The rental was okay the key fob was broken and it was hard to start. When I returned it a day early I dropped the key in the box however, I discovered that my son had left a tote in the back of the car and they dont check the cars so It is now missing with a bunch of tools at a $600 value we tried to talk to the girl at the counter and she was very uncooperative and now he has not been able to get ahold of anyone at the budget counter. We have no idea who has his tote that left with the rental vehicle.Reviewed 12 Mar 2026

The car was filthy on the inside! It was truly disgusting and it had been oversaturated with air freshener. I had to roll down the windows in 19 degree weather and drive to Cleveland. I was coughing much of the time. Initially the Avis line was long and when the Budget people realized there was no one at their counter, the baggage claim person told them where to go. It took a long time for one hard working Avis agent to resolve all of the issues and move the line. The return on Sunday was equally as horrible. I waited at the return section of the parking lot as directed by the sign, but no one came to check-in my return. I walked across the parking lot toward the terminal and a large woman said that she “would take my keys”. She had no name tag, no coat with an Avis logo, no hat with a logo,….I had no idea who I was giving the keys to. She could have been there to steal the car for all I knew. She said her name was Brenda and I would get an email confirming my return. I waited 7 minutes inside the terminal for the email. It never arrived, so I went to the counter, stood in line again and finally got a receipt. 25 minutes waisted when I should have been in the TSA line.Reviewed 9 Feb 2026

My only issue was there was nobody to check my rental back in and nobody at the desk either. So I just left the keys on the counter, hoping it was getting returned properly and that I’d receive my $200 credit deposit back. This was at Akron/Canton location.Reviewed 26 Jul 2024
