Pros: It was easy to find the pick up and drop off points.
Cons: When you leave the desk theu should tell you the keys are in the car, i was waiting around for someone to show me which car and give me the keys for ages, but then another customer told me that you just get in the car and go. Not a great system once you leave the booking desk.

Cons: I reserved a generic car on line that I thought would be a mid size car. The cost of an upgrade was double what I reserved. The Florida toll system was not explained and I see in the contract that I will be surcharged an outrageous "service fee" for tolls.

Cons: The car smelled like herbs of the illegal type. They just sent you on your way to just find the car. They didn't do anything with my gas receipt upon return so I just had to come out of pocket. You'll be high pressured to buy insurance. Staff was friendly until it came time to pay. Paid three times the kayak amount.

Pros: Although they initially directed me to a Chrysler convertible (hard top, small boot) the assistant got me a Mustang (soft top, big boot) and we had a great holiday.

Pros: Loved Chrysler Town n Country! Very versatile vehicle and it was very clean. Drove nice and was very comfortable on a 700+ mile drive.
Cons: Honestly, nothing. The whole experience was quick, seamless and professionally done on both the rental location and the drop off. Will definitely rent from Alamo again.

Cons: The person who checked us in was belittling us to and up sale was very rude about it and tried to con us into getting the insurance by making it seem like it wasnt an option to pass on the insurance and the cars ac unit was leaking on our feet the whole ride. After this experience i will never rent from alamo nor will i ever recommend it.

Cons: I kept the car for 2 days longer and it cost me $170.xx that's outrageous, and I will be contacting Fox directly. I had the rental for 11 days and 2 extra days. For 11 days it was $320.xx with prepaid fuel. my total was $490.xx F$*king crazy. Never again will I do that. Most of all the biggest problem I had was the fact that both cars I had were experiencing some type of mechanical problem. The Hyundai I rented needed a CV joint or Drive axel. had to bring it back and waste about 1 hour of my time during a busy work-week for myself. Then I got a 2014 Ford focus SE with the well-known (according to google) transmission problem at 50k miles. Super annoying.

Pros: Car worked. Car was clean.
Cons: 1. Extra fees. The estimate for two days was $83. It ended up costing $130 with an additional $150 deposit that takes a week to return.
2. Bad attitudes. I get that the employees don't get paid much, but everyone was grumpy and crabby about doing their job.
3. Weird smell in the car. They sprayed it with something nasty like cherry and almonds. It went away in a day with the windows down.

Cons: We landed late in Fort Lauderdale around 10:40 by the time we reached the Advantage counter it was close to 11:30 p.m. There were 3 employees one called me up we began David the agent proceeds to tell me that I need proof of insurance. I was taken back....I asked why. I was told it's our company policy. I have never heard of this with any rental company and I travel alot. I asked if I could bring my insurance up on my phone. David replied No we need the paper. He handed me a piece of paper with he wrote this fax numer 954-359-4025 & wrote Declaration Page. Then asked me to step to the side while he wait on the next customer. At this point I'm frantic. I'm traveling with my teenager it's midnight and I have to still travel an hour and a half to my destination. I call my husband to see if another rental company can help me. While waiting I asked another agent Angela if this insurance policy is with all rental companies in the state of FL and new since my husband was there the week before me and rented with another company. Angela explained it's for FL locals. The agent David who waited on me never asked if I was traveling thru FL but assumed I was a local since I have a FL driver license. I no longer live in the state I explained. Angela tells me oh as long as you have your flight information you don't need proof of insurance. I was so Annoyed and Frustrated that they Did Not disclose this information up front. I had to ask questions. In other words you're not a valuable customer and I don't have to go above and beyond to assist you. There was No issue since I no longer reside in the state of Florida. If only David would have asked. I will not rent from Advantage again nor recommend them. I asked if there was a chance I could get a different SUV without missing a beat Nope this is it. Not even a pretend let me check or we have this. Terrible! Terrible! Customer Service. How do you allow a woman traveling with her teenage daughter to just stand at your counter and not try to help them especially that late at night it's now close to 12:00 a.m.? Thankfully I did not have an issue with the rental car.

Pros: I pre paid for my reservation $268.00.
when I picked it up they added an additional $200 as a deposit. when I dropped off the car they wanted to charge me an additional $205!! none of the information they had on their reservation matched my prepaid reservation. after many phone calls I did get my 200 and $5 refunded. I rent cars for business several times a month and never have this problem except with advantage and its associates.

Cons: The price I was quoted online stated it was the TOTAL price. When we were given the bill we were told we HAD to get the optional insurance and were charged for it...even though we did NOT want it. I called Advantage and asked for a customer service rep to call me but never received a call.
Pros: We were under the impression the pick up drop off was at the airport. Surprised when we had to cab to another location near the Port to get it. I think it should have been spelled out more clearly as not familiar with the address. thanks!

Bait and switch on model reserved
Cons: My rental reservation read "Jeep Grand Cherokee or like model." When I went to pick up vehicle, I was told I could not have the Cherokee that was parked I the "premium SUV" aisle and had to take a "standard SUV", either the Kia or Dodge. The guy working at FLL could not understand why I expected to drive the vehicle that was on my reservation and on the lot! He was zero help and I strongly feel pulled a bait and switch.

Cons: For a $25 rental, it ended up being over $60. Seems to be all kinds of hidden costs that they don't tell you about.
Cons: The pricing wasn't transparent - I had thought that the price paid online, plus the additional insurance I bought would be the entire cost. Turns out there is also third-party insurance that can be bought only at the pickup counter.
Additionally, the information given at the pickup counter wasn't clear. We needed to ask questions several times, especially regarding the toll option in Florida. In the end we had to call customer service again regarding the tolls (see next item).
Customer service was poor. The phone number given at the checkout counter was for the Orlando office, whereas we had rented in Fort Lauderdale. Further, after calling customer service for a day we could only get through to voice mail. Left a message asking to be called back, buy that didn't happen. The next day we made it through to a representative.

Overall great value, but mediocre pick-up/drop off
Pros: The price was great ($20/day for a Camry) and the location was conveniently placed in the rental center.
Cons: The pick-up/drop-off experience was below average. The attendants at the counter took too long to check out other customers. They spent too much time trying to sell dumb add-ons like insurance and SunPass, which are both rip offs, and not working on getting people in their cars and on their way. Also, the first car we got smelled like cigarettes, so we had to change out for another one. Upon return, nobody was around to tell us where to park the car. I also found out after the fact that they charged me for an entire extra day for keeping the car for an extra 3 hours beyond my reservation time. Their "hourly" rate was about 35% of a whole day! This wasn't well communicated to me on the front end. Notwithstanding these issues, however, I thought I got what I paid for.

Rental car without power windows or locks in 2016?

Cons: Employee encouraged me to upgrade but did NOT inform me of the lack of features in my rental:
NO power locks
NO power windows
black interior gets SUPER hot in Florida sun
$10/day for spouse when most other rental companies I've used include it for free
$8/day for toll pass (hardly used), no clear explanation of alternative offered by employee ("they don't have booths" so then is there even an option?!)
$200 hold that gets refunded is NOT explicitly stated in the contract and explanation offered by employee was insufficient (my husband is a lawyer)
Felt nickeled and dimed - cheapest price online but after added expenses at pick-up, felt I should have gone elsewhere that was more transparent
I will NOT use E-Z again.

Pros: We got a Ford focus and it ran well and got great mileage and even though it was rented off site we were allowed to return to the airport with no additional costs. Service was excellent and very accommodating.
Cons: Unfortunately the car rental site is not at the airport but within a mile. They do have a Payless in the airport however apparently there was a huge price difference. The Payless employees were very nice at the airport.

Pros: I found a great price for the number of days I needed the vehicle. When I arrived at the off-sight location (after a $20 taxi ride), the attendant (Jose) was EXTREMELY nice. He immediately said I could return the car to the airport location and he would waive the drop fee, gave me his contact info in case I had any issues with the car. He helped us to put our bags in the car and wished us well. Compared to the on-sight folks, he was a gem! Thanks, Jose!
Cons: My rental pick-up turned out to be off-sight with no shuttle provided (a situation I've never encountered before). The on-sight people were no help at all. We had to take a $20 taxi ride to get to the pick up point.
When returning the vehicle, I had filled up before my 45 minute ride to airport. You are on the Florida Turnpike, and then you are at the airport. Unless you get off the turnpike to find another gas station (which requires knowing where you are going in an unfamiliar city), there is no easy way to fill the few gallons used. Clerk wanted to charge me $10 to replace those gallons but ultimately waived the fee.
Did not find the airport on-sight people at all pleasant.
Cons: Everything seemed too good to be true, because it was. I reserved the car, from Nov 12, at midnight. When I go to budget, the reservation was made for the 13.

Cons: Poor choice of vehicles... 2, a Mazda van or Mitsubishi Lancer... Why say that you feature Hyundai vehicles (which we would be happy with) and have none. Took the Lancer which was ok, good on gas, but a cheap feeling econo-car...meh. Have received much nicer vehicles renting from off airport rental companies, especially for a 4 week rental.
Pros: Everything with car great. Value is terrific.
Cons: Issue is pick-up and drop-off. Requires two shuttles to get to rental location, and the process to rent and return is not as efficient as it should be. If you want to decline insurance make sure you have an up-to-date insurance verification card with you. You will have to get your insurance agent on the phone if you do not. Had to wait on a car like many others once finished doing paperwork, and the time needed to return the car is unpredictable depending on whether that day they have a person checking you in, or you have to wait on the rental agent handling new renters to check you in.

Fort Lauderdale Airport
Pros: We did get a car that fit our needs pretty much perfectly, but we seemed to be lucky since their lot seems pretty sparse. It was the most affordable option, but you get what you pay for.
Cons: Warning, the Ace rental shop at FLL is not actually at the airport. You have to take a 5 minute shuttle ride out to it. We were not told about this and spent a few minutes trying to figure it out before asking one of the airport employees what to do. The car selection on the lot is pretty sparse and unlike a lot of other companies you do not get to pick the car on the lot, they assign you one.
Lastly, DO NOT buy the fastpass option for toll roads at this store unless you absolutely need it. They suggested getting it because we would "most likely need it" and that it was "pretty cheap". We even told them where we were going and they said there would be toll roads, but there weren't and it ended up costing us an extra ~$11/day.
In summary the Fort Lauderdale Ace Car rental shop was the least expensive option for us, but we got what we paid for and will be spending a bit more money to go somewhere else in the future.

Cons: ACE is not located at the Rental Car Center at Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL), a fact omitted from the confirming email. They are completely off site. You have to call them to find them. I did not learn this until after I went to Rental Car Center, saw no ACE and booked a car with someone else. I don't have time for that kind of nonsense.

Cons: I scheduled my pick-up time for 9:30 PM. When I arrived, our flight has been delayed a bit so I decided to call and make sure they were still open before we took the shuttle away from the airport and all other car rental shops: it was 10:12 PM. The email I received stated that Economy was open until 10 PM. When I called, I stated my dilemma and asked if they would still allow me to come pick up my car. The man on the other end of the phone said, "They close at 8 PM." How convenient that I STATED in my RESERVATION that I would pick up my car at 9:30 PM and the company KNEW they would not even be open at that time but I never received any notification. Horrible, horrible.The man on the phone informed me that because I never picked up the car before they closed that my reservation had been automatically cancelled. No one notified me of anything.

Cons: I got this car because it was the cheapest. I reserved it. When I went in, they added almost $30 in fees. I have never had a car rental company do this before. When I told them that this wasn't right and they shouldn't advertise low prices if they are going to charge more, they told me that I didn't have to rent the car. Meanwhile, at the same time this was going on, the owner was arguing with another customer and being condescending when he was inquiring why they were charging him $300 more than quoted when he originally rented the car. I was so disgusted with this company. I will never rent from them again under any circumstances. Rent at your own risk.

Pros: Car was new and good gas mileage.
Cons: Car made strange noises when driving on the highway, like the tires rubbing against the car itself or maybe air coming in thru doors really loud.., I'm not sure. This was communicated to rental location and their only solution was to bring it back. I was informed that location was not available in Naples, FL to switch it.
Rental car agency address was wrong on paperwork, which made waste time and put me in a time constraint. When I called agency to obtain zip code, agent didn't know it. He tried to transfer my call and instead call was disconnected. At this point frustration is at the highest level.
I finally was able to get address from another agent and returned car.

Cons: They are scammers! My total price went up when I got to the rental place and customer service was horrible. I refused their insurance coverage because I have my own insurance and they insisted for me to show them everything and email them right away. I was having problem accessing my policy on my phone and they were so impatient trying to force me to buy their insurance. Overall, everything was bad with this rental company. They set their price low online to get you and try to scam you with extra deposit and other charges! Go to a more well-known place and pay a higher price for a rental! Don't rent here!

Pros: We traveled with a lot of luggage and an extra person, so our rental was tiki small. Or clerk pushed us up to a Dodge Durango that fit skill of us and our luggage for $20. He was easy and awesome!

Pros: Jennifer (manager on site) tried to rectify my problem by offering a discount on the rental.
Cons: The truck was disgustingly filthy. I was told by the agent that the vehicles are not detailed only washed and vacuumed. I had to take it to have the carpet shampooed before allowing my family to travel in it.

Cons: For some reason they forgot to mention that they took out the rear headrests, which was not only extremely uncomfortable for my passengers on a 3-hour drive, but also poses an extreme accident injury/death risk. Pulled up to exit the rental car lot and get our papers, and waiting 10 minutes for someone to show up and take care of us even though there were no other customers around.
They also add an absurd amount of little fees that really add up.

Pros: Ease of booking. Pickup and drop process was extremely fast and smooth. There were No pushy salesmen also

It's all about the customer
Pros: The staff was friendly accommodating and very knowledgeable. The process was quick and easy and they offered me a great price. I rented for a month and ended up needing another rental at a later date so I went with them again without even checking other companies. I am confident I am getting the best. Ali and Camill were awesome, patient and professional.

Cons: I got to the airport around 5:30 pm not knowing you guys close at 6:00. When I got to you guys it was already closed. You guys could of giving me a call!! Poor service and I won't be using these guys ever.

Pros: Congratulations for your staff, best experience ever in a rental car office.
Cons: But you sent us to a site 12 miles away from the airport & we had asked for airport rental so we had to go through Dollar rentals

I Couldn't get the car
Pros: I went to pick up the car in the office correspondent and it was closed, so we went to other office and was closed as well. At the end at had to rent the car with thrifty company.
Cons: The office to pick up the at was close and I didn't have an advise of the office times.

Pros: When I got to Hertz I was told that my reservation was at another location, but instead of honoring the rate, I was told that I had to rent an SUV for more than double the price. Reservation was for $119 for 2 days. They tried charging me $309. I went to another rental company within the same rental center & rented a 2015 Dodge Charger for $105.
Cons: Treating me like like I'm a fool...smdh.

Pros: There were 12 counters plus two for Premier members.At the general counter there were only two persons. I was behind 14 persons and luggage, possibly seven rentals, I suppose. Finally, I was directed to the Kiosk. Kevin appeared on screen. Very unfriendly. Tried his best to charge me extra for additional twenty seven a day comp insurance, although I had taken car rental insurance with you (please check my reservation). He went on about empty gas return, its advantages and the $10 a gallon charges. Talked about upgrades within the class I rented, he said he'll give a jeeep accent instead of the RAV4. It took over thirty minutes. He charged my Chase Sapphire but then called the card company. Altogether an additional twenty five minutes. When I signed the docs I saw an additional $174 charge for upgrade. I cancelled it. Kevin was unhappy. I just wanted to go with my RAV4. I go to pick up car, theres a banged up Accent. Seats could not be adjusted. Dirty and smelly car. Lots of dents outside (have a copy of dent marking sheet) I am a unhappy camper. Hertz says they are number one, but not in my books. I've never seen an unadjustable seat in any SUV I've ever driven. Please look into it and possibly make changes in

Cons: Unfortunately our GPS was not working and I was originally told to come get a new on. This during major traffic hours...I was able to work it out where instead of 4 hours in traffic I purchased a GPS and had the charge taken off my bill. For my inconvenience I was also able to bring the vehicle back basically empty so the whole thing only cost me about $25 out of pocket. The folks at National definitely reached out to make it right. I would use KAYAK again for sure!
