If you make a reservation don't expect them to honor itPros:NothingCons:We went to pick up our confirmed paid rental the location was closed, called customer service their solution was to cancel the reservation and have us drive an hour away to the air port to pick up a car and the best part was they wanted to charge us over $100 more than our original reservation. Absolutely horrible company that has no idea what customer service is, if your company makes a mistake and books a reservation for a closed location you fix it not try to make it as hard as you can and double the fee.Reviewed 31 May 2018

Pros:Drop off was easy. Staff were friendly.Cons:The radio in our car didn't work so we called the main number. Woman told us to call the local rental agency and gave us two numbers, neither of which worked. We tried to use the bluetooth and stream music, but that didn't work either. We stuck it out with the car but no radio makes for a long ride.Reviewed 15 Mar 2021

Pros:Nothing actually!Cons:The prices were ridiculous, the van was dirty, kept warning it needed an oil change, reaked of CIGARETTES and was almost unbearable to drive from Winston-Salem to Charlotte with my mother in law in kids so we could get to the airport all together! Never again will I rent from y’all AND I will be contacting corporate office about my experience as well.Reviewed 18 Jul 2020

Great ServicePros:The agent was courteous,friendly, and efficient. She made sure we had the vehicle we wanted and had it available clean and fresh and ready to go. The price was right as well. No problems at all and we were very pleased with the great service and experience.Cons:No complaints except the taxes which were more than Hertz was charging for the vehicle. Something is terribly wrong when the government is getting more for doing nothing than a business charges for providing it's service and/or product!Reviewed 2 May 2017

Why is it called a reservation?Pros:The car was clean and fine once we received it, and was larger than expected.Cons:What is the point in making a reservation if the reservation does not actually reserve you a car? When I showed up to collect the car, the desk agent informed me that there wasn't actually a car there for us. That's not really a reservation, is it? Thank God it wasn't absolutely critical to have the car ready that minute for something like a wedding or a funeral. Also, we do not use credit cards. We do not own credit cards, but we have a bank card through visa. We were told that this was in adequate to use to pay for the car by the desk agent. The car rental was a gift for the person who was going to be driving it, and we had to end up asking her to use her credit card to pay for the car rental which we had intended to get for her. Ripped OffCons:I turned the car in 5 Days early expecting a refund for days not used. Several days later I called Hertz and learned that the fine print said, “screw you customer”. Of course no one mentioned this to me when I turned the car in early. I could and would have kept it for the full term of agreement had I known. Cons:The battery was dead and the car had to be jumped off 4 times. Took the car back Saturday at 5 to drop off early and tried to call and let someone know the car had been returned two days early and what the problem was. After several attempts at calling and getting a real person to talk with the two people we finally got could not/would not help us make a note the car was left early. The attendant at the car rental was racist. I had to go find her and it took15 minutes because I was there on time.
