Hassle free pickup!
Pros: When we arrived they didn't have any cars left so they put us in an SUV for the same price without any kind of hassle. The vehicle was clean and very well kept up. It was great to not have any hassles at all with the rental pickup and drop off! Thank you! They explained the insurance to us and took the time to go over all list of items we were getting with the rental.

Great car but no service at drop point
Pros: The car I was driving which was excellent.
Cons: The side windows and outside mirrors were water speckled and difficult to see out of.
There was only one person outside the Punta Gorda car rental building (not identified as a Budget employee to drop the keys with. I will not drop a vehicle again unless it is an identified Budget employee. He could have been anyone.

Cons: The seats in the car were stained and in need of a thorough cleaning. They were not even vacuumed as there were hairs all over the seats. For the prince I expect a clean car.
There was also no before or after check of the car for damage, making me very uncomfortable since the car had several dings and scratches when I picked it up.

Pros: Return at FLL was remarkably easy & quick.
Weekly price was excellent.
Pros: They clearly just overbook and accept every booking even so they don't have the cars if everybody show up. Then they lie to you at the desk. Really bad experience. No car. I booked Avis next door for more money but better and more reliable service

Easy friendly pickup
Pros: The counter guy was friendly efficient and helpful . Car was close to terminal great especially in the heavy rain. Return couldn't have been easier

Rental car to get me from SRQ to TPA.
Pros: Cordial counter representative. Fast response. Relatively quick check-out process.
Cons: Cars are across the street from the main terminal at SRQ and with the construction at the airport, it was a bit unsettling.

Drop off at TPA excellent
Pros: Drive right to an attendant, they hand u ur final bill and then u walk to terminal. Took less than 5 min & they was 3 cars coming in for retention at one time.

Pros: Easy pickup, short walk to vehicle. The staff was courteous, and explained the early drop off so we had no questions or issues.
Cons: The scare sell of insurance. I bought insurance online before the trip, so felt I was covered, but then got the bit about that insurance not being recognized by the rental agency, only theirs. How convenient. I have what I need, but you try to sell me something else that's 3X as expensive.

CSR guy at SRQ pick up was great....car was awful
Pros: Trying to find the car in the lot at SRQ was awful, I paced up and down that LOT IN THE HEAT..THE WAY THEY ARE NUMBERED AND LISTED/PARKED WITH OTHER CAR RENTAL COMPANIES WAS RIDICULOUS, AND I RECENTLY HAD A HIP REPLACEMENT. Car smelled and hesitates, and sputters, and I believe has a wheel bearing or allignment issue. Yuck!
Cons: Car shook and rattled when I drove it.

Pros: The review would be 5 stars all around, but they didn't have any cars when I arrived for my reservation. This was fixed within 5 minutes though, with excellent customer service. I had to drive a compact car instead of a mid-sized, but that ended up being ok. The agent gave me a little break on the price for this inconvenience. My total bill ended up being just over $90, including gas, for 3 days! Such a great price!
Cons: When I arrived there were no cars available. So I had a moment of panic, visiting other rental agencies. I got so lucky though, because somehow they found one for me only about 5 minutes later. A line began to form behind me, and I don't know what those people did... But my experience ended up being pretty awesome.

Car requested not available.
Pros: Sarasota airport under construction changes. Rental car p/u outside in parking lot . Where to go not well defined, inside, at checkout, car requested not available. Ended up paying about $15 more for vehicle obtained. Only needed it for one day, picked up in Sarasota, dropped off in Orlando.
Cons: Vehicle requested not available, subject to up charge.

Cons: The misleading pricing. I start with an affordable price and after one day extension you charge me full price. This was very disappointing since at pick up time the staff present clearly said it will not be a price issue. I repeatly ask over and over agaain if there was going to be a price difference and your staff said NO!,

Great Value, Iffy Drop Off
Pros: Price, value, speed of pick up.
Cons: Upon returning the car- it took awhile to find an agent and when they finally came to the car they were VERY aggressive and rude. They turned on the car and demanded the contract that I got with the car. I stated I didn't have it on hand and they told me I had to go inside to the agent because they wouldn't be able to close me out without it (I've rented dozens and dozens of cars and this has never been an issue.) Upon returning with the demanded paperwork she yells across the parking lot that she "no longer needs it" and the agent inside must have closed me out. That was confusing because I had only asked for a copy and wasn't sure if I was actually closed out. I decided to monitor the charge than deal with that woman and luckily it was fine. Great experience up until the end ruined by one bad apple.

Pros: Convenient able to go to the counter and get rental.
Cons: The people that we have to get the car from are absolutely rude. The one girl with all the tattoos is very unpleasant to deal with I think she needs to find a new job. The car did not have any major bells and whistles in it don't understand why the price tag on it is so high I actually have this vehicle as a regular vehicle and love it this thing drives like a tank

Pros: DROVE MY RENTAL FROM BUFFALO TO SARASOTA FL AND WAS DELAYED BY TRAFFIC FROM HURRICANE MATTHEW. HERTZ DIDNT CHARGE ME ANY EXTRA FOR LATE RETURN DUE TO THE STORM. THEY WERE VERY UNDERSTANDING.

Pros: I liked the ease of pick up at Sarasota.
Cons: They charged me for 2 days, as I missed the 24 hr window by an hour. It was never indicated the time of return in Miami. The car had a ten gallon tank, making us stop 2 times to fill up in a 25 hr period. Horrible customer experience at Miami Hertz!!

Cons: The car was not ready on time and I had to wait half an hour. They were eager to offer me other cars for money. The person bringing the car around was extremely rude. The bluetooth connection on the car did not work.

Cons: I had a 9 am pick up time. I was dropped off at Avis promptly at 9 am. The attendant was 20 minutes late opening the office door. I stood in the 37 degree weather waiting for him. There was no apology for his lateness. He was not knowledgeable about the vehicle as I wanted to upgrade from an economy car to a car with all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive and he knew nothing. He told me to walk around the lot and look for myself. When I finally got my car I got on the road. Somewhere in North Carolina the tire pressure light came on. I called Avis and they gave me a number to call when I called the office was closed. I drive home about 300 miles with the warning light on which made me super nervous and very very uncomfortable.

Pickup was 9 miles from the airport
Pros: Was not the regular on site rental location. Stood in line at the counter for 20min to find out it was actually at a tiny off site satellite office. Cost me a $35 taxi ride to get the car snd another $25 to allow me to drop it off at the airport upon return.
Pros: The gentleman at the Sarasota airport counter was very polite and accommodating! He did a great job getting me in and out of the rental process. Highly recommend Payless for weekly rentals. Car was clean and in great shape.

Cons: I specifically rented from Payless to drive the car they advertise for the class of automobile I rented...they didn't have that when I arrived; the car could have been cleaner, inside and out; overall, not a bad experience at all, but definitely room for improvement.
Agents were accommodating, but lack professionalis
Pros: Agent was able to reserve a vehicle for me for a different location than where I had originally reserved. The vehicle was comfortable, spacious, and easy to drive.
Cons: The cost of the rental was nearly double what I had been quoted online. The agents at the airport location were highly unprofessional and were carrying on personal (and inappropriate) conversations in front of customers.

Easy to Navigate Location
Pros: Dropping off is easy at this smaller, friendly airport.
Pros: Bill was extremely helpful in adjusting the amount overcharged. Paul was also a pleasure. Everything about our encounter was very very nice.
The drop off process was very easy. if I was not overcharged I would have been out of there in 5 minutes.
Cons: When i dropped off the car I was overcharged. Had I not looked at my receipt I would not have known. I had to go inside and go to the counter to have the charge adjusted.
