I was given a filthy car !..,& i mean filthy!..inside & out it reeked of cigarette smoke!..the passenger seat was wet with a white garbage bag on it!..the was no windshield washer fluid..the wheel alignment was so bad the car was pulling to the left & the car kept flashing maintenance required on the dash..i couldn't drive the vehicle from ct. to Atlanta.i had to return it.. the customer service was terrible i talked to 9 people with no resolve....i want a full refund of $344 the car wasn't safe to drive...Reviewed 20 Sept 2026

The car's exterior was really dirty. So much so that I chose to run it through a car wash during our rental time just to clean it up. The interior was clean. I believe the exterior was dirty because the rental location at the airport doesn't have a cleaning facility or location to wash returned vehicles, so not really the staff's fault. But maybe they could get a mobile cleaning service or something? Otherwise, the rental was good and I'm happy.Reviewed 7 Jul 2026

Easy pick up and drop off. Conveniently located right in arrivals area. My main complaint is they left the windows part way down and it was raining when we arrived. Driver seat was soaked and passenger seat slightly wet. Also, car was not cleaned very well. Empty water bottle in back as well as cup holders had crumbs/sticky stuff in them.Reviewed 1 Jul 2025

I went to pick up the vehicle in New Haven. They told me the car type and to walk out to the lot to find it. Found the vehicle and it was FILTHY! The outside was filthy but the inside was worse. Food and crumbs and trash everywhere. All surfaces were dirty and sticky. It smelled like vomit in the vehicle as well. I flagged down a worker and showed him and he said he would vacuum quick. He literally only vaccumed of the seats and then gave the car back. Did not offer to switch out vehicles. He said that the night staff forgot to clean it. I ended up having to stop and clean it myself and wipe all surfaces down instead. Still food and trash on the floors so threw out the trash. The vehicle continued to have a horrible odor making it an awful experience to use for three days. Will definitely not ever rent from New Haven Budget ever again.Reviewed 23 Jun 2024
