9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location, stunning home, fabulous room and buckets of character. But most of all, Ethna and Henry the hosts. From the moment we walked in we felt like we were home. Ethna greeted us and we've never been made to feel so welcome, it was like visiting friends or family and we were instantly at ease and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble and we were very well looked after. Our room was something else as well - enormous yet warm and inviting with beautiful furniture and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Bathroom was lovely with lots of nice touches as well. Breakfast was perfect for our needs with fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt and fresh juices, tea and coffee as well as a very tasty cooked breakfast. We will definitely be returning and look forward to seeing Ethna and Henry again when we do.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: No complaints other than was few webs in places.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building and surroundings. The rooms were gorgeous and we appreciated the upgrade to our room for my partners birthday. Dinner was beautifully cooked. The massage was amazing.
Cons: Small details were missing. We were let down by the food- mainly the quality and taste of the breakfast. The spa messed up our booking for a massage. The hotel dining room staff insisted we eat in the bar even though we were guests in the hotel who had also booked a spa break so we felt like second class citizens. The portions were very small and extra side dishes expensive, in fact anything you wanted extra was an added cost. The shower in the room was badly designed - water poured onto the floor. All the water in the spa was scalding hot. We had conditioner in the room but had to ask for shampoo twice. Lots of Niggly things that frankly should have been there for the price you paid and to meet its ‘luxury’ title and price
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Area, spa, the room
Cons: The stairs to get to the spa were not very safe either the ones to get to the swimming pool
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Didn't have any breakfast but the other facilities were perfect
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the food was very good and the grounds are very tranquil .
Cons: the spa pool areas could do with some updating and attention
7.5 Good
Pros: Very relaxing environment.
Cons: No aircon in rooms, food and drink service extremely slow!
4.3 Okay
Pros: The grounds were better kept than the hotel
Cons: The blue bell room needed New carpets and head board they were disgusting overall very bad value for money. I stay in hotel's as part of my job this was one of the worst. I would have been better staying at a premier inn clean comfortable and good value for money
6.3 Good
Pros: Easy free car parking
Cons: No air conditioning in the room so had to sleep with windows open, it was noisy and uncomfortable. The fan in the bathroom runs all night long so it was noisy. There are not enough staff on reception to help with check in or problems.
6.8 Good
Pros: the rooms were a nice size and the spa was lovely, very pretty location
Cons: The room was really hot and gave me a disrupted sleep due to the fan being loud but unfortnately not making much of an impact on the heat in the room. Also due to there being no fridge in the room the water became room temperature/warm. Also no wifi access as the wifi was so temperamental and due to the location my own personal phone signal was extremely poor in the room. The spa should be open until later.

5.8 Okay
Pros: The bed is not meant for 2 adults
Cons: The breakfast
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Customer service was excellent. Really helpful staff. The room was of decent size with a cupboard and chest of drawers. Plenty of storage for clothes. The mattress was bouncy and could do with it being much firmer. The bathroom was clean, yet a little small in size. It could do with shelves for toiletries.
Cons: Bathroom was small, shower cubicle was small. It needs some shelves for toiletries. Mattress needs to be firmer.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very helpful and friendly.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Continental breakfast is included in the room price, very nice.. no waiting around the toaster. Breakfast is served to you, help yourself to cereal Pastries etc. Well presented and fresh.
Cons: Nothing springs to mind. Single room is a little cramped, but compared to other hotels in Ilford the Rosales is definitely a cut above...very good value for money.
7.0 Good
Pros: I.liked that the deposit could be handled in cash where by it was returned the next day , a logistical delight in comparison to others which say they will return it in 7 days but with weekends work out most of 2 weeks
Cons: It was fine. It wasn't great luxury but that wasn't expected.
7.5 Good
Pros: The bed was very comfortable and nice size room for me and my partner
Cons: The shower blocked up
8.3 Excellent

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Attentiveness of staff when we advised them of malfunctions of the air-con system and shower. All were attended to and remedied within a few hours of notification. Breakfasts choices and Main Meal menus catered for all tastes. Unlike the competition (Hotel Campanile) this hotel is modern and up to date. Breakfast was included in the room rate.
Cons: Nothing
6.8 Good
Pros: The bed was comfy. That was the only positive here!
Cons: When I called up to change the date. The attitude of the staff was disgusting. They hung up on me when I asked a question, she replied ‘I don’t know’ and hung up! If you don’t know, fair enough, but don’t hang up and give attitude! They need to sort out their manners and customer service!
6.8 Good
Pros: The breakfast was good, the bar area was clean and tidy prices not to bad.
Cons: First night had to find bar staff.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good for a continental buffet, did the job for a group of 5 adults and 6 children!! Location close to Dartford tunnel was very convenient Surroundings was quiet and could appreciate the view of the QE bridge.
Cons: We had booked 3 rooms unfortunately it was the hottest weekend of the year and with all the AC's in the other rooms on full blast I guess that affected our ac's as 2 of the 3 AC's did not cool the rooms. However staff were very understanding and brought in fans as well as offered a discount on our 2 nights stay.

6.8 Good
Pros: The roof didn't leak. Location was convenient for where we were going.
Cons: The staff themselves were friendly and helpful but the service was chaotic. We tried to order food but most of our choices were unavailable. Those that were able to get their choice (chicken risotto) were given a plate of gloop where you couldn't see the individual rice grains. One of our party then paid for the meal at reception with her credit card. The charge appeared on her bill but I found later it had been charged to my credit card! Because the meal was so bad we were offered free drinks but declined because we had an early start in the morning. In the morning one of us got a coffee from the machine but were not allowed to use the free drinks offer! Not impressed.

7.0 Good
Pros: The staff were lovely all of them. The gardens were amazing and seemed out of place in this dated accommodation
Cons: oh dear how much dodgy looking furniture can you fit into a room. The bathroom needs serious upgrading the tap kept coming on hard in the night.
7.5 Good
Pros: I was able to book in early and the view off the lake
Cons: the breakfast was awful and the room was very old fashion. the hotel needs updating
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Very dated hasn’t changed in 40 years which was the last time we stayed there
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was ideal for us to travel to Tilbury. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely views over the lake.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good rooms and a good breakfast
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Picturesque lake and convenient location for getting to Rochester, where I was attending a wedding. Good breakfast. Good-sized rooms.
Cons: The decor could do with an upgrade.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely view of the lake from the room, everyone was helpful and good with the puppy we had with us, a great experience all round
Cons: It is minor but would have liked to see sweeteners in the rooms and breakfast offerings as well as sugar
6.3 Good
Pros: Great location. Big clean bedrooms with a bed for each of us (family x4). Very comfortable and clean. Well stocked for tea, coffee etc. Great rooms all in all. We swapped a premier inn for this and to be honest, we are glad we did. Rooms are much much better here for families. Much better. The garden, decking and lake are well kept and stunning. Great for parking and motorway access. The girls behind the bar where very helpful and smiley too. Especially the new one on her first day. She was great. Very chatty and helpful. Maybe she will become like the rest soon though. The spanish girl at breakfast was very good too. Was on the ball. Shame about the others though. . All in all it is very good value for money but dont expect service with a smile from some or any glamour.
Cons: Needs an update. A bit scruffy, but no real problem. Has a restaurant area but it's not very nice or welcoming. Ordered some food, which was well priced and a good selection. Wasn't the best. Bought in battered fish. Packet sliced ham with frozen chips. Stale bread. The name of the place suggests real home cooked ham and proper battered fish. Seems it must be a cook and not a chef. Filled a gap though. The lads serving could learn to smile. One rolled his eyes when I asked for salt and ketchup. No customer service skills at all. Our toilet wouldn't flush properly. The girl who served us at breakfast never broke a smile once. Doesn't seem like a good place to work? But if you just crack on it's ok.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place, the view was great! Will definitely come again!
7.5 Good
Pros: Later check out than most. Lovely lakeside areas.
Cons: A little dated decor but very clean.

4.2 Okay
Pros: I was there for a wedding so that was good.
Cons: Despite paying quite a bit for the room, I still had to pay parking (which is normally free when staying in other hotels) the water in the room was £5 and looked like tap water. Breakfast was £10 per head. Basically you had to pay for everything on top of an already over priced room. The room was dark and gloomy and the bed was uncomfortable. Every time you moved in bed it rustled like I was sleeping in a pvc bag. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep and wasn't to impressed. I would take a premier inn over the Hilton any day of the week. Would I stay again? No.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, comfort breakfast price fitness facility pool spa steam sauna
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice spacious room. Great location staff at check in were very helpful!!!
Cons: They were black stains on the bath which put me off considerably! And blue paint on the white door! Having a £5 charge to bring an ice bucket to the room! Only hotel I’ve ever stayed at where there is this cost! You can go downstairs and get it for free- I imagine this has something to do with the fact that one of the elevators was out of action making going up and down much slower!!
6.8 Good
Cons: Staff were under resourced in the restaurant the wait was to long at the start, and between sets The room that we booked in to the bed was not made (sofa) bed so back down to reception to report this When in the restaurant a lady said sorry the bed has broken you need to move rooms She was very apologetic of this
6.3 Good
Pros: I enjoyed the cookie you get once your booked in. The staff were nice
Cons: The shower in the room didn’t work properly it made a loud noise as the water was running and the staff didn’t clean the rooms fully and left our breakfast tray in the room. Pillows weren’t all that either it’s given me neck ache. I’d rate the hotel 7.5/10
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Me and my boyfriend had a very pleasant stay overnight for my friends wedding reception. The hotel was modern, well furnished and decorated. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room was incredible very clean, well sized, comfortable with excellent facilities. Breakfast was lovely too plenty of choice to suit all appetites. Would highly recommend to stay here.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location was good and the general shared areas looked nice. Staff were great. Large flatscreen TV and a couple of chairs were a nice addition to the room. Decor was nice in the main room (unlike the bathroom). Simple check out.
Cons: Although some part had been done up many others wernt and I dont believe justified the Doubletree title. Our bathroom was very basic with lots of chipped tiles on the floor. The shower was the old fashioned stand in the bath and pull across the shower curtain (again would expect this in some budget hotels but was surprised by this simplistic styling from Doubletree). One of the lifts wasnt working so we decided to take the stairs. Above the 1st floor the stairs were more like an public car park than a hotel. Not a great bar area. Additional Charge for Parking.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was clean and comfortable with a good selection of food etc.. I would use this hotel again for business in the area and will use this as a base for my next visits..
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Why can't you fix the lifts - one has been out of order for weeks now
8.3 Excellent
Cons: Food we ordered was not freshly made I.e. pizzas we ordered were frozen and heated

Pros: They had pretty much thought of everything. Even a pint of milk in your fridge for the tea and coffee rather than UHT which I really appreciated. They were also very accommodating letting me store my bike in the outbuilding and unlocking it at 4.30 a.m. when I had to leave for an event.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: NIce and comfortable and easy to locate.
Cons: All was fine for the price
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was near the station, very clean. I have seen only one staff member and he was very friendly.
Cons: Stairs are little tight. No lift. No safe to keep you stuff somewhere. Towels were washed but have had their life.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very handy location, extremely helpful Staff and nice clean room
Cons: The stairs were a little difficult for my wife due to her mobility issues
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: room without openable windows, was too hot inside and no chance get temperature down very disappointed
4.3 Okay
Cons: Visitors are not allowed...really It’s a hotel room we are paying to stay why can’t visitors visit in the room That’s B/S

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely reception staff and housekeeper great.
Cons: Room very hot although overbed fan helped except on full speed it shook and was very noisy as it needed adjusting on its fitting.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Friendliness of staff, especially in restaurant.
Cons: Small rooms, not tall but could touch walls each side in bathroom. No aircon in room, also window opened onto back of restaurant so unable to see what weather was doing or time of day as covered in.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: First room (very basic) had a fan on the ceiling- the most ridiculously loud fan I have ever heard. Would have been either impossible to sleep from either the heat or the sound. The window would only open slightly and there was no aircon. We were then moved to another room of slightly better standard, this fan was much less noisy however only worked when the lights were on. Absolutely boiling without the fan, I ended up having to remove hot lightbulbs in order to get some sleep. The beds were hard, and overall the hotel is terribly out dated.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Location was great for our purpose
Cons: Someone else managed to get in our room using their key for another room The ceiling fan made more noise than the traffic on the A2 the lack of toiletries is appalling
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean room, comfy bed
Cons: Restaurant wait was too long and receptionist seemed stressed !
5.5 Okay
Cons: Room - Old and uncomfortable mattress- not a decent nights sleep and didn’t stay for the second night. No air conditioning- so we had to have the window open for comfort. A hotel charging this rate is sadly over priced for the lack of up to date services.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were wonderful and the restaurant was excellent value.
Cons: Not applicable
5.0 Okay
Cons: There was no lift in building, this was not good when you had heavy suitcases to carry up two or more flights of stairs. The fan attached to the light was so loud!! it was worse than a tractor noise and could be heard in hallway. Would have been nice to have basic toiletries such as a bar of soap in the bathroom too. And House keeping do they really need to coming knocking at 9am in the morning?!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff really friendly and polite on check in. Bed was comfy
Cons: Our room faced on to the road so was a little noisey at times. Some other guests were quite noisey in the corridor which isnt the hotels fault.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Evening meal was good.
Cons: Breakfast was dreadfull. Horrible smoked bacon, black burnt sausages. Only one poached egg. No hash browns or any alternative. Dried up tastless bread to make undercooked toast. Plus Wifi didn't work.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Most friendly and honest staff. Tidy hotel.
Cons: The sink didn't flush very well
7.0 Good
Cons: Side Lights in room not working . Shower not very powerful . Head could have done with clean lime build uo and drain in shower blocked
3.8 Mediocre
Cons: Just too noisy. Person in room below played music extremely loud. Other guests were arguing at 3am. Also a very strong smell of cigarettes in the corridor outside my room. Really not a good experience.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Size of the room and garden
Cons: Small bathroom
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything - filthy, curtains hanging off the hook, bathroom full of mould, hairs in the sink, mattress on the bed belongs in the rubbish, broken stinking old fridge not even in working order dumped in the room. Stifling hit unable to open window due to endless traffic. Absolutely horrific and a complete waste of money
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The self-sufficiency. Once I had registered, I was on my own but knew where to go if there was a problem. The room had both a microwave and fridge in it which proved useful. Apart from below, the surprising quietness and, the low cost. The generous attitude regarding my late departure from the room.
Cons: No communal area so no conversations, a rather large mosque the other side of the railway with various long calls to prayer over the weekend and the initial run-down appearance of the properties but the room itself was great.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The shamrock is clean and tidy and comfortable in a great location.
Cons: The shamrock could do with a wardrobe.
5.0 Okay
Pros: erm....room....
Cons: Location, other residence at the hotel....ll
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was great value for money. Not too far away from the town centre.
Cons: En suite a little on the small side, but all was ok.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location paublic areas and bedrooms
Cons: The shower tray outlet was blocked the sink plug did not close and it needed a shaving mirror
6.8 Good
Pros: location and breakfast
Cons: no air con so had to request to be moved as the room was like sitting in the sun in spain and we could not sleep. we were moved for the second night service at bar was very slow as was food service
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Large comfy bed. Clean. Full use of spa facilities. Nice bar area. Big room.
Cons: Nothing.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Loved everything about the hotel. I felt sooooooo relaxed after my visit to the spa. Can’t fault the place. Only minor tiny thing was the room was a bit dark as there were only lamps for lighting. But as I said something silly and minor
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Spa and decor lovely staff were amazing specially one that put a food gifts and card I our room for my sister birthday they made it special..
Cons: Wasn’t anything I didn’t like about property I’m glade I went, I wish I did sooner..
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: We had stayed in a wonderful hotel from the same company the night before but this was nothing like it. Free parking was good and a cozy breakfast garden (except for the noise from racing)
Cons: The hotel stinks smoke from the lobby to the rooms. The noice from the racing is disturbing. Only stairs and lots of them to the rooms and nobody that takes up your luggage. There is nothing else around. This is a racing hotel and probably perfect for those guests but not for me. My view from the room was the laundry and a garbage container. Looks terrible and the laundry personnel started making noise very early.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: My room was a family size room which was great as I had a double bed all to myself :-) The bathroom was spacious and there was both a shower cubicle and a bath tub available
Cons: for the size of the room, there could have been a fridge. At breakfast, the staff were a little slow to top up breakfast supplies 9ie milk for cereal and pastries). When I went to help myself , there was nothing there :-(
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Check out was slightly confusing with 2 members of staff changing over mid way
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Lovely hotel! Would definitely stay again, lovely spacious clean rooms, amazing air con! Super comfy bed, only bad thing is that the hotel extras are extremely pricey, and we had to wait an extra hour and half to check in as the room wasn’t clean, they told us to go get a drink as we had to wait, which cost £10.50 for a small glass of wine and a coke! Really it should have been complementary as we were left waiting, lady at reception was very apologetic and polite about the situation,

Pros: Quite close to Ilford centre. Great breakfast. Good price Friendly staff Can access room all day. Nice size garden. Would recommend.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
7.0 Good
Pros: Clean sheets, clean towels, generally very clean
Cons: Bit of maintenance needed here and there. For the price it was okay, remember this is accommodation in a public house. But it was nice and clean.
2.2 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Families with very young children share disgusting facilities, cooking in their rooms, one broken sink for six rooms to share, for both washing after using shared toilet and washing up after cooking. Endless crying and shouting by the children and door slamming by adults.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms
Cons: Fridge in room maybe a microwave
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly helpful staff
Cons: No where close to dine No secure parking
5.0 Okay
Pros: Small, old and you hear everyone around
7.5 Good
Pros: The bed was clean and comfortable
Cons: The door lock was faulty.
7.0 Good
Pros: Price. Cheap, like a budgie says.
Cons: Noisy hotel. But you get what you pay for
5.5 Okay
Pros: There's no glamour here, and the room only had single beds so it's not great for couples. Suburban Dartford isn't the best location either. This hotel would be good for groups of friends visiting somewhere nearby who want somewhere cheap and practical to stay, and aren't worried about frills.
6.8 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed.
Cons: No window in room, so very stuffy and warm. Thermostatic shower valve can not be adjusted to the right temperature. It's either too cold or too warm.

Cons: No air-conditioning. Noisy.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable.
Cons: Very small room. No ventilation ,too hot even with windows open was abit of a downer.
5.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms are very small, bathroom small, it extremely hot, no AC
5.8 Okay
Pros: Food was reasonable price. Bedroom is good for single. Room was very small and tight. 2 girls travelling and requested to 2 single bed but they wouldn’t change for us and they will charge £20 more. 1 double bed in the room and was so tight to get around.
Cons: Location was too far from the city Train was expensive lower price was not worth it. At the we paid more. 1 double bed in the room and small hard to move around with two girls with luggage. Requested to change to 2 single bed but no, will charge you £20. They were not flexible staff.
7.4 Good
Pros: The staff was friendly, very helpful, and we enjoyed them very much. The rooms were well stocked, and had all the necessities.
Cons: The location. This felt like we had landed in a very seedy part of London, which wasn't reflected in the online ad. We had to walk about 6 blocks from parking to hotel, and the area felt unsafe at night, with men in the streets urinating. Not a place I will return to. The bed was small and VERY hard. Probably one of the most uncomfortable stays I've ever had at a Best Western.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff is very accommodating and will give good advises on where to. The room is clean tho i dont like carpet. The bed was very comfortable
Cons: Very small room. You have no place to open baggage.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: location is only a few mins walk to the nearest train station. place was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ok. I would stay here again.
Cons: room were smaller than I expected but it was comfortable.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff are very friendly and nice.
Cons: There's no hotel parking on site.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: + Breakfast was prepared and served on demand, not just buffet!!! + Patient staff with difficult clients we saw there.
Cons: - The rooms could be a bit larger. - A bit far from centre.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Breakfast was good and location was good. Although there was no hotel parking they did give an alternative parking spot which was free.
Cons: In regards to the room itself it was too hot for 4 people. Although we had 2 fans it was not enough. The bathroom was also hot and it didn’t help that the shower was blocked. we would have to wait quite a bit before the next person could shower.
7.5 Good
Cons: No others issues except:- Does not let you know if your room is in the best western on main road or Argyle Road I was under the impression from booking.com that I was at the site with parking, which I would have preferred the choice as had to walk quite distance to where was staying as no parking which is inconvenience when have work equipment to carry.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: It was included which can be rare in the UK. It was more than just a continental breakfast. There were actual cooks who were making meals in request including eggs, sausage, hash browns, and beans. Plenty of different juices and teas.
