Pros: The agent was courteous,friendly, and efficient. She made sure we had the vehicle we wanted and had it available clean and fresh and ready to go. The price was right as well. No problems at all and we were very pleased with the great service and experience.
Cons: No complaints except the taxes which were more than Hertz was charging for the vehicle. Something is terribly wrong when the government is getting more for doing nothing than a business charges for providing it's service and/or product!

Terrible Company and place. Paid for car and they refused to give car
Pros: Nothing! kayak should remove Hertz from their deals. Hertz will not honor them
Cons: Everything. The attendant at the car rental was racist. I had to go find her and it took15 minutes because I was there on time. The car was not ready and I want her fired so she cannot do that to another minority, her name was Deborah and she worked at the car rental in Winston-Salem, NC right by the Smith-Reynolds Airport.

Cons: The battery was dead and the car had to be jumped off 4 times. Took the car back Saturday at 5 to drop off early and tried to call and let someone know the car had been returned two days early and what the problem was. After several attempts at calling and getting a real person to talk with the two people we finally got could not/would not help us make a note the car was left early. Very poor customer service.

Worked out in the end
Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. clean, new cars. Enjoyed eventual upgrade after swapping out car 2x.
Cons: 1st car had a broken driver seat (wouldn't move up/back). 2nd car had a loud engine that didn't seem to be functioning at its best, despite having been reportedly recently inspected.

Easy and priced right

Cons: Customer service giving conflicting information via the international telephone hotline. Ended up speaking with at least three different people.

Cons: The van I reserved was not available when I went to pick it up. I was overcharged for the vehicle after I dropped it off. Despite filling the tank, I was charged a $32 refueling fee. Took 4 separate conversations with customer service to adjust the charges and it still paid a higher than the rate I was told at the counter, "but there is nothing we can do about the representative giving you false information." The local facility is understaffed and the cooperate support / customer service is pitiful.

Car in poor condition
Pros: The car had multiple scratches and small dents.
The back seat appears to have a possible cigarette burn.

Pros: Great car and rate. Would’ve spent more if I went any other route.
Cons: I was told that on return of the vehicle I could charge the rental fee to a different credit card. When I returned the vehicle, nobody was at the desk and there was a sign directing me to put the key, etc. in the drop box. I called when I got home and was told by someone in Budget's office (not the local office) that I could not change the card then and that I would have to call back in 48 hours to do so.

Cons: Dropping off in NC took 90 minutes! Computer was down, software antiquated, only one employee trying to deal with a bunch of pre-holiday rentals. Won't be using Budget in Winston again.

Pros: Short line checked out quick
Cons: Girl at desk was rolling her eyes and slightly aggressive towards customer on phone.... no customer wants to see that. There was also an issue with a partial refund ( for the gas I put into the vehicle I had to return) for which I was dissapointwd to see her blame the previous employee that rented me the car. I ended up only getting part of a refund I was promised but dude that even bother mentioning as it was all I could handle. It's unfortunate paying less results in less customer care
Pros: This was my first time using Kayak to get a rental car and it was a very easy process. The price was the same when compared to Enterprise Car rental but I had to enter discount codes to get the best price on Enterprise so this saved me the hassle of that extra step. Plus you can purchase 3rd party car rental insurance for less than half the cost from the renter.
