The car was NOT clean. The attendant told me it had just been dropped off and did I want the dirty seat wiped down...yes, please 🙄 A few minutes after leaving the pickup, the deodorizer wore off and the car smelled like an old shoe. I drove with the windows down when I could it smelled so bad.

Agent there was rude gave ny rental away because I wasn’t there within an hour. Akron had there annual Marathon we could not get down market street. We also had a funeral which trying to get down Market we began to run late so we went to the funeral then came back to get the rental. She said since I was over an hr late she gave it away. She said that she didn’t have any SUV’s. There office close at 1 this was at 12:30. There were 3 sitting outside & said 1 was a VIP & the other was for reservations. I then said I had a reservation. She then said she was cancelling my reservation. Terrible service

Arrived at the Akron Budget rental location and was told that the vehicle I rented was not available. Being out of town, I had Ubered there under the promise of a vehicle there (I had reserved online). When they told me they didn’t have it they offered no apology or remedy but rather said that I would have to go to the airport to get a vehicle. They had a “not my problem” mentality even though the car was reserved ahead of time. I asked if they could transport me to another location as it was the company’s fault for allowing the reservation and they said no and gave me a list of local taxi companies. Again, being stuck since I was in town on business I had to Uber again to the airport where I eventually was able to get a vehicle. Overall, it cost me two hours in time and was a terrible experience.
