 30 hrs due to changes and flight cancellations. I called Budget twice to confirm they would hold my reservation longer than the 24 hours, and was told both times they would hold the reservation. When I called a third time to confirm, they told me they canceled my reservation and had no other cars available in providence. I had to rebook with another car company for $150 more than my reservation with budget. I won’t be renting from them again anytime in the future.Reviewed 18 Oct 2024

I chose a supplier choice vehicle for a 300 mile one way . When I got there they advised me my ONLY choice would be an electric vehicle . I let them k ow that I’m not comfortable with an electric vehicle nor do I have time to recharge it or the know how . The Kayak posting for this rental did not indicate a total milage cap and an overage rate per mile, but this was called out by Budget in the confirmation email in small text that I didn’t notice. Since we drove a long way on this trip, my final bill with Budget was much higher than what i was originally quoted on Kayak. In the future, I won’t likely book with Kayak to avoid this scenario, since whatever saving I may have gotten through Kayak was far outweighed by the extra Budget fees.Reviewed 18 Oct 2024

I reserved a truck and called reservations to let them know I needed only a truck. If one was not available I would have to cancel my reservation. When I arrived at the Budget counter in Pittsburgh I was informed no trucks were available. After pressing them to double and triple check, I received a truck about 45 minutes later. It was filthy and once I left the airport and got on the highway I noticed the car pulled strongly to the right, so much so that I couldn’t take my eyes off of the road for even a second. I did not return, however, because I was told that was the only truck. Two days later I started the car and I received a “maintenance required” warning on the dash. I was unable to put three car in gear also. I called customer service, They said they would send a tow truck, I could ride back to the airport in the cab and pick up a new truck. However, I was located 90 minutes from the airport and it was 10pm. Finally they agreed to deliver a new truck. That arrived around midnight and quite honestly I just took the keys and went to bed. Upon opening the car the following morning, I could not even sit in the truck as it smelled horribly of cigarettes. I went to the store to buy air fresheners and used three entire cans. I tried to get in the car a few hours later and it was no better, so I called the reservation line again. They agree to send yet a third truck to me. They also agreed that my bill would be half of what my reservation was originally to cost. Finally, the new truck came a few hours later and although more mechanically sound, it was dirty also (stains on center console, mud on inside doors, etc). Once I returned the truck at the end of my trip the charges did it reflect any discount for my time, disappointment, cleaning supplies and as was promised. The Pittsburgh Airport budget needs to do a better job than this and I will not rent from them again.Reviewed 18 Oct 2024
